Chapter 3

I decided to update twice in a row cause I can and Teen Wolf did two episodes in a row so... Speaking of Teen Wolf, I have now decided (along with my friend) that I will always shout Baby Dylan when I see Liam. And I'm trying to figure out what to say when Liam is with Stiles in a scene cause I love them together. Even though Stydia is like otp. As long as it's not Malia with Stiles I'm good.

"So, movie tonight?" Thomas nodded along with Ash while Minho put his jacket on. It had been a week since Thomas had last spotted Newt, and the rose he'd received had now slowly started to crumble and was almost no longer living. Thomas still held it in his room though, placed in a glass that he'd taken from the kitchen to use as a vase. He thought it was a sweet gesture, and he wanted to keep it for as long as he could.

It was odd not seeing Newt, he was sure the boy would be there a bit more often now. Maybe Thomas just looked for him too often, expecting to see him when the other only went a few times. Thomas had Newt on his mind every hour, and he was starting to think that he was becoming a bit too involved with something that he should stay out of. He didn't own Newt, and they were barely even friends.

Newt was still strange to Thomas, and Thomas didn't quite understand the other boy as much as he would've liked. He felt like he was giving Newt more than Newt was giving him. And maybe that was a part of who Newt was, but Thomas felt like it was something that went much deeper. It was also the thing that kept him so interested in Newt. The fact that he felt like Newt could be giving him so much more, but he wasn't. And Thomas wanted to know why, he wanted to know what Newt wasn't giving him.

"Hello? Earth to Thomas?" Thomas glanced back up, seeing Ash looking at him with an odd look on her face.

"Are we leaving or not?" Minho asked as he waited impatiently with his keys and a foot out the door.

"Yeah. Sorry. Distracted."

"Newt again?" Thomas glared at Ash, but he knew that it was pointless to hide it because she had managed to figure out that whenever Thomas was in deep thought, it was usually about Newt. It was all about Newt lately.

"Yup, Newt again." Minho said before his figure disappeared entirely as he stepped outside and went to his car, heading to the strip club as the other two stayed behind, going with Thomas' car instead.

"Remind me how you could afford a Lamborghini again?" Thomas shrugged.

"Stripper money? We make a lot more than you'd expect. Of course, women make more, but it's still a lot of cash."

"I guess it is quite a bit. Does that mean I can borrow money from you with no problem at all?" Thomas sighed, before laughing slightly at Ash jumping at the opportunity of getting money.

"If you have a good enough reason to borrow money. And if I can see that you actually spent it on what you promised. But why borrow money from me? Borrow it from your brother."

"Oh, you mean Minho?"

"No, I mean a random stranger on the street. Of course I mean Minho." Ash put her hands up in defense, looking back out the window before the car came to a halt in front of the club.

"You think he's here today?" Ash looked over at Thomas, expecting an answer as the other hesitated to say something.

"Who? Newt?"

"No, I mean a random stranger on the street. Of course I mean Newt."

"Are you mocking me?" The girl chuckled, shaking her head before biting her lip.

"I'm imitating you." Thomas sighed, getting out of the car as Ash did the same, eventually locking it and heading into the building in front of them.

"Want me to look and scream a random code name we come up with for him if I see him?" Thomas laughed, shaking his head and telling her that it's alright. He was sure he'd spot Newt on his own anyway if he was there. Newt was hard to miss, especially for Thomas.

"I'm gonna get a drink. You go on backstage and I'll watch you guys like I usually do without being horribly embarrassed."

"Aren't you charming?" Ash glared, heading to the bar without another word as Thomas went to change, still with a smile on his face as he got make-up and hair done beside Minho like always.

"Your lover out there yet?" Thomas gave him a look, slightly annoyed that his two friends were just as invested in finding Newt. He wanted Newt to himself, which in one way, made him incredibly selfish. But it was hard to blame him. Newt was someone that you wouldn't want to share.

"Haven't actually looked yet. Did you see him?" Minho laughed, and for a second Thomas wondered what was so funny about a question.

"I haven't even met the guy. Besides your descriptions, I have no idea what he looks like." The younger boy sighed, realizing that the other two really had never seen Newt, and if they had then they probably wouldn't know that it was him.

"True. Well, anyway. After our routine is over you can head home with Ash and I'll catch up for the movie. I need a drink first because I'm pretty sure it's the only thing keeping me from going crazy." Minho gave Thomas a concerned look, but Thomas brushed it off because he didn't know why the other was concerned.

"You've started drinking a lot more lately." Thomas burst out laughing at Minho's remark, thinking that it was completely untrue and ridiculous. He hadn't been drinking more at all.

"That's not funny Thomas. You can develop a drinking problem. A week ago you'd drink one glass a week. Two at most. You stay after our shift every day since last Thursday. Which means a drink a day. To you that's a lot more."

"Do we really need to have this type of conversation right before stage time? Can't this wait? Besides, it's no big deal."

"Not yet. It will be a big deal when one drink turns into five." Thomas' knuckles clenched as he tried not to grow extremely frustrated, and he dug his nails into his palm to remain calm.

"I'm not gonna develop a drinking problem. Will you shut up now?" Minho's eyes widened as he'd never been told by Thomas to shut up before. Hearing these words come out of Thomas' mouth were completely new to him, and he wasn't so sure that he liked it. Sure, maybe he'd been told to keep quiet before, but it was always playful, never harsh like the way Thomas had just spoken it.

Thomas got up, ignoring the look his friend gave him as he went out to the curtains that were separating him from the spotlight. He glanced up at the clock, seeing that he had a minute before he had to be out there with Minho again. The other eventually showed up, thirty seconds remaining.

It had never been so silent between them backstage before a show like tonight, the least they'd say was ask if the other was ready to go, but they didn't even share a look at each other before they were called out. They did however, pretend like everything was fine once they were out dancing. And people bought it, believing that their smiles were real as they finished off and went to the back again, showering and changing like they always did.

"You'll catch up to us two then?" Thomas looked over, his mouth agape in surprise that Minho had spoken again, but he nodded.

"Yeah, I'll catch up." Minho nodded, leaving after picking Ash up from the bar.

Thomas just sat down, ordering a drink before waiting for it patiently with his duffel back sitting beneath him. He received his drink a few seconds later, giving the bartender a grateful smile as he took a gulp. Thomas leaned forward, his elbows resting on the surface that held his glass while he traced the rim of it with his fingertips.

Suddenly, he felt a strong grip around his waist and a warmth behind him, and he turned around to find Newt, the one he had been looking for for a week now. The other just smiled down at him, taking a seat next to Thomas whilst keeping his arms around the boys waist, leaning his head against Thomas' shoulder.

Thomas blushed, the close proximity making him considerably warmer as Newt's signature smirk made its way back onto his beautifully structured face. Thomas bit his lip, leaning close to the other as their foreheads connected, and no words were shared between them as Newt pressed his lips to the others. It was slow but forceful, and Thomas let go of his drink entirely as he let his hand rest on Newt's cheek.

Newt was the first to pull away, much to Thomas' dismay, but the blonde ignored it and leaned into his ear, biting gently on Thomas' earlobe as Thomas closed his eyes.

"I want you again." Thomas' eyes snapped open at that, widening as his pupils dilated.

"W-what?" Newt started to kiss Thomas' neck, and Thomas dug his nails into the wood in front of him to prevent himself from letting any noise leave his chapped lips.

"You said I could have you right?" Thomas was stupid to nod, but that's what he did. So, he was led outside to Newt's car, leaving his behind without thinking much about it. They drove to the blondes place which wasn't too far away, and they got out as Thomas was led upstairs to the right apartment, waiting for Newt to find his keys in his pockets and open the locked door.

Once inside, Thomas took his shoes off in the hall as Newt did the same, but he didn't even have a second to blink when he was done as he was already being pushed up against the wall. Thomas welcomed the kiss as Newt pressed himself against the others body, and it was growing considerably warm in the room. Newt bit the others lip, and he wasn't gentle, but it wasn't enough to draw blood either. Thomas didn't mind, gasping at the action before Newt slipped his tongue between the others lip.

They stayed in the hall for a while, kissing until they ran out of breath entirely. Newt took Thomas' hand, lacing their fingers together into a perfect fit as he dragged the other boy to the bedroom. Thomas was familiar with the room, having been there just a week before, but he let Newt guide him.

The younger of the two pushed Thomas onto the bed, and the boy collided with the mattress beneath him as Newt climbed on top of him. Their lips reconnected, and Newt gently let his hands lower down to the hem of Thomas' flannel. He slowly started unbuttoning it, going from the bottom to the top, and Thomas' hands went to reach for Newt's hair.

But then the phone rang, and Thomas instinctively went for his jeans pocket where his phone lay, but Newt placed his hand over the others, stopping him from reaching the phone. He didn't pull away from the kiss either, so Thomas had to do so. The phone was still ringing, and he wanted to answer it. Newt, however, kept restraining him, stopping him from reaching the phone. It made Thomas rethink what he was doing, because he was suddenly fully aware what was happening around him.

"Just leave it, Tommy." Eventually, he gave up trying to get it, letting it ring as Newt kissed him again.

Across town, Minho was currently fuming. Neither of the two knew that though, as Thomas, once again, got lost in Newt.

When he woke up the next morning, Newt was getting dressed again. Hurt and disappointment was visible on Thomas' features, and he felt used again as the other didn't even have the decency to stay for a bit, or at least wake him up and tell him where he was headed.

"Leaving again? Are you ever gonna stay with me after we have sex?" Thomas' tone was harsh, betrayal laced between his voice as well, but he couldn't help it.

"Next time I can stay."

"Who says I'm letting you get a next time?" Newt smirked, walking over with still only his jeans on, and he leant down to be eye level with Thomas.

"I always get what I want. If I want a next time, I'm getting a next time." Thomas didn't want to believe what he was hearing, but then Newt smiled at him in such an adoring way that he instantly forgot the way the other had spoken to him.

"Are you trying to be threatening?" Newt laughed, shaking his head as he put on a button down.

"No. I left my number on top of your phone on a post-it. Meet me at the strip club at three later today okay?"

"I feel like you aren't exactly giving me a choice to show up or not." Newt shrugged as Thomas got up, pulling on his clothes again before taking his phone that indeed, had a post-it note on it with a number.

"What are we doing at three? A date?"

"Nah, I don't do those." Thomas never thought he'd been so hurt by someone else's statement before. The fact that Newt wasn't even willing to go on a date with him broke his heart, but he waited anyway for the other to continue.

"I just thought since I get to see you strip, you get to see what I do when I'm not around or occupied with school." The other boy gave him a worried glance, Newt just smiling as he opened the front door, Thomas stepping out while still trying to tie his shoes.

"Don't worry. I'll keep you safe. I'm not taking you to a kill zone or something. You'll enjoy it." Thomas nodded, wanting to believe the others words. But something was holding him back. He was holding himself back from believing those words. Because something at the back of his mind told him that Newt was up to no good with Thomas. And those were the words he decided to believe.
