What did this story teach you?: We need to make the abuse and abandonment known to others around us to stop it.

Which pets do you have and something special about them?: I have 2 dogs, 1 cat and 12 chickens.

I have a five year old Chihuahua named phoebe. She loves walks and is mostly a lap dog. I have a six month old German shepherd puppy, name Victor. I take him to dog agility classes and to obedience classes. I am going to start taking him to protection classes soon. I have a black cat named Sheba and she is really beautiful. She came through our doggy door in April and we have kept her ever since. Now about my 12 chickens, 1 serema, 1 Rhode Island Red, 1 mixbreed hen. One of my Silkies is a white on sitting on eggs. There were 2 eggs, but one disappeared. My other Silkies is a Buff Roster, the husband of the white one and I got them a shelter. My UPS guy and I are friends. He knows how I have chickens, and he has them when he was a kid. His girlfriend works at an animal shelter. Well, there is also another Buff Silkie Rooster and as nobody wanted him, we took him. I show and breed my chickens, if anyone has any questions about my chickens. I am happy to answer.

What did this story teach you?: They have feelings and affection as we do, at least we should try to understand them as much as possible, since they cannot talk and are vulnerable.

 Which pets do you have and something special about them?:  I have a cat and 2 dogs (one is fully black with silky hair and the other is fully brunette in color). When I am happy or sad, they try to cheer me up depending on my mood. Seems like they understand my situation :D
