There is no greater frustration than making plans only to regret them hours later.

After finding out about their college acceptance, Addison was a huge bundle of sunshine the rest of the day. That's why he decided that he would go to Brandon's end-of-year party. And he'd have the best time of his life.

Fast forward 2 hours after telling Eve and Eli...

"Addison get up." Oliver threw the covers off of the boy's body and sighed. "We're gonna be late."

"Go without me." He grumbled.

"No. You were the one that decided you wanted to go, so come on."

Addison finally sat up and glared, "I'm tired."

"And I'm tired of your attitude."

"And I'm tired of your attitude." Addison mocked under his breath, getting out of bed. "I don't know why I agreed to this in the first place."

"I don't know why you do most of the things you do." Oliver shrugged, "I'm just here to support your bad decisions."

"You were a bad decision," Addison muttered.

"I heard that."

Oliver was one of the best decisions he's ever made.

One thing about their relationship that he's grateful for, is the fact that things never chnaged between them. Usually, when it comes to couples, that title seems to alter their behavior.

Just because you're dating doesn't mean you have to be an overly nice softy all of the time. He and Oliver have never acted that way with each other.

Even in 4th grade, before they started "dating" they hated each other.

Well...Addison hated him. But that was only because Oliver told on him and got his clip moved down to yellow on the first week of school.

But, after Oliver begged him for forgiveness, and a spot next to him at lunch, everything was fine. Up until Valentines' day of course...

"What should I wear?" Addison questioned.

"Anything but what you wore to school today."

He frowned, "I thought you said I looked cute."

"It's my job to make you feel good, Addison. Of course, I said that."

After getting dressed, Addison plopped back down their bed, hoping that the night would pass quickly. He was about to get up to talk to Gabe, when Oliver walked out of the bathroom.

Dressed in practically the same thing as him

During a sudden exchange of glances, both said, "Change."

"I'm not changing, Oliver. You're changing."

"No. I like this outfit. You copied me."

"Out of everyone I could copy, why the hell would I copy you? Go back in there and change."

Addison could feel the humorous undertone of this whole conversation. Despite this, he still wasn't about to match with his boyfriend, and it took him way too long to pick out his outfit, so there was no way he would replace it.

As they stared at each other, their smiles grew, until Oliver rolled his eyes and walked towards his drawer to find another outfit.

"Thank you."

"Mhm."

...

They had ten minutes until they had to leave. Leaving ten minutes to talk to Gabe.

"Gabe." He peeked into the boy's room, frowing at his teary eyes, and quiet sniffs.

When Gabe realized that he wasn't alone, he swiftly wiped his tears and put on a fake smile, "Hey, I thought you were going out tonight."

"Gabe...what's wrong?"

The boy shook his head, "Nothing, I just yawned."

Addison walked over to the younger boy and cautiously sat down next to him on the edge of his bed. The closer he got, the more he saw utter distress on the boy's face.

That was the first and last time he'd seen the boy cry. He didn't know what to do, probably because he's never been the best at comforting people. "Do you want me to get Oliver?"

"No."

"Okay. Do you want to talk to me about it then?"

The boy wordlessly shrugged

"Is it about Autumn?"

He shook his head.

"Your dad?"

Addison sighed when the boy shook his head yet again.

"Oliver?"

This time, Gabe faced him and frowned, "You guys are leaving."

"That's what's wrong?"

He nodded, "Oliver told me you two got into college, and that means you guys are gonna leave soon. That means that I'll be here all alone, and I don't want to be alone."

"Oh..."

Oh?! That's all you could say?!

"I sound selfish. I'm sorry I know how much you guys wanted to get in. I guess I never really thought about how much it would affect me until it actually happened."

"You're not being selfish, Gabe. I understand what you're saying."

"I love your parents and all but...you and Oliver are like my best friends. Now you're gonna be hours away living your best lives."

"We'll always visit-"

"-I don't want you to visit. I want you guys to stay here." He said softly. "I'm really gonna miss you."

"I'm gonna miss you too." Addison gave him a reassuring smile and opened his arms, giving him a signal that they were supposed to hug.

Gabe grimaced, but neverless gave in and allowed Addison's arms to wrap around him as he sniffled into the boy's shirt.

They broke apart, scowls on their faces.

"Let's not do that again, okay?"

Gabe nodded, "I think that's for the best."

After a few moments of silence, Gabe spoke again, "Aren't you a little scared?"

"What do you mean?"

"Your leaving, Addison. Things are going to change."

"I'm aware."

He's sure Gabe didn't mean to do it, but he was gradually setting the little part of his brain that he tried so hard to control, haywire.

The part of his brain that used to tell him he wouldn't get into college, and the part that told him he'd never be enough for Oliver, was now actively telling him that he wasn't ready.

"I didn't mean to scare you or anything...I'm just saying."

"You didn't scare me." Addison shrugged. You fucking terrified me.

"I'm just trying to get you ready, you know? You're gonna be away from your parents and your friends. I'm sure they're gonna miss you-"

"-Gabe." Addison stopped him.

He murmured an apology before Oliver's head popped in, "Hey are you ready to go?" The boy glanced over to his little brother and frowned, "Gabe what's wrong?"

"Nothing, I'm fine. Addison, you should go."

"...Yeah..."

"Are you okay?" Oliver asked Addison. "You look down all of a sudden."

"I'm just ready to get this night over with."
