also I love Riverclan so much and Mistystar is a good leader imo but I hope they open their borders again soon. I miss Mothwing.

and holy shit the ending. It sets up the conflict for the next two books perfectly, with Shadowclan disbanding and joining Skyclan. Tigerheart/Tigerstar 2.0 has a lot of shit to fix when he gets back lmao. AND THE SCENE WITH TREE BRINGING THE DEAD CATS BACK AS GHOSTS FROM THE LAKE JUST MMMM

That's such a dark scene tho, since they're all coming from the lake that means all their bodies sunk down there, and just ughhh that's sad.

ALSO IVYPOOL AND FERNSONG WERE ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE AND I LOVE FERNSONG SO MUCH HE'S A GOOD PURE BOY.
And the conflict between Alderheart and Sparkpelt is really nicely done, with Sparkpelt shockingly being so averse to Skyclan settling at the lake and Alderheart feeling neglected by her since she and Larksong seem to be getting together. It's really good to see them work it out later too.

Another thing I liked was Harestar. He's a good leader and I'm excited to see him grow. This is good for Windclan, they needed him.

Snowbush died in this book too, since a rockslide occurred in Thunderclan's camp, and it was pretty sad and gritty. Though I had a feeling he was gonna die as soon as he was noticeably lagging behind with Alderheart when they were trying to escape.

OH YEAH, The entire part in this book where Hawkwing, Violetpaw, Rabbitleap, Blossomheart, and Molewhisker go back to look for the rest of Skyclan made me really happy. They found Nettlesplash, Mintfur, and their kits, Nectarpaw, Fringepaw, Palepaw, and Gravelpaw, and they also found the best cat;

Fidgetpaw.

Oh, they also saved Frecklewish from an apartment building too which was pretty cool. Skyclan has their medicine cats back which is really nice. Leafpool gets to go home now lmao.

Oh! And I'm happy to see Cherrytail and Cloudmist come home with Hawkwing and co. It's good to see them come back.

I also really loved Molewhisker in this book, weird huh? He's a side character, but he actually shows some character development involving his feelings with Skyclan arriving at the lake. At first he isn't okay with it, and agrees with his sister, Cherryfall, that they should go back to the gorge, but when he finishes the journey back to the gorge he actually really likes the Skyclan cats and you notice that he seems way more supportive of their stay, which is good.

One more thing, the scene where the medicine cats get the newest prophecy is really cute. Leafpool gets to finally see Hollyleaf again, Purdy shows up which confirms that he made it to Starclan, Kinkfur and Crowfrost show up for Puddleshine, Crookedstar makes an appearance, and you get to see Kestrelflight talk to Onestar, which is good. I like how Firestar and Echosong both delivered the prophecy too. It's good to see that she'll be involved in the books too, now that Skyclan's ancestors walk among the other Starclan cats now.

I think that's all I have to say on the book for now though. Waiting 5 months for River of Fire is gonna be annoying, but I'm sure it'll be Roth the wait, hopefully.

Next book I have to read is Tigerheart's Shadow, and after that I have Secrets of the Clans and Shadows of the Clans
