[Chapter 3]

Life was becoming better and better for me. Allen had grown up so much already. He is six months old but started talking when he was only four.

Today he also had started walking, the moment was bliss for me and Rafael. Eulia tried to help him and they walked hand to hand.

''Look at these two baby idiots.'',

''Yes, they sure are cute. Beth?'',

''Yes?'',

''Are you sure you are okay?'',

''I am completely fine.''

he knew I was lying but didn't want to push me more.

Indeed, Allen's eyes were exactly the same as Damian's every time I look at him, I get reminded of the past I, so hard, tried to leave behind.

I love the boy with everything I had, I could give him everything he wanted. He already was a filial and understanding chile.

The doctor said that he was a genius and that he would be able to accomplish everything he wanted in the future. But his social life would be really difficult to grow. His condition was worsening by the day. I didn't know what to do. He never talked to me during the first years of his life, hell, he never talked to anyone. Only when Rafael told him the truth about his father, did he talk to me.

I could see his love for me, and I, myself loved him more than everything, he was my life, the only person that I wanted to live for, my hope, my breath, my heart.

The boy was very good at whatever he was doing. That made me very happy. I already hired teachers to teach him Greek, Chinese and of course English. He was very good at math, physics, and chemistry. He was very proud, of the way his father was.

They had very much in common, even if they never knew each other. Allen never asked about his father, but I told him I could tell him everything when he asked me to. My business studies were becoming more and more had but I was able to take it.

The actress career had already been perfect, just needed a little boost, which I knew I would take after my degree was out.

I waited for the end of the semester to study for an acting career. It only took me two years. I was influential on the underground too. I had already my contacts and had already started building my empire.

I knew it would be harder than the degrees, but I had done it twice before and was sure that I could make it. A long time passed. My studies were over, and my degrees were already with me. My influence too had grown by the year.

They knew me as 'Em Ay', the Queen of the underworld. One morning I decided to call Sheila. She picked up immediately and for some reason knew it was me.

''BETH!'',

''Yes, it is me, Sheila.'',

''You finally called it's been three years, how are you doing?'',

we talked all morning, and then Allen came through the door.

''Mommy, who are you talking to?''

he asked annoyed.

For the past few years, I had been with any man I wanted, which angered Allen, and he was usually checking up on me not to fall in love with anyone. He was too cute and too smart for a three-year-old.

I signaled him to come and cuddle with me.

We lived in a bigger house now. It was beautifully decorated and next door was Rafael and Eulia.

''Say hi to your Aunt Sheila, Allen,''

I said firmly.

He took the phone from my hand,

''Hello, Aunt Sheila. You are the first person from my family that I know now.'',

They talked for a long, long time. Sheila was astonished by the smartness of the little boy, she had fallen in love with him already. I put the phone on speaker so we could talk and hear together.

''My God, I can't wait to meet you guys. I know it isn't going to be soon but I am still waiting for you Beth and Allen, my sweetheart.'',

''Hey, how come now you know Allen you don't acknowledge me at all? That is not fair Sheila.'',

''I am too lovely to be ignored, mommy!'',

''BETH. He is too much. I am in love. Please give him to me.''

we talked and talked and talked.

''Oh yeah, I have to inform you that our family went back to the big house in the capital city. We live in a castle. It's really beautiful, I can't wait for you to come and visit.'',

''Yes, yes. I like big buildings. I can even manage my own in four years.'',

''Wait Beth? What does he mean?''

I explained everything to her, that my little boy was a genius and she was amazed.

''That is the best thing I've heard in my life. Allen, you should protect your mother since you are this smart will ya?'',

''Of course, no one will hurt my mommy.''

they talked and I just listened to them blubbering.

''Sheila, I have to go. I will call you next time okay?''

she agreed and I ended the call. Rafael came to take Allen and Eulia to school as we had some business matters to attend to after.

We went to my office and we talked about how to increase our business and our influence both underground and both in the business department. Everything went smoothly, and I called my mum to tell her everything about it.

''Hi, mum. I have great news!''

I told her everything and we laughed and talked for a while. I was taken aback when she told me that she was going to let me know about our family.

She talked about her parents and how much they wanted to meet me and my son. I was very happy I had grandparents, she also told me that they were also influential in this circle and I was shocked to hear it.

She never mentioned anything to me about her family, which made me sad. She then informed me about my father. I was angry all the years that he wasn't with us, I thought it was his fault but turned out my mother was the one getting me away from him. I understood her, but I also want to meet my father.

She said that he also wanted to meet me, and when I could I would go visit him. She gave me everyone's address and phone number. Also their traits and detail. When I heard about Miss Lorene and her children I felt sad.

Why could they have a father and me not? We ended the call without saying anything more and I went to finish my job with Rafael.

Our cooperation was at another level since we were family. But the other people in my Kappa industry had, were also smart and trustful. They knew the consequences if they weren't. I happened to punish a lot of people for even the slightest mistake, and everyone at the company called me 'The Ice Queen' behind my back. Rafael, except the manager for my acting career, was also a big businessman in management.

His family and he were in the best management industry after the Yangs. My industry was a production one. We produced everything your mind can think of. Movies, dramas, actors, clothes, idols, merch products, lowers, and a lot of other kinds of people. In these three years, we became 'The new era' as they called us in Europe. I had to take my business back to America thought, which my reputation here would help.

Either way, it wasn't going to be easy, but now that I know I have grandparents that love me there I will surely be happier than the moody bitch I've become the past few years. Allen was only three when we went to America. Rafael and Eulia came with us, and lived with his family, as they too, were from there.

When I reached the capital, I saw someone standing there with a label in his hands which wrote my name. I took my bags and Allens' hand and went towards the couple.

''Hello?'',

''Are you Beth Kappa?'',

a stern voice asked.

''Yes sir, you are?'',

he was delighted by my answer and hugged me. Allen was furious,

''HEY. Don't touch my mommy.'',

''Oh, oh I am sorry. I forgot to introduce myself. I am Shawn Bai. Your grandfather Beth. And this is Petra Bai, your grandmother.

''Oh my God I a sorry for my son's rude behavior, he's just overprotective.''

I smiled and hugged the woman too.

''I want hugs too. Mommy never hugs me.''

he frowned.

''That is not true little demon.'',

''Hm!''

the old man picked him up and we left for the luxurious car that awaited us. We got to know each other on the way and I already loved both of them.

''You will stay with us, my girl.''

the old woman said happily.

''Are you sure it's not an inconvenience for you? Allen can be very naughty if we don't do things his way.'',

''Of course, we are. I like him and you very much. We are going to have fun together.''

we all laughed and Allen had already slept in my arms. We went to the house and the old couple sowed Allen his room. It was next to mine, it had a very good decoration like it was made for Allen.

''This is very impressive Mister and Misses Bai,''

Allen said in an approving tone.

''Look at this child, he's exactly like you when you first started your business.''

the woman said.

''I think he is much smarter than me. This is all so enjoyable. Thank you Beth for agreeing with this.''

the man said and stayed with Allen helping him with his things. The woman told me to follow her to my room. It was beautiful too. with dark soft colors.

''I love this room,''

I exclaimed and the woman was so happy she started tearing up.

''I am very sorry we didn't help you when needed. We weren't there for you. I really wish you could call us grandparents. I really want us to be a big family Beth.''

she said and a tear run down my eye.

Family?

Was I going to have a family too? I was overwhelmed and started crying soundlessly like a child.

The woman hugged me knowingly like she knew I had been through a lot.

''Don't worry I will be here for you,'' she said while trying to calm me down.
