Tess's p.o.v.

My dad was cool about the Zero thing and began inviting Zero on wolf hunts with him saying if he was gonna run with me he needed to learn how to hunt werewolves in addition to vampires for his safety.

I was running errands today as I stopped by the fountain to have a chat with Yori and deliver a note from Hanabusa for her. Awe young love. Some of the guys were playing around and I could feel Seth's lustful gaze on me. I keep my focus on Yori though as she tells me about the ice cream place she goes to with Aido all the time. When before I can react one of the boys knocks into me knocking me into the water.

Dang there goes another cell phone. Yori gasps because I'm wearing the white blouse of the uniform and I see Seth smirking as he was the one to knock me in, although the other day class boys with him run leaving him on his own as a familiar hand is held out to me.

"Tess are you ok.", says Zero helping me out before blushing himself before taking his jacket off to put over me to cover up my now see through blouse. He gives Seth a glare like he'd like to rip him apart.

"Yea I'm ok I just need to get into some dry clothes.", I say as he escorts me back to the house to change clothes. I look outside wondering if Seth is gonna make his move. The full moon is when wolves are strongest. It also carries an added danger to humans as non alpha's can change them on that night.

The full moon would be here in a week or two.

I head out of my room and grab my bag and the sim card from my now destroyed phone and leave a note for my uncle that I'm heading out to get a replacement phone cause mine is destroyed.

I head out of my room and see Zero in the kitchen drinking a glass of water.

"Have fun in class I'm heading to my dad's to see about a replacement cell phone.", I say as I head for the door. "Wait your dad wanted me to come by too, says I need to learn about werewolf breeds.", he says.

If only Zero knew, my dad is teaching Zero what he can now so if Zero does become my mate like he should, he'll be ready to function as a wolf hunter and possibly as a wolf.

He follows me out to my truck still in his uniform while I'm now in jeans and a grey t-shirt with a light jacket. He opens my door and I hop in as he goes around and hops in the other side. My truck roars to life as we take a ride out towards the country side where my dad has a place with a bit of land.

Zero has his hand across the back of the seat relaxed as Bonjovi's "It's My Life" Plays, and I sing along out of habit.

When the song ends he's looking at me now used to my car stereo antics. Shoot he's used to catching me singing sometimes when I'm cleaning at the house.

When we arrive my dad pulls Zero off elsewhere while my mom drags me back to town to since I need a new phone. We arrive at the shop and after a little while I have my new phone programmed and all my back up info reloaded into it.

My mom is now dragging me around from shop to shop. We're now at lunch laughing about my uncle's bad cooking attempts. "So sweetie how's Zero.", she asks. "He's really good mom.", I say smiling as I smell Seth enter the café before he takes a seat and I can feel him watching me. We finish up and leave and I feel us being followed and smell Seth. "Mom do you sense them?", I ask. "Yes I do Tess.", she says as I grab her hand and pull her with me back to my truck. I throw our bags in the back as she gets in with my keys I throw her and starts it up.

She starts it up as I hop in and charges down the road. When suddenly something smacks into the vehicle as I look over to see containing Seth and a pair of vamps. Seth jumps off the vehicle onto our truck as I nod to my mom.

"Try and keep the truck steady mom, I'll knock off this loser.", I say unbuckling as Seth headed toward the back window while I knock off the sunroof. "If I fall off keep driving I'll catch up.", I shout as I climb out the top and jump onto Seth knocking him flat on the truck bed.

"Hey babe", he says before he reacts when I punch him in the face. My mother has the windows open on the side and is now firing the pistol under the seat at the persuing vampires. I hand spring up still maintaining my balance on the speeding truck as Seth grabs me knocking me off with him as we roll off the truck and down a hill towards a ravine. I manage to regain my footing thankfully a little quicker than Seth while one of the vampires jumps out of there vehicle heading my way as the van pursues my speeding mother. I sure hope she gets away safe or at least to dad.

Right now I've got my own problems as the two approach me. Seth charges at the same time as the vampire and I drop using Seth's weight to use him as a projectile against the vampire.

The Vampire cusses , and by his smell he's only a C-level vamp.

Seth on the other hand is a born werewolf but he's not an Alpha, but he's about to learn his place.

Seth shifts to his wolf form as he charges me again and I drop again this time drawing my mangi sigh and stabbing it under his ribs making him yelp as I finish the throw sending him a few feet away from me.

The vampire takes his sword and comes at me as I block with my sigh's causing him to drop his sword as well, before I back it up with a spin kick to his head knocking him down.

"You're a feisty thing our masters gonna enjoy making you obey.", says the vampire holding his bleeding face as Seth charges me again only for me to run up the tree and flip behind him, followed by a harder kick knocking him down.

The vampire grabs his weapon and charges again as I drop using my sighs to redirect his blow so its into the tree while I knee him in the groin before a pair of arms appear around me and pulls me back and immediately I recognize the odor as the vampire that attacked Juri, just before he places something over my mouth making the world go black.

Zero's p.o.v.

I was in Kane Silvermoon's study as we discussed wolf breeds and things like that. "Now Zero any wolf can change a human into a werewolf as long as it's a full moon.", he says. "Now in the case of a level-e a bond with the wolf changing them is required to keep them sane or they can go on a rampage or worse sometimes a vampire will try to force the bond on them to control them like a puppet and sadly some lesser wolfs will use a new changeling as well using the bond as a yoke.", he says sitting at his desk across from me as I look over the tablet he hands me.

"So it's like a vampires bond.", I ask looking over things. "Wait this type here says it can't be bonded.", I say finding a listing of a breed called an Alpha.

"Alpha's are rarer than most wolves, vampires have been trying to get them breed out or killed off for a long time so most are in hiding.", he replies. "But Zero an Alpha has the strongest bite, they don't have to wait till a full moon to change a human. And yes they can blood bond but they can only share it with there mates due to only being able to bond once there also the most likely breed to pair with humans."

"Also the vampires don't like Alpha's do to the ability to remove their blood bonds.", he says.

I hear Tess's truck come speeding into the drive way as we talk.

The door to the office flies open as an upset Sarah runs into Kane's office. "Where's Tess?", he says looking at her. "She fell off the truck.", she says as I jump up. "How does she fall off the truck where is she?", I ask jumping up as Sarah runs to Kane.

"We were in the village and realized we were being stalked, we got in the truck and on the way back a werewolf jumped on the back of the truck from a van being driven by vampires. The wolf knocked her off the truck and down a high hill. I still had the vampires in the van. After I finished them I went back to where Tess fell, and she was gone but there was a strong pureblood prescence.", she says crying as Kane holds her.

Sarah takes us to the last place Tess was seen and I smell lots of blood, and some of it is that pervert Seth's . "Seth I recognize his scent anywhere, if he hurt her I'll kill him.", I say as Kane walks around and seems to still be collected. "We should speak to Seth.", he says emotionless.

We hurry back to the academy to inform the headmaster of her disappearance. Me and Kane then search the school for Seth. "When I return to the office after no luck I spot Kane with Seth seated on the seat with a black eye. "It looks like Seth sold Tess out to the pureblood for money, he's no puppet.", states Kane staring Seth down as Seth cowers at the glare. "And worse the pureblood didn't tell him where he was taking her. " says Kane.

Later I'm sitting in Tess's room full of her scent as I try to think of how to find her, where is she? I wonder as I fall back onto her bed landing onto a notebook. I flip it open as I look through it, she's been drawing me a lot lately . I flip through and wonder why wolves are mixed into them, and am surprised to see one of me as a child. She's got a pretty good imagination if she did that when I don't have any of those photos of then.

The hunt is on for Tess and Kane decided to use networks of werewolf hunters. I enter the office and look form Kane to the headmaster, and Toga a few days later. "Sorry Zero still no sign, and I've got wolves combing.", says Kane. "What about the hunter's association?", asked Kaien. "I can't trust them to look, the last time Tess disappeared they did nothing, and this time there saying she's expendable."says Kane coolly.

"Zero you should sleep, your no good to Tess like that.", says Toga as Kane studies me.

It does me no good worrying about Tess, makes it hard to sleep and when I do it's nightmares about Tess.

"Sleep, you need a clear head.", Kane says with a firm look.
