This is the first real poem I wrote with the intention of it being lyrics. It's meant to be part of a cute animated movie, hence the upbeat and simple phrases about how to live in the moment and be happy for the day ahead! Here we are,

A perfect day under clear blue skies.

Clouds have said goodbye,

The morning bell says to rise.

A breeze comes by,

It tells me today's an all time prize!

Cheer up, the sun is coming out to play.

Dust off your fears and all your worrying.

No time to sit and cry the time away.

A sparkle peeks out to say,

Sunshine is all you need to be okay.

Sunrise and change your rainy outtake.

No point when all you have is this one day.

There will be no today tomorrow.

So smile bright, open wide,

And greet the sun's

Sunshine!
