Softly falling flakes of white

Nature gleams in morning light

Overjoyed with blanket's height

Wee one jumps like leaping sprite

Fort of snow for snowball fight

And a snowman, fort's white knight

Laughter slays our daily plight

Lifts our hearts on snowy night
