Nature is a lovely place

To let thoughts fly free in space

Talk to birds and bumblebees

Hear my words float through green trees

No one argues with my words

Only squawk is from blackbirds

Dispute over patch of ground

Watching for a small bug's bound

Nature is a special place

To pen words on a white space

In the background music flows

Melodies from nature's shows

Wren trills an ear splitting tune

Chickadee tweets happy croon

Woodpecker knocks tap, tap, tap

In the distance small dog yaps

Car tires squeal around sharp curve

Oops! My pen takes little swerve

Thoughts are jumbled on deck floor

Next my mind does slow restore

Watch tree leaves sway in soft winds

As warm breeze tickles my skin

Words begin to flow with ease

Nature sure knows how to please
