Chapter 9: A Date

A man was walking down the hall. He wore a dark cloak with a hat and gloves. The man soon stopped in front of a door; he reached out and tried to open it, but it was locked "Huh, knew it wouldn't be this easy," he whispered as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a key. Unlocking the door, he walked through it and into the room, but before the door closed a man wearing a turtle-neck and a beanie caught it with a smirk on his face. He too walked into the room behind the cloaked man and when he stepped inside, he saw nothing but horse-stalls and piles of hay "Where the hell did he go?" the man whispered before he felt someone tap his shoulder. Turning around and saw a man with a burlap sack over his head with a fake mustache and glasses

"What's the matter with that bewildered look? But I guess I shouldn't be asking that question, considering that your kind always does," replied the mustached man as the beanie-wearing man grabbed him by the collar of his cloak

"I ain't lost, I wus looking fer you!" the beanie-wearing man said as he pushed the other man into the wall, "I wanna know how ya always win! The last 3 games I lost over $2,000 big ones, and the winner of each one is you! So hows about you do me a favor and give me a cut... or else,"

"Now, now, no need for violence, how about I just give you the secret to my success?"

"What are you talking about?"

"I rigged the games, that simple,"

"You rigged 3 football games? Bull! Not even the penguin could've done something like that! Maybe Lynn Loud, if she was willing to ge on her knees," the beanie-wearing man replied with a slight blush and a smirk. The mustache man growled a bit before he coughed and said: "Well then, man of little brain, allow me to show you the secret," as he pulled out an envelope and tapped it against the beanie-wearing man's head, "you can read, can't you?"

"Give me that!" he shouted as he dropped the man and grabbed the envelope. Turning around. He opened it and pulled out a piece of paper. He read it and gritted his teeth "BOO! What the fuck is this, a joke?!" the beanie-wearing man shouted as he turned back to the other man

"I can assure you, it's no joke. It's the fear of victory that makes you act like you are now," replied the man as he stood in the shadows. The beanie-wearing man took a step toward him as a loud hiss echoed in his ears and he started coughing. Soon, the room started to morph and turned into a hell-house as the man stepped out of the shadows to be Scarecrow "The agony of the Scarecrow will be shown to you now," Scarecrow said as a snake slithered out of his mouth

"N-no! G-get away! Get away!" the beanie-wearing man shouted as he tripped and fell onto his back

"You already understand step one of how I win the games. But now I think it's time to move onto step two!"

"GET AWAY FROM ME!"

"Hehehe! HAHAHAHAH! AHHAHAHAHAHA!" Scarecrow laughed as the man's screams couldn't be heard over his laughter.

Scarecrow was walking out of the room. In one hand was a hand full of cash and the other, the key. He locked the door behind him as the beanie-wearing man was laying on the floor with a giant wet spot on his pants. Flicking the key into the air, Scarecrow stuffed the cash into his pocket while a crow caught the key and started to fly away "Ah, the wonders of business," he said when a Batarang was tossed at his feet

"You're not going anywhere, Scarecrow," Lynn said as she landed in front of him

"The Bat! About time you managed to find me again, how long has it been? Months?" Scarecrow asked as Lynn glared at him

"What did you do to the man behind that door?"

"Oh, we were just having a lovely chat. But I don't think he had the... 'gonads' to handle it," Scarecrow replied, "yet, I need to be going somewhere, so how about you let me slip through your fingers and call it a day, eh?"

"Don't think I don't remember our last meeting, Scarecrow. I'm taking you in," Lynn said as she spread her feet hand put her hands up in front of her. Scarecrow seemed to sigh as he pulled out his chain and started to swing it around "Let's make this quick then," Scarecrow said as Lynn rushed at him. Scarecrow swung his chain around as Lynn ducked under it and pushed off her heels. Scarecrow tried to move backward, back his back hit the door as he cursed himself; Lynn struck him in the chest as she went for a left jab, hitting him in the liver. Lynn jumped as she headbutted Scarecrow and curled into a ball in the air; performing a drop-kick as she came back down to the floor. Scarecrow was sent through the door as Lynn hopped back up to her feet and walked inside "You've seemed to have lost that bite of your since the last time we met," Lynn said as she suddenly felt chains wrap around her leg, "not again" she seemly whined as she was pulled to the ground and swung through a stable and slammed into the wall

"Well, you haven't seen everything I can do, Bat! We've only fought once!" Scarecrow said as he pulled his chain back and elbowed Lynn in the chin. He then raised his leg into the air at an impossible angle and slammed it down on Lynn's stomach. Lynn grunted in pain as Scarecrow shoved his foot further into her stomach. He leaned down with his head tilted and said: "Let's do this another time, yeah?" and kicked her across the room. Throwing his chain-hook to a window, it shattered as he pulled back on it and was sent through the window "See you later-" Scarecrow was cut off by an alarm ringing in Lynn's ear. She tapped the side of her head and said: "Alfred?"

"Master Lynn, did you forget that you were taking Lily to her 'date'?" Alfred asked with an angry tone as Lynn face-palmed

"Son of a- *sigh* alright, I'll be right back," Lynn replied as she hung up.

Later:

Lynn was walking through the Bat Cave as Alfred followed closely behind her "This is what happens when your life is all work and no play," Alfred said as Lynn nodded

"Yes, yes, I know, I know! I should relax once and a while, let the police handle some crime for a change," Lynn replied as she was taking off the Bat-suit, "guess I've been playing for so long that I needed to take some responsibility,"

"I'm going to have to agree with you," Alfred said as he turned around, "by the way, your dress,"

"Dress?" Lynn asked as she saw the dress glossy dress next to her, "Oh, that dress,"

"I thought it would be appropriate," Alfred replied as he heard Lynn sigh. Alfred waited for a few minutes before he felt Lynn tap his shoulder. Looking back, he saw Lynn in the red dress. He mentally hit himself as he saw that it was a bit too small, it hugged her hips as much as it did her decently sized bust. But he couldn't help but say: "Y-you look marvelous, Master Lynn,"

"Really? Are you sure?" Lynn asked as Alfred nodded

"Y-yes, I'm sure," Alfred replied, 'Damn-it all! There isn't enough time to get a new dress! We gotta leave in the next 5 minutes!'

"Alright, let's get this over with," Lynn said as they both hurried to the elevator.

20 Minutes Later:

Lynn sat next to Lily in the limo as Alfred drove. Lily was wearing a nice lavender dress with pink socks that reached her knees and black shoes. But the thing that completed the dress, that Lynn found didn't match even by her standards, was the orange bow in her hair. Lily had a smile on her face as they soon pulled up to an apartment complex. At the front door was Jonathan as he was walking slowly to the limo. Lily rolled down the window as he approached "Hey there, Miss Loud, how ya doing?" Jonathan asked as he bent down and leaned on the car

"I'm fine, how are you doing?" Lily asked

"Oh, I'm fine. But my day just got better by seeing you," Jonathan replied. Lily seemed to blush as Lynn made a small growl. She couldn't see his face because of the mask and that made it harder to see his facial expressions. But Jonathan seemed to hear the growl as he looked over at her and said: "My, my, the great Lynn Loud. It's a pleasure to meet you,"

"Likewise," Lynn replied with a glare as Jonathan seemed to flinch

"Alright then... mind if I come in?"

"Please," Lily said as Johnathan opened the door and got into the limo. Closing the door, Jonanthan sat next to Lily as Lynn could only glare more "Lily, would you like to sit next to me?" Lynn asked as she shook her head

"No, I'm good," Lily replied

"That wasn't a request," Lynn said as Lily hung her head in sorrow. She quickly moved to Lynn's side as the ladder tapped the glass-window, causing Alfred to start moving. Jonathan seemed to sit calmly in front of the duo while Lily was smiling at him, albeit she was trying to hide it from Lynn "So, Jonathan, right?" Lynn asked

"Yes?" Jonathan replied

"Tell me, what do you do for a living?"

"Oh, I'm a doctor,"

"Really now? What kind of doctor?"

"I work with... mental patients," Jonathan replied. Lynn seemed to raise an eyebrow at this when Jonathan said: "Well, actually, I'm more of a psychiatrist. Mental Doctor; Psychiatrist, it's the same thing at the end of the day, right?"

"I... believe so," Lynn said as Lily coughed

"Anyway, where would you like to go?" Lily asked as Jonathan scratched his chin

"To be honest, I haven't got a clue! How about you decide?" Jonathan said as Lily tilted her head

"Really?"

"Why not? This was your idea to begin with, I've got nothing to do, nothing to see, I'm single," Jonathan said as Lily and Lynn continued to listen. But Lynn was making mental notes of him as he did. Yet as much as Lynn wanted to know more, the mask on his face was getting to her "Jonathan, would you please take off your mask?" Lynn asked

"E-excuse me?" Jonathan replied

"Your mask, take it off,"

"No can do, Ms. Loud, I suffer from asthma. Sure I got an inhaler, but I prefer not to take chances," Jonathan said as Lynn sighed

"Alright, fine,

"Okay then. So, Lily, where are we going?" Jonathan said as Lily was thinking

"Where to go? Where to go... I got it! How about we go to the restaurant Bobby owns?" Lily asked

"Really? That place?" Lynn asked

"What are you two talking about?" Jonathan asked, "Are you talking about the District Attorney; Bobby Santiago Jr.?"

"Yes, he bought a restaurant... that his little sister runs," Lynn replied as she shrunk

"So we can go?" Lily asked

"Sure,"

"YAY!"

[Hope you all enjoyed and sorry this is gonna be a two-parter]
