During dinner we all talk and laugh but Daniel whispers to me "after dinner we need to have a talk.'' I look at him and nod thinking that he was either going to yell at me for kicking my dad or that's he was going to return me and take another kid. The rest of dinner I don't talk I just think and think and think.

Once dinner was done Joey said that he wanted to get frozen yogurt but Daniel said that they could go and we would just head home. Confused Joey agreed and once him and the twins were in the car Daniel called an Uber and in the car we were silent until we got home Daniel payed the guy but I was already in the house and i put on my glasses little did Daniel know that they had a camera in them and I was recording. "LYRA CRYSTAL GRACEFFA GET DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW!" He screamed up I turn the camera on and run downstairs where he starts yelling at me and he grabs my by the shirt and I smell something in his breath wine how many glasses did he have tonight "Daniel calm down this isn't you." I say but he slaps me hard across my face causing me to fall face first on a table and I stumble upstairs trying to slow down the blood flowing from my nose "IF YOU TELL JOEY I WILL SEND YOU BACK TO THE ORPHANAGE!" He yells and I quickly run into my room and lock the door so i could retrieve the video from the glasses.

Half and hour later Daniel comes up and falls asleep by this time Storm, Wolf, and Lark are all in my room and Joey and the twins are still not home so I text Joey
Ly: hey Joe how long till you get home? I need to show you something.
Joey: sorry Ly we got stuck in traffic we should be back in 3 to 5 minutes
Ly: otay
And just like Joey said 4 minuets later he's home with the twins "Hey Ly let me put these two to bed and then you can show me that thing." He says and smiles at me. 2 minuets later he comes in and says "So what did you want to show me?" And i juts break down sobbing and I point to the Crome book. "Just watch the video and then we can talk.'' I whisper.

"Oh my god he did that!" Joey says screaming and I just nod and push back my hair revealing a bruise that Daniel left. "Oh my god Ly I knew something was off with you at dinner and then when Daniel wouldn't let you come get frozen yogurt something was off. God I'm the worst dad ever.'' He said through tears of both sadness and anger and all I could do was hug him eventually he told me to go to sleep and I did hoping that I would be safe. Funny to not even feel safe in your home. A funny felling it was.
