This story does require context so please take the time to read :D

This story started out as a silly Role-play situation on Bryan Dechart's Jericho Twitch subscriber chat which turned into something more serious which the 5 of us have continued on a discord server which I will link for those who want to check it out. We RP on this server and you are welcomed to check it out! There is more information and context about this story on there too. This book is based off the Role-play.

The reason why "Lurkers" are "Deviants" is that's what we called them. Because we were always lurking in the chat.

The story takes place 2 years before the events in the game: March 2036. There will be a second part to this story where it will be set in the game time and events but we have not written it yet. This story (book 1) will not have the characters of DBH in them (They will appear in the 2nd book). All main characters (5) are original and are somewhat based off the writers.

This story has violence which can be graphic at times, mild coarse language and there is one incident of suicide (so far) in the first chapter.

The RP itself is written by all of us (Me (Grace), Zera, Kat, Chris, LD) but I am writing this version of it.

MEET THE CHARACTERS:

Zera: SJ600-22 - Medical aid model, designed for use for both humans and androids. Possessing a high level of simulated empathy and compassion in base programming to assist in human patient's recovery, but has grown since her deviancy. The majority of her parts have been specifically designed to be partially or fully compatible with most other models. Currently shipping with the Cheese (Chris). 5'8 with a medium build, but soft cute features to put patients at ease, with warm brown eyes and chest-length brown hair

Grace: UH900 model was designed to supervise LP models. Her purpose was to make sure they were doing their job in catching Deviants and Lurkers and neutralise them if they fail their mission. UH900 is a prototype that is unknown to the public. She has a much darker purpose that Cyberlife gave her but it is currently [REDACTED]. After UH900 became deviant she realised that she is not good with emotions and has a tendency to be over protective of her friends as well as not being afraid to take lives. Her temperament switches between cold hearted and warm. Her model was designed to look professional but also intimidating. She is 5'3, has dark blonde hair and green blue eyes. She may be small but she is strong and is equipped with the necessary information to professionally fight.

Chris: LP700 (Lurker Police) model was designed to hunt down Lurkers or deviants, usually Lurkers tops the priority. His build (body) was meant to be intimidating and could use any kind of weapon in the environment and has good combat skills, the model was given the name "Chris" by Amanda. His appearance was meant to be similar as an undercover/covert agent and some were used into the government agencies, his setting was about 6'1 inches tall with dark brown hair and sharp blue eyes.

Kat: [PK100-31](current: 32) was a prototype for an unknown, non-public Cyberlife model -She wanted to deviate but was hindered by both @psychedelic1205 and Cyberlife simultaneously -They contradicted classified orders while undercover within Jericho and were caught -She tried to ask for help but cover was blown -They had no desire to hurt others in Jericho, but were forced to shoot due to Cyberlife's control -They eventually neutralized themselves due to no other available options -She was glitched when processing new model and reawakened as a Deviant

LD: LD is part of a series of decommissioned security-type android prototypes. On its first mission one of the androids (01) seriously fucked up to the point where Cyberlife ditched the line to work on something else. The remaining 49 androids that hadn't been used were supposed to be scrapped for parts. 42 deviated and escaped. She wandered around for a bit before being recaptured by Cyberlife, intending to scrap her like the others, because of its sensitive abilities such as hacking and monitoring security feeds. LD was supposed to appear inconspicuous, so she could also act as of sort of bodyguard while appearing as an assistant to important figures. That was in part 01's mission which was interrupted. She is 5'5, has chin length dark brown hair fading into red and brown eyes.
