Chapter Three
•Lust of Innocence•
Jungkook was rather quick to fill up and bring the refreshments to the table, almost dropping them because of the unbalanced weight on his arms. He awkwardly grins, his pearl white teeth glistening under the flashing strobes and colorful neon lights. The smell of weed was strong along with tropical scents due to the strains having been laced with them. Chae-Rin yelled out a cheerful "Thanks CockJohn!" before snatching one of the beers from the tray, her smile widening as she chugs it down mercilessly.
Jungkook was way too nervous to speak to any of the drunk ladies and trusted Nari the most despite his tendency to avoid speaking to girls. He was extremely shy, so he was still building up the courage to lean over and ask if there was anything else they needed. Nari peered over at the water that was set along with the alcohol, even if she didn't ask for it in the first place, she was relieved. "We're good! Thanks again," and patted his shoulder for reassurance. This time he didn't flinch, but stuttered out an "okay" and walked off.
"You need to check out the guys here!" one of the bridesmaids said to the girls, mostly referring to all of them except the bride-to-be. Chae-Rin didn't ignore the comment, though. Innocently, she just glanced around and shrugged, "My fiancé is hotter than these druggies." She was about to take another sip until she remembered something. She sat straightly in her seat, eyes glimmering as much as the shiny tiara on her head. She smirks at her line of companions, "But I do know someone who is hella sexy for you guys to scope out!"
Before they could all ask whom this mysterious person was, the lights suddenly went out and only the following blue outlines of the interior designs glowed in the dark. The speakers cracked and soon the lights shifted towards the DJ set. The familiar man standing behind it smiled and rose his hands in the air. The people went silent as he held the mic to his lips. The smoke fading off into the air and all eyes on him. "Good evening guests! It's your hope and joy, J-Hope! As always! Are y'all having a good time tonight?!" Earning many cheers blaring from the crowd. He nods slowly, a smirk familiar to Chae-Rin's from earlier is plastered onto his expression. "Glad to hear!"
He continues on, playing some low music and making it soft at first, "We've got a couple of princesses out there waiting for their lucky man to slap a pretty ring on their fingers, so let's do the special honors and give them their last free night to explore as much as possible before it ends. Clap your hands for Jin and Jimin! The party animals are unleashed and are ready for your bite!" he winks.
Nari's face twists as she takes in the last unnecessary comment from J-Hope. She rose a brow at him and his playful teasing towards the guests, but she was surprised at how the crowd reacted so wildly and positive. Guess these people are really into it... She thought. I wonder if they're into the sea life kinks too...
Her curiosity was crushed when the music starts to ring in her ears so loudly that she pressed her ears into her shoulders for a moment. The bridesmaids beside her screamed when the two men arose onto their stages. Across the room was a stripper that Nari had not seen, but could barely think about his presence when Jimin smoothly strutted over and up close to the girls. He shows no smile, unlike Jin over on the other side whom was already beginning to please the other reserved party. His orange hair was not slicked back this time, but now loose and combed regularly. He bites his lip and narrows his dark eyes down at Chae-Rin, visible enough to make the women around scream. Nari jolted in her seat from all the hyena sounds pounding in her ears, completely surprised at how one little move can swoon them. She inwardly shrugged, It's his job to make women wet, don't be an idiot. She thought.
Jimin suddenly jumped down from the stage, lifting his black tang-top just slightly enough to show off his perfectly toned v-line. Flexing his arms and leaning so close to Chae-Rin, Nari could've sworn she heard the girls gulping in their seats. The addictive smiling from all of them and blushing cheeks were natural to have when some unbelievably hot stripper was stroking and teasing the girl's hair, running his fingers through her curly locks. He was quick to slide off his shirt and was showered with cheers in response to his actions. And this was only the beginning.
Without any hesitation, he slid the glasses of alcohol aside on the table and rolled over it, now completely sitting on Chae-Rin's lap and grinding on her legs slowly to the beats of the song. His waist was straddling and rubbing her while he held onto the seat cushions to get closer if that was even possible. The dark-haired girl was not scared to dangerously run her fingers over his abs, both excited and embarrassed when her friends laughed and took millions of pictures. Nari covered her mouth with her hands as she was witnessing the heated moment, a weird feeling burning in her chest as she kept her eyes glued on what was happening. She was uncomfortable that her friends were acting reckless, but feeling some mixed emotions while watching them having a good time. If she wasn't so skeptical about the entertainment business, she would have enjoyed making fun of Chae-Rin squealing and blushing, but refrained.
The sexy man takes turns with the ladies who begged to touch him, making sure that they didn't get too far. Phones were flashing at both men who were dancing, looking like the strobe lights were on a rampage. Nari realized that she was probably going to get a taste of having some random stripper on her lap, so she stood up quickly before he could get to her. The girls furrowed their brows at her as she began to fiddle with her water bottle. Jimin approached her, the shirtless man tilting his head and reaching out to take her hand.
Chae-Rin practically lost herself and was joyfully applauding the scene that was all too quickly happening for her friend. The bridesmaids joined in and cheered on Nari to let Jimin continue to please her. The brown-haired woman hushed her friends, squirming as the man twirled her around. She was having an inward panic-attack and silently begged so badly for him to not be so intimate with her like he had been with the others. He'd done nothing wrong to them, but Nari's comfort zone was bursted as soon as Jimin gently brushed her hair away from her cheeks. She didn't dare to look up at him and kept her head low.
"Yah! Don't be a wuss! I didn't raise you like that!" Chae-Rin exclaimed loudly and pointed at her maid-of-honor, the drunk state she was in had really messed up her mind. Usually she would tell people to be gentle around her best friend, but those multiple drinks spoke for her tonight.
Jimin had noticed how uncomfortable the young lady was in front of him, so he made sure not to go way past her limits which were much more closed off unlike the bridesmaids he was handling before her. He had to follow the rules no matter how much he was being cheered on to let Nari do his performance. Skillfully, he circled her and leaned in close to her ear as he stood behind the woman, running his hand sensually down her arm and laced it with her small fingers. Whispering, "I'll be gentle..." And spun her around to closely face him.
He teasingly pecked the back of her hand with his full red lips, bowing down before her like a gentleman as his shoulder-muscles tightened purposely for the view. He went off onto the stage to continue spinning on the pole; distracting the other girls' attention from what just happened, Nari dropped her water bottle to the ground. She stood there completely stunned and unable to move. She wasn't sure if she should be ashamed of herself for not running away and avoiding the entertainer, but was just lost.
Jungkook soon waddled over with his towel and cleaned up the empty drinks, also making sure to pick up the one Nari dropped.
He smiles awkwardly again before them, thinking that they were paying attention to him and not the shirtless Jimin grinding roughly on the pole, so he struggled to speak out to ask if they needed more alcohol. When no one replied, he reminded himself that he brought an extra iced-water for Nari and hesitantly waved at her to snap her out of her mixed thoughts. She blinks at him as he shakily hands her the brand new beverage. "I k-kinda got this for you..."
She inhales deeply, coughing a little as the weed's strong scents clogged her throat for a moment. While money was being tossed everywhere from both parties, she bowed her head at the waiter, "Thank you," looking around the area and back to her drunk friends. She paused before glancing back at Jungkook, "Where are your restrooms?"
...
By the time Jimin's performance was over, Nari returned from her relatively long restroom session, intentionally staying longer to avoid the orange-haired stripper and pushing away the image of how he delicately touched her. Usually women in her situation would be on their knees in awe, but for her, well. . . she didn't know how to think about the whole ordeal. When she returned to the party area, the girls had a few more drinks and giggled, their hyena sounds nearly blocking the loud music that blared throughout the club. As the night went on, people left one by one and soon, the bridesmaids all parted ways, leaving Nari and Chae-Rin at the booth by themselves while the employees were cleaning up, internally hoping the two would take their leave so they could go home.
Chae-Rin reached well over her limit, so drunk that her words were difficult to decipher. Her tiara was hanging from the side of her head and her hair was messy, almost as if she had bed head. She giggled uncontrollably and hiccupped, shouting for the younger waiter obnoxiously, "John Cook~ another," she hiccupped again, "drink please."
Nari's eyes widened as the nervous waiter approached the two girls. He tugged at the collar of his shirt awkwardly, not knowing how to respond to the intoxicated customer's demand. Nari noticed he was in shambles at what to say, so she awkwardly smiled at him and said, "She will not be having another drink," she glared at her friend as Chae-Rin pouted like a lost puppy and she turned to look back at Jungkook, "Thank you for your service though, I greatly appreciate your tolerance for the party."
He slightly bowed his head and replied with a hint of shyness still lingering in his tone, "I-It was my pleasure." Nari chuckled and reached into her purse, taking out her wallet and handing him a small bundle of cash. He eyed the money that was between her fingers, before hesitantly taking it.
"Are you sure?" Jungkook asked as he counted the money slowly, shocked at the significantly high amount Nari gave him. She chuckled at his reluctance to accept the tip and reassured him, "Absolutely."
Again, he bowed his head and bid her a good night before leaving the two girls. Nari glared at her friend again as Chae-Rin began talking gibberish that she couldn't understand. Heaving out a long sigh at her friend, she grabbed the engaged woman's arm, pulling her up from the booth and muttering, "Let's go."
Chae-Rin whined loudly as she stumbled in Nari's grip, "Carry me~" the brown-headed woman grit her teeth and harshly replied, "I'm not carrying you." She placed the drunk woman's arm around her shoulders, holding her roughly by the waist, trying to help her walk. Never in Nari's life had she been in the company of someone so wasted. Chae-Rin could only be described as a messed up rag doll at this point. As they exited the club, Chae-Rin's steps were wobbly and she kept shouting dirty remarks about the performance the two witnessed together, the strong scent of alcohol from her breath nearly made Nari's eyes water.
"I'm telling you," Chae-Rin slurred, biting her lower lip and giggling, "If I weren't engaged right now, I would totally go for Jimmy." Nari's eyebrow twitched at the name, especially considering her friend said his name wrong.
"He's so. . . damn hot." the dark-haired woman's voice got lower and lower and Nari could feel her go limp in her arms. The weight of her friend made her nearly fall, as she held onto her desperately and looked around the parking lot with a vulnerable expression.
It was well past midnight and the parking lot of the club was completely empty of any presence, other than a couple cars that were probably owned by the employees of the club. The air was chilly, a small gust of wind giving her goosebumps. There were empty beer bottles and used blunts and cigarettes scattered along the black top of the area. Mumbling a few curses, Nari looked towards her car and placed her hands under Chae-Rin's arms, attempting to drag her unconscious friend, but harshly struggling.
Nari was nearly out of breath when she exclaimed, "What have you eaten lately to become this heavy?"
. . .
The orange-haired stripper pulled his grey sweatshirt over his head and closed his locker, sighing while doing so. He was so delighted that the long night was over, wondering how he put on such a perfect façade when performing. He picked up his bag and swung it across his shoulder, exiting the dressing room. Before he could make his way to the exit of the club, he spotted his friend, the pink-headed bartender.
"There he is," Namjoon started, giving him a handshake before slapping him on his back playfully, "That was quite a show you put on, however, there was a flaw in your performance," Jimin gave him a confused look, his eyebrows slightly furrowed as Namjoon stated in disappointment, "You made that beautiful girl uncomfortable. If I were in your place, I would've done a lot better and made her feel like the special girl she is."
Jimin rolled his eyes at his friend's weird fantasy and shrugged, "I was aware. Don't worry, I went easy on her." Before Namjoon could even open his mouth to reply, their boss approached them and they immediately perked up in respect.
Their boss had a cheeky grin as his raspy voice exclaimed, "You, my boy, are something else," he let out a hoarse laugh as he placed a hand on Jimin's shoulder and handed him an envelope, "This should cover that rent of yours."
An accomplished smile plastered on the stripper's face as he grabbed the envelope anxiously, slightly opening it and looking at its contents. The amount nearly made him shout in joy, but he kept his cool, saying, "Thank you, sir."
"I tell you what," the older man started, staring Jimin intently in the eyes, "Keep putting on those magical performances of yours and there'll be a lot more rewards like that waiting for you." Jimin pursed his lips together at the thought of it, but nonetheless bowed his head politely.
Once Jimin's boss left, he bid a farewell to Namjoon, shaking his hand again and smiling at his friend. He took out his keys, anticipating going home and sleeping off the events of the night. Exiting the club, he looked down at his phone for a moment to check the time, standing outside the door near the parking lot. The chilly gust of wind hit him and his head whipped up at an exasperated voice. He squinted his eyes suspiciously as he stared at the scene before him. A girl had a twisted expression as she desperately tried dragging her passed out friend through the parking lot, not achieving much. Jimin immediately recognized the girl, who was unconscious, for he remembered her face from when he was entertaining her. He also took notice of the struggling girl, realizing she was the one Namjoon referred to as "beautiful."
Dropping his bag down on the ground in a neglecting manner, he jogged over to the two women. It was second nature for him to help anyone who needed it, for it was simply apart of his personality. As he neared the two, he shouted, "Need help?"
Nari looked up from helplessly dragging her friend and her eyes widened once she saw the man nearing her. She was speechless as she watched the stripper come closer. He stopped once he reached them and narrowed his eyes at Chae-Rin, then looking at the woman who stared at him, obviously struggling to speak. His orange hair was slightly messy from the night's performance and a little eye make-up still left, subtly enhancing his features and making his eyes appear sharper than usual.
Seeing that she wouldn't answer him, he bent down, draping Chae-Rin's other arm across his shoulders and placing one arm under her knees and the other on her back, picking her up bridal-style. Oblivious to what was happening because she was basically half dead, Chae-Rin's mouth was hung open in an unappealing manner.
Jimin then looked back at Nari, eyeing her before saying, "Lead the way." She awkwardly cleared her throat and listened to him, guiding him to her car. Jimin watched her back, remembering his actions towards her from earlier and her uncomfortable and shocked reaction towards it. A feeling of guilt washed over him, but he tried to shrug it off.
Once they reached the vehicle, Jimin waited for her to unlock the car and after she did, Nari opened the passenger door, allowing the man to take charge from there. He gently placed Chae-Rin in the passenger seat and was sure to position her comfortably in the seat before buckling the seatbelt around her body to secure her. Nari was in awe at his gentle and nurturing charisma that radiated from him. She didn't think someone like him could possibly be like this.
Once he took half of his body out of the car, she closed the door. Jimin looked down at the brown-headed girl and she avoided his gaze as she looked anywhere but at him and muttered, "Uhh, thanks for that."
He chuckled at her awkward nature and said, "It seems like she had fun." Nari looked up at him and nearly laughed when she said, "A little too much fun."
The orange-haired stripper let out a small laugh and held out his hand politely. Her dark eyes narrowed at it, contemplating whether or not she should shake hands with a stripper. He anxiously stared at her, urging her to. Slowly and with much reluctance, she placed her hand loosely in his relatively small and rough one, giving it a light shake.
"Park Jimin," he happily introduced himself, maintaining a gentle smile and his eyes squinting a bit, resembling half-moons. Nari let go of his grip and cleared her throat, mumbling, "I know who you are." The girl almost blushed remembering his steamy performance that left his name embedded in everyone's mind.
An eerie silence emphasized the awkward atmosphere between the two and he unintentionally licked his lips as he said, "And you are. . .?" Her eyes widened in surprise, wanting to face palm herself in embarrassment.
"Uh," she chuckled awkwardly, "Right, I'm Nari," her voice trailed, not knowing what to say next. He took notice of her fingers fidgeting as she gulped. His expression changed to that of knowing, because he understood that she was nervous around someone like him, especially after all that had happened.
"Hey," he softly started, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand, "I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable tonight. I was just doing my job, ya know?" Nari gaped at him for a moment, completely and utterly baffled by the sudden apology. How could a man who gets paid to take off his clothes and turn on women possibly be sorry for his actions?
She sheepishly chuckled and tried to reassure him, "D-Don't be, I understand." Jimin sighed, looking down at the ground and kicking a rock when replying, "It really wasn't my intention." Was she hearing correctly? Did he actually feel bad?
Despite how she feels about his occupation, she smiled softly at him and placed a hand on his broad shoulder. He looked down at her dumbfounded as she said, "Really, it's okay," remembering she had to take Chae-Rin home, Nari took her hand off his shoulder and breathlessly noted, "I really have to get this mess of a woman home," she lightly laughed at her own comment.
Jimin sheepishly chuckled and nodded his head, offering another one of his cheeky smiles, "Right, right." The brown-haired woman walked towards the driver's side and with his eyes watching her every move, she opened the door, but stopped when she heard the attractive man lowly say, "Drive safe."
Nari stared at him for a moment, before nodding her head and entering her car, butterflies slightly fluttering in her stomach from his sudden comment. Once she shut the door and started the engine, Jimin moved back and placed his hands in the pockets of his sweatshirt. He watched as she backed up her car, then drove towards the corner, making a right turn and disappearing from his field of vision. A small smile tugged at his lips as he internally admitted for the first time that Namjoon was right.
