"I don't have the time to add a third WIP to my schedule." At least that was what I'd said when talk of the ONC began percolating.

     Then I saw the prompts...

     And here we are.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to narrow down the selection that was so beautifully offered as inspiration, so I challenged my good buddy @NDeMeer to let me pick her prompt, and she chooses mine. Not only did we giggle excitedly about the crazy idea, but we decided to use more than one prompt. We also managed to wrangle @Jay-Elizabeth into the fun as well, and she let us pick what she is writing about.

     These are the prompts.

#57. Everyone on Earth with any form of electronic devices receives a message that is playing on a loop. The message reads, "We know you are hiding here." No one knows what it means. Except you.

#68. You meet someone who seems to be perfect for you, but after digging into their past, it turns out a string of crimes has been following them. None of those crimes have officially been solved.

#60. "The next words out of your mouth better be 'I'm sorry' and 'Here's the antidote.'"

They are a combo of mystery-thriller and romance prompts. Sci-fi is the main genre with romance and mystery added into the mix.

In the future, humanity will travel to different stars and populate new planets. In doing so, we will come across other species; humanoid, reptilian, greys, or what-have-you. And we will breed.

I, myself, am an omnisexual that firmly believes love and attraction are not about looks or what's between one's legs, but their ears. Liri Delaney, my main character, is the same way. I hope to make my friends, family, and the LGBTQ+ community nod in agreement--or at least understand--while they read this story.

Endnote:

The Open Novella Contest has been one of the hardest and most satisfying journey's I've taken on Wattpad. I learned a BA-zillion new things and met hundreds of talented writers in the process.

I loved Liri and Ardon's journe—so far. There are future works in my head, and I look forward to seeing them come to life soon.

I would love to hear everyone's final thoughts on this story, as it will help me grow.

Lastly, I want to thank everyone who reads, comments, and votes. Those little bits of kindness went a long way to keeping me focused and smiling as I worked away.

Thank you!

~ Q
