Each time Dad takes chair nap

A fluffy twirl of fur

Is sleeping in his lap

His ears awake to purr

He tells fur sneak to scat

Four paws thump on wood floor

Protest meow from cat

I've seen this spat before

For when Dad's snores slip out

White cat sits at his feet

She waits til there's no doubt

That he is fast asleep

She jumps up on chair arm

And gives him careful peek

And when there's no alarm

She knows it's time to sneak

Movie in slow motion

Each paw placed in his lap

When there's no commotion

She settles for a nap

Her eyes are closed in bliss

Another round is won

And nothing is amiss

Her game is so much fun
