Chapter 8: Play Your Cards!
In the courthouse at night, a man with blonde hair wearing a black court dress was doing paperwork. Judge Wigzell was working late as he wrote in his book with a yawn. He heard something moving as he stopped to listen. He heard nothing as he continued working, that was until he heard something loud from the other side of the door to his office "Hello? Anyone there?" he asked, "Sam, is that you?" he continued as he got up from his chair and walked to the door. As he walked to the door, he said: "Sam, if you're working late again without telling me, I'm gonna-" as he opened the door and there stood Luan with a machine hooked up to her back
"Hello, Wigzey, miss me?" Luan asked as she pointed an attachment at him
"Y-you! B-but I put you away for years!" Wigzell said as he backed away
"That's the thing, Wigzey, you can't always rely on the law to make things go your way," Luan replied as she walked toward him, "sometimes you just gotta play the wrong cards in the right ways! HAHAHAHA!" she laughed as she pulled the trigger and Wigzell was blasted with a purple light.

End Intro:
Ying and Clyde arrive at the courthouse. They rushed into the building with two officers behind them all the while Lynn watched from afar on a nearby rooftop. Clyde and Ying run around the building until they see the janitor "We're Gotham PD, where is he?" Clyde asked as the janitor pointed to the door behind him
"I-In t-there!" the janitor replied," b-but you w-won't b-believe it!"
"Something tells me I won't," Clyde whispered as he and Ying walked through the door to see Wigzell encased in a giant card. Clyde rubbed his eyes as he said: "Whoa,"
"Whoa is right," Ying commented
"Been carded with a king, not surprising,"
"You two, help me chip him out!" Ying ordered as the three approached him. But before they could help, he was pulled away as Wigzell was pulled through a nearby door. Everyone looked through the door down the hallway to see Luan riding go-kart race-car contraption with Wigzell on a small platform with wheels. Luan laughed a sick cackle as they looked in awe "Luan? What's she doing here?!" Clyde whispered as Luan drove down the hallway with Wigzell trailing behind her
"GO! GO, GO, GO!" Ying shouted as Luan sped down the stairs with Wigzell going through the wall as she turned. He then slammed into the railing of the stairs as Luan went down them "My, my, this is one bumpy road, how are people supposed to climb up and down these things all day? HEY, WIGZEY! IF YOU MAKE IT OUT OF THIS ALIVE, FIX THESE STAIRS, WILL YA?!" Luan said as she got some air when she flew out of the building. Making a hard right turn, she laughed as Clyde and Ying finally got out of the courthouse "Damn it!" Ying spat as Lynn came racing past them in her Batmobile. Lynn was gaining some ground as she caught up with Luan. Looking at Wigzell, she saw his eyes move and whispered: "Alright, that's creepy," as she started to get in the lead of Luan. But Luan shook her head as she said: "Poor, poor, Batsy, doesn't she know that she's not always... RIGHT!" and made a very sharp turn into an alleyway that caused Lynn to fly by her. Shifting gears, Lynn spun the Batmobile around with a screech as she pushed the pedal down to the floor and sped toward her.
Later:
Lynn and Luan were on Gotham Bridge as Lynn was starting to catch up. Luan looked down at the assortment of buttons on her vehicle "Now, which one to push? Hmmmmm... THIS ONE!" Luan whispered as she pushed a button and oil was spilling out behind her "Jeeze, better keep quiet about this or else the Government may start a war with me," she continued to whisper as Lynn went through the oil and started to spin off the bridge. Making donuts on the bridge, Lynn tried to steady her Batmobile as she opened the hatch and shot her Batclaw at the support beams of the bridge. Her vehicle was about to fell into the river as she pulled it back onto the road. Looking at the end of the bridge, she saw Luan driving off with Wigzell in tow. Banging her head against the steering wheel, she sighed as she drove off back home.
That Morning:
"For some reason, it says that Luan has been locked up in her cell. All night long, too," Lynn said as Alfred handed her breakfast
"Perhaps a decoy?" Alfred suggested
"Maybe, but other things don't really make sense," Lynn replied as she paced the Batcave, "Luan abducted Judge Wigzell, but not before making sure the police, and me, see that she did. Like she was making him seem like a trophy... like when I was younger," she continued as she sat down. Rubbing the bridge of her nose, Alfred shook his head as he said: "Trying to make sense of her is like trying to move a mountain,"
"You can say that again, yet it was her 'calling card'. Her way of announcing her plan,"
"Do you think there's more to come?" Alfred asked
"Maybe she's out to get a full deck,"
"51 victims?! Really? Where would you even start?" Alfred questioned as Lynn leaned back into her chair
"One name is sure to be on her hit list, Alfred," Lynn stated as she put on her cowl, "The Batgirl,". Alfred sighed as Lynn got up "I'll lay the bait at Luan's last house of cards," Lynn said as Alfred snapped his fingers
"That reminds me, I've been meaning to say that Lily and I met this interesting fellow the night you let her pick out a movie," Alfred said
"Oh yeah? Did he cause any trouble?" Lynn asked as she turned to him
"No! Not at all, if anything he was more helpful than harmful. He was so generous that he even paid for the items Lily wanted,"
"Really?"
"Yes, and Lily has been meaning to pay him back," Alfred said as Lynn raised an eyebrow
"For some reason, I don't like where this is going," Lynn said with a hint of worry in her voice
"You have nothing to worry about, but I must inform you that Lily plans to 'take him out' this weekend,"
"Excuse me?" Lynn asked as she looked at him. Her heart was racing as Alfred nodded "Yes, it seems Lily wants to take him out of a date, but don't worry, I'll be chaperoning so there won't b-"
"I'll go," Lynn said as she interrupted Alfred
"W-what?" Alfred asked
"I'll go chaperone for you," Lynn repeated
"A-are you sure? Wouldn't the Batgirl be busy that night?" Alfred questioned as Lynn tightened her fists. Taking a deep breath, Lynn sighed as she said: "I guess even she can take one night off," as Alfred gained a soft smile
"I see... well then, I better stop this chit-chat and let you go," Alfred said as he walked away
"Alright, later, Alfred," Lynn said as she entered the Batmobile and left. Alfred shook his head as he went to scratch the top of it and felt something "What the bloody devil?" he asked as Merla's face was in front of his eyes
"Caw!"
"Blasted bird! How do you even get down here?!" Alfred shouted as Merla started to fly around his head.
With Lynn:
Lynn was walking through the building she had last met Luan at. She looked around as she passed by boxes and broken toys. As she walked by a giant clown head, she didn't see the shadowy figure in one of its eyes. Lynn kept on walking when she felt something was off and turned around to see... nothing. Glaring, she continued walking as she looked to her right and saw a shadow starting to appear behind hers. She rolled into an opening as Luan was behind her with her weapon at the ready. Luan aimed down the sights as she saw that Lynn wasn't there. But before she could say a thing, Lynn came down from the ceiling and kicked her in the face hard enough to send her flying into a bunch of boxes. Lynn looked at Luan as the ladder grabbed something and held it in the air "You're not talkative tonight, are you, Luan?" Lynn asked as the object Luan held suddenly became a pogo stick. Luan started to bounce around, creating dust clouds as Lynn tried to grab her. Luan bounced over Lynn as she made her way around the building. Lynn gritted her teeth as Luan laughed a manic cackle. Lynn then saw that Luan was escaping toward the exit as she pulled out several Batarangs and threw them at the shelf over the exit. When the Batarangs hit the shelf, it collapsed and covered the exit. Luan bounced off the wall as she went back to Lynn and almost hit her when she landed. But Lynn rolled out of the way as she ran away from Luan, who was starting to make the ground crack whenever she bounced off it. Climbing up a wall of crates, Lynn hopped up to the last crate as Luan was using the pogo stick to bounce off the sides toward her, making the boxes unstable. Leaping off the tower of crates, Luan followed her as the tower collapsed behind them. Lynn rolled onto the ground to soften her fall as Luan got off her pogo stick and aimed it at Lynn. The pogo stick then started to glow and a yellow ball formed at the end of it and was aimed directly at Lynn "HAHAHAHAHA!"
