*3 months later

S.T.A.R. Labs

Lydia walked into STAR labs only to met with Lady Gaga's Poker Face playing through the speakers. "What are you doing?" she asked the long hair guy who was towering over Barry's bed.

Surprised by her presence, he shrieked, turning towards her. "Who are you? And how did you get in here, this is a secured lab?"

"I'm Lydia, a friend of Iris. She couldn't make it today, so she asked me if I could check on Barry. And you should probably get better security, I walked through the door."

"Well thank you for scaring me to death, but nothing has changed. He's still in a coma."

"Why song?"

"He likes this song."

"And How could you possibly know that?" A girl with beautiful brown eyes said while walking in.

Turing to Lydia she smiled, "Caitlin Snow, kinda of a "doctor," but technically I'm a bio-engineer. And that this Cisco." she said pointing for the long haired guy.

"I know he likes the song because I checked his Facebook page. I mean, he can hear everything, right?" Cisco said as if it were normal to internet stalk someone.

Caitlin turned back to him, "Audi..." But Lydia beat her to the punch, "Auditory functions are the last sensory faculties to degenerate."

They both looked at her in surprise.

"What?" she asked, but the pair but they shook their heads.

Caitlyn looked towards Barry to see if any changes would happen, whereas Cisco kept singing, "Can't read my No he can't read my poker face..." Seeing no changes Cisco turned to the computer monitors.

Lydia walked towards Barry's bed, she could feel a slight tingling sensation running through her body. But before she could even think about the odd sensation Barry stood up gasping for air. Lydia looked at the once comatose boy in surprise.

"Oh, my God!" Cisco cried in surprise.

"He's up!" Caitlin says and goes straight away to taking his vitals.

"170 over 110. Pulse 120. Pupils equally reactive to light. Look at me. Look at me." she said while shining a light in his face.

"Doctor Wells, get down to the cortex, like right now!" Cisco says in panic.

Barry looks around dazed and confused, "Where am I?" he asked.

"Hey hey. Oh, oh, relax. Everything's ok, man. You're at Star Labs." Cisco says trying to calm him down.

Barry still confused says, "Star Labs? Who are you?"

"I'm Cisco Ramon. She's Caitlin..I mean... Doctor Snow. And her name is Lydia, don't know her last name"

Caitlyn completely serious says Barry, "I need you to urinate in this." while handing him a cup

Cisco looked at Caitlyn as if she were crazy, "Not this second."

Lydia on the other hand found the whole entire situation amusing.

"What, what is happening? What is going on?" Barry asked

"You were struck by lightning, dude." Cisco responded as if it were an easy thing to drop on someone.

Barry walks towards a nearby monitor, "Wh..... Lightning gave me abs?" he says in complete disbelief.

Caitlin touches Barry's muscles in awe, "Your muscles should be atrophied, but instead they're in a chronic and unexplained state of cellular regeneration."

Cisco grabs Barry by the shoulders, "Come here, have a seat. You were in a coma."

"For how long?"

"Nine months. Welcome back, Mister Allen. We have a lot to discuss." A man in wheelchair says. Lydia assumed it was Dr. Wells from what Iris has told her about him.

"I think I should call Iris and tell her to come down to Star Labs."

"That's probably a good idea" Cisco said while nodding in agreement

Lydia went to look inside her purse to for her phone but she heard Dr.Wells voice coming through the hallway.
'I wonder how Barry is handling everything,' Lydia wondered

".......Now, I'm not the most popular person in town these days but, Detective West and his daughter gave me permission to bring you here, where we were able to stabilize you."

"Iris?" Barry asked.

"Iris, yes. She came to see you quite often."

"She talks a lot." Caitlyn said while walking in with drinks.

"Also, she's hot." Cisco added. Of course Cisco found her hot, anyone with two eyes could see that she was beautiful.

"I need to go." Barry said urgently.

"No, you can't." Caitlyn said in an attempt to stop him.

Dr.Wells attempted to sway Barry to stay, "No, no, no, Caitlin's right, now that you're awake; we need to do more tests. You're still going through changes, there's so much that we don't know."

"I'm fine, really. I feel normal. Thank you for saving my life" Barry argued while walking out.

He peeks his head back in, "Can I keep the sweatshirt?" Barry asked hopeful.

"Yeah, keep the sweatshirt." Wells told him

"Ok" Barry said while walking out.

Lydia looked at the three, "I better go after him before he give Iris a heart attack"

Lydia runs after to him to catch up. "Hey!" she said at him. But he didn't stop. "Barry!" she yelled this time time

He turned around to look at her, "Look I said I'm fine. You can tell Dr. Wells in grateful for all he's done but I'm fine"

"I don't work for STAR labs" she said trying to catch her breath. "I'm so out of shape"

Barry shook his head, "Then what were you doing there?"

"Iris asked me to check up on you. Although when I agreed to, I didn't think you'd wake up."

"How do you know Iris?"

"I work with her at Jitters"

"Okay well I have to go see her." Barry attempted to walk but Lydia grabbed him.

"So you just plan to go up and say 'Hey Iris just woke up from a coma' "

"Yes that's exactly what I plan to do."

"Fine. At least let me come with you."

"I have a feeling even if I said no you would still come."

"You're not wrong."

JITTERS

Lydia walks in and makes eye contact with Iris but quickly her eyes land on Barry.

Iris, completely surprised attacks Barry with a hug, "Oh my God! You're awake! Why didn't Star Labs call us?"

"I just woke up." Barry said while enjoying her embrace.

Iris looked at him worriedly and looked at Lydia, "Should he even be on your feet?"

"Iris, I'm I'm ok."

"Actually he bolted out of Star Labs before they could test it he's okay." Lydia said, making Barry glare at her.

"Iris I feel fine" Barry tried to reassure her but it only made her more anxious.

"I watched you die, Barry. You kept dying and your heart kept stopping." Iris said in a heartbroken voice.

Barry held her hand and placed it on her his heart, "Still beating." Lydia would be lying if she said the whole entire moment wasn't touching.

Iris looked at Barry in awe, "It's beating really fast."

The heartfelt reunion was quickly ruined by a waitress behind them tripping and breaking some plates. Taking Barry and Iris out of their own little world.

"Are you ok, Tracy?" Iris asked

"Yeah, I got it." Tracy said embarrassed.

Lydia however kept her eyes trained on Barry. Something happened to make his entire composure shift. Lydia couldn't figure out what, only a minute had passed and his mood changed.

"My dad is gonna be so happy to see you. Let me get my stuff, ok? I'll be right back." Iris was so excited to tell her father, she didn't even notice Barry's mood shift or maybe being around werewolves, and other supernatural beings made Lydia senses more aware.

Lydia turned to Barry, "are you okay"

He looked at her and gave a weak smile, "yeah why wouldn't I be."
