Oh.

Addison remained frozen on his bed waiting for Oliver to come out. He didn't hear any signs of movement in the restroom but he saw scuffling from under the door.

It's been 5 minutes and he's still in there doing god knows what.

Addison laid down and started going over everything that happened before his...breakdown?

First, he arrived at his house. He looked a little tense but Addison just assumed it was pent-up sexual frustration. He was the one who made a move right? He told him that it was okay. Addison's eyes widened. What if he didn't want to do anything and I forced him to?

No that's not right I asked for consent...Right?

The sound of his phone buzzing got him out of his head.

User789o0: Are you busy? I need to talk if you're not. It's okay if you're busy though I'll be fine.

No, I'm not what's going on??

User789o0: The party and my dad

What happened?

User789o0: Everything was going well. My dad had a few drinks but he wasn't acting in any kind of way. But I opened my big ass mouth and tried to warn him of how much he was drinking and he blew up out of nowhere. He started yelling at me and throwing things at the guest. It all just went to shit. You should have seen my little brother's face. He was so hurt and this was such an important day for him. But I ruined it. I shouldn't have said anything.

It's not your fault. If he reacted that way because of one warning then it was bound to happen just at a different time. Don't blame yourself. And as for your brother you've told me about him. He loves you and he knows that it wasn't your fault. Just let things cool down and breathe. Stop blaming yourself.

User789o0: I just wanted this day to go well for him. Now his day is ruined and I feel so guilty. I'm trying to distract myself but I can't get his face out of my head. He looked so disappointed.

Right now all you can do is try. You're his big brother who cares about him and the way you explained things to me you put a lot of work into making this day special. If I can tell from a few text messages, trust me he knows and he's grateful.

User789o0: Thank you. I should go I'll text you later.

Ok bye

Addison set his phone back down on his mattress and faced the bathroom. Oliver wasn't moving anymore.

He walked slowly to the door and knocked, "Oliver are you okay?"

He heard sniffling and then the water run before the boy spoke, "Yeah I'm okay. I'll be out in a second I'm sorry."

"It's fine. Take as much time as you need."

He nodded to himself and walked back to his bed.

5 more minutes passed and he still wasn't coming out. Addison was beginning to get bored. He grabbed his computer and turned on Netflix.

Finally, the door cracked open and Oliver walked out. His face was red, along with his eyes. It was evident that he had been crying, but Addison didn't have to see his face to know that.

"Hey, are you okay?"

"I'm fine." He stood next to the door with his phone in hand rocking back and forth awkwardly. "This may be overstepping because you only wanted me over for sex, and that's obviously not happening. But I really don't want to go home right now, so I was wondering if I could stay for a little while longer. I'll be gone before your parents get home I swear."

He's not wrong, Addison did only want him there for sex. But the guy seemed a little desperate, and there's evidently something going on. The least he could do was let him sit down on his bed for a few hours.

"Yeah sure. You can just come and sit or whatever. Or you can stand I don't care."

Oliver drew his lips into a tight smile. "Thank you." He sat on the edge of his bed and looked around Addison's room. "I never noticed how nice your room was."

Addison followed his gaze and shrugged, "Just some "aesthetic" stuff you know we all went through that phase. I got more than half of this shit from Pinterest."

He nodded, "It's really nice." Oliver looked at him with a sincere smile that seemed to be contagious because Addison's lips soon followed suit.

"Thanks. I've never seen your room."

"Trust me you don't want to, it's nothing special."

Addison's never had many conversations with Oliver, not without making out in between. This felt weird, it was awkward.

"Did you hear about the fall festival?" Oliver spoke suddenly. "They said that because the cheer squad doesn't 'contribute to the school enough' they have to work with the football team to plan it."

Addison scowled, "I am not working with you, Beckett."

Oliver laughed, "And you're back."

"When was I gone?"

"When you were being awfully nice to me. And yes you are, working with us that is."

Addison turned back to his computer before sighing, "You can get more comfortable if you want."

Oliver's face lit up, he nodded, laid down on his bed, and snuggled into his covers. "Not that comfortable," Addison muttered.

"What are you watching?"

"Some gay shit."

"Sounds disgusting."

They spent 2 more hours watching Netflix and during those hours Addison must have forgotten who he was with. That's the only way to explain the content feelings he had about the boy that lay next to him.

The more time that passed, the more this whole "enemies" thing just didn't make sense.

IIIIIIIIIIIII

Hey, it's your unorganized author here. I literally have no schedule for this story. And that's only because all of these chapters have already been prewritten so I post them when I feel like it and then continue writing the ones I'm working on.

So while I'm writing the ones I'm on I'm thinking, "God I wonder what they feel about this" But you guys are still on chapter 8 so...

Ok, I'm gonna go get ready for hell--school. Sorry typo.

Love you guys<3
