Chapter 8: Play your Cards! Part 3!

Lynn slowly walked to the door as the man ran to a phone. Taking out a lock-pick, Lynn tried to unlock the cell door for the next few minutes. But after not being able to unlock it, the pick broke in two "Damn it!" Lynn whispered

"So, the Batgirl, huh?" said a voice as Lynn knew who it was

"Son of a- Clyde's here?!" Lynn whispered to herself as she was trying to think of a way out. Looking around, Lynn staired at the smiley face Luan had drawn on the wall. Outside, Clyde was walking behind the Arkham worker "So you're sure it's the Batgirl?" Clyde asked

"Y-yeah, man, I'm sure. I don't even know how she got in there," the worker said

"Or what she did with Joker?" Ying questioned

"It's just fricken weird, man," the worker continued as they stopped a few feet before the door where Lynn was trapped. Ying put a hand on the worker's shoulder as she said: "We'll take it from here," and she and Clyde took positions on the sides of the door. Clyde and Ying peeked inside to see a dark room... and Luan in the corner, laughing to herself. Clyde sighed in frustration and he walked up to the worker and said: "You think it's funny wasting police time?"

"W-what are you talking about?! I swear, she was in there!" the worker argued

"You're the one who should be in there, come on, McBride," Ying said, "we need to get to Gotham Palace Theater," and they both left. The worker looked inside to see Luan had calmed down but was rocking herself in the corner still "Man, I gotta take some time off," they mumbled as he walked away. Luan then stood up and waved her arms around before she tore off the jacket to show the Bat-suit. Lynn took off the giant green wig and removed the mask from her face. Whipping off the face paint, she put back on her cowl. Jumping to the ceiling, she heard the worker open the door with a taser gun in their hand "Where did you go?" the worker asked as Lynn jumped down "H-hey!" the shouted as Lynn closed the door behind her, locking the worker in the room.

Somewhere Else:

Clyde and Ying arrive at Gotham Palace Theater. Clyde stepped out of the car as he walked toward the building "Urgh if this is a prank, it sure as hell isn't funny," he said to Ying

"Feels more like a trap than anything else," Ying replied

"HEHAHAHAHA!" screamed out laugher as Luan popped out of a garbage can from in from of the building. Before the two could scream, Luan pulled out a taser and said: "Showtime," zapping the two.

Later:

Clyde and Ying woke up with a pain in their necks "Ahh, man, everything hurts," Clyde said as they looked around to see they weren't the only ones here. Rows of people were filled behind them as they had front-row seats "Detectives, get us out of here!" pleaded a man next to Clyde as the ladder nodded

"Alright, just hold on and we'll -ung!" Clyde spoke as he tried his best to move his feet. Looking down, he saw that his shoes were glued to the floor. He sighed as he sat down and ran his hand through his hair "Theater with a sticky floor... oh man, this brings back memories," Clyde said as circus music started to play.

Lights started to turn on as the stage lit up and at the center was Luan. She spun around to the crowd and said: "Welcome to Jokers Reven-a-Rama!" as she took a few steps back and showed a larger version of the weapon she used to turn the Judge into a large card. Luan coughed and said: "allow me to introduce my first guest," and ran to the side of the stage to pull out the Judge she kidnapped, "Judge Horris Wigzell! He's such a card," she said as she pushed a button and laughter echoed through the theater. Clyde gritted his teeth as he said: "I'll deal Luan a hand once I get my foot outta my shoe," and Ying stopped him

"Hold on, partner, don't do anything rash," Ying said as they looked at the stage. Luan was walking to her machine with ballerina twirls and leaned on it "Now why are you here you're wondering? Because yall done me wrong!" Luan shouted as she pointed at the judge, "Wigzey! You sentenced me to life in the looney bin! Detectives, you arrested me, shame on you!" she continued as she pointed at Clyde, "But you, McBride... I hate you the most! Also, you, doc, how many times to I have to say it? I DON'T LIKE MACARONNIE AND CHEESE!". Luan jumped up and down like a child as she said: "OH! How I wanted to deck all of you! So, deck you, I shall!" and the curtain behind her pulled away to show the ocean. Turning her body, Luan round-housed the Judge into the river "Go fish!" Luan laughed as she pushed the button to cause the fake laugher. Ying gritted her teeth as she got up from her chair without her shoes "JOKER YOU MANIAC!" she shouted as Luan hopped behind her machine and shot her. Ying was engulfed in a purple beam and trapped her in a card. Luan whistled as she spun Ying around "Would you look at that, Queen of Spades!" Luan said as Clyde jumped up from his seat. Luan got behind her machine again and pointed it at him "Take a step back, before I slap you, Jack. Get it? Slap Jack? HAHAHA!" Luan said as Clyde groaned

"Guess some things never change," Clyde whispered as he sat back down.

At the Bottom of the Water:

The Judge was at the bottom of the water. His eyes searched as he felt something pushing him up. Lynn had on an air mask as she brought him to the surface.

At The Stage:

Luan was adjusting her machine with a giggle as she pointed it at the crowd "Now it's time for my favorite game! 52 Pick-up! HAHAHAHA!" Luan said as she looked up and saw the curtain coming down. Luan looked around for the cause when she heard "The reviews are in, Joker, you show's a flop," Lynn said as she jumped down from the rafting and kicked her. Luan took the hit and did backflips away from Lynn. Luan smiled as she rubbed her cheek "Can't stay away from me, can you, Batsy?" Luan asked as she grabbed a rope, "Guess opposites do attract," she continued as she undid the rope and shot up to the ceiling

"Damn it, and I just got down!" Lynn said as she looked up and saw a sandbag coming down. Lynn rolled out of the way and used her batclaw to get back up to the ceiling. Lynn faced Luan as the ladder shook her arms You really are persistent, aren't you?" Luan asked as she looked down to see Clyde

"Let's chip you out of there," Clyde said as Luan smiled

"Chip? Good idea!" Luan said as she pulled out a handful of poker-chips. Luan threw them at Lynn, causing a chain of explosions. Lynn was blown back a bit and started to fall, but she caught herself by shooting the batclaw and climbed to the roof. When she got there, she tackled Luan to the ground. Lynn was kicked in the stomach off Luan as they both got some distance between each other "You're going back to Arkham, Joker, I can only imagine what your brother would think," Lynn said as Luan's eye twitched

"Well, Batsy, I can say one thing for sure... LIFE'S JUST ONE BIG JOKE! AND MY LIFE'S THE PUNCHLINE!" Luan shouted as she pulled out a boxing glove and pulled a trigger inside of it. The glove shot at Lynn as the ladder was hit by it. Lynn was pushed back as Luan tried again, but Lynn grabbed it and pulled Luan in. Punching her in the jaw, Lynn kicked her in the ribs and pulled her to the ground. They both fell through the roof and collapsed onto the stage. Luan got up and ran to her machine as she shouted: "Do you have any idea how close I was?! Not only was I gonna get my revenge on them for putting me in the looney bin the second time, I WAS GONNA GET CLYDE! THAT USELESS LITTLE SHIT! HE SHOULD'VE BEEN THE ONE! NOT MY BROTHER!" and began to charge it at Lynn. Lynn took out a Batarang and threw it at the weapon. Luan has knocked away and the barrel was pointed at her. Luan saw this and frowned "Oh, poop," she whispered as she was hit by the beam. When Lynn was able to see again, she saw that Luan was in a Joker Card. Taking several deep breaths, Lynn smirked as she escaped the area when she heard the sirens.
