Day 25

"Last day!" Butch cried for the tenth time.

Boomer rolled his eyes as he shoved another handful of chips in his mouth. He looked over at Bubbles with a small smile. Well, tried too anyway. His mouth is full of chips. Bubbles just rolled her eyes and looked away with a smile.

After their kiss from yesterday, Boomer couldn't help but blush everytime he sees her. Butch always made noises that sounded as if he's going to die while the others tried to hush him. Bubbles just couldn't say anything because her heart would race every time she looks, think or even hear him.

Blossom sighed as she opened her candy bag, "Are you guys even going to acknowledge the fact you like each other?"

"Isn't that your fifth candy bag?" Buttercup asked.

"Yeah. Want one."

"No thanks. Candy makes me sick."

Butch gasped, "Seriously? Can I have one, Bloss?"

"Sure," Blossom said as she tossed him a candy bag.

"How many do you have in there?" Brick asked.

Blossom looked down at her bag, "If I have to guess . . . dunno. All I know is it fills up one entire pocket in my bookbag."

"You're joshing."

"I never josh about candy, Brick."

"Pass me a bag, girl."

Boomer coughed, "What's 'joshing' and 'josh' about?"

"Means jokes." Bubbles replied.

"T-thanks." Boomer stammered.

Blossom handed Brick him a bag of candy. Brick opened it and began to stuff his mouth with the treats. He almost forgets that he is in a public place. Brick looked over at Blossom with a chocolate filled mouth. Blossom has a lollypop, Butterfinger, and Snickers handing out of her mouth.

Brick didn't question this one bit. Blossom tried to smile but it almost made the candy bars fall out. Brick passed her a napkin but she didn't grab it. Instead, he placed it underneath her mouth to catch fallen slobber or candy bars.

She nodded a thank you. Brick shrugged his shoulders and opened another piece of candy. The two redheads looked at each other. He had the candy in front of his mouth then placed it in. Blossom did the same. Soon the two redheads are seeing who can stuff more candy in their mouth. Their mouths are so stuffed that they can barely close them.

Buttercup sighed, "You're gonna choke."

The two redheads shook their head to answer her.

"Yes, you will."

Again, they shook their heads.

"Fine. Go ahead. See if I'll stop you."

Butch wrapped his arm around Buttercup's shoulders, "Oh come on, Butters! It's our last day. Let's just be together."

"Not while your teeth are stained with chocolate." Buttercup said.

"Wait, you would be with me if I didn't have chocolate stained teeth?"

"I never said that."

"Yes, you did."

"No, I didn't."

"Awe, Butters. I always knew were meant to be together."

"Did you just sang that last part?"

"Only for you, Butters."

Buttercup rolled her eyes, "Who says that we will hang out after school?"

"I did," Butch said as he shrugged his shoulders.

"You did now?"

"Yup! I really like you and I promised if you wanted me too, I will stalk you."

"I clearly said don't do that, Butch."

Butch sighed, "Just say the word and I will."

They looked at each other with smiles across their faces. Butch didn't take his arm off her shoulder. Nor did Buttercup shrug his arm off. They just stayed like that for a moment. Just taking in each other.

Buttercup could count the freckles dotted along Butch's cheeks and nose. She can see his dimples forming with each smile. Buttercup couldn't help but think that Butch is really cute in his strange way. His spiky black hair is always messy and never looks brushed.

And for an odd reason, she likes it. Buttercup almost ran her fingers through it to brush it herself.

Blossom leaned forward, "Are you guys gonna kiss now or . . . ?"

"Shut up!" Butch and Buttercup yelled together.

Blossom giggled as she opened another bag of candy. Buttercup shrugged off Butch's arm and crossed her arms over her chest. Her face is bright red from Blossom's comment. Butch just smiled as he looked at her.

A smirk grew across Butch's face as he looked over at Blossom and Brick. They are leaning closer to each other as they shoved more candy in their mouth. From the corner of Butch's eye, he saw Bubbles shaking her head a no. Boomer started to nod his head with a smile.

Now Butch has to do it.

"I have a question," Butch said.

"This is going to be dangerous." Bubbles muttered.

"This is going to be fun!" Boomer exclaimed.

"Of course you would think that, Boomie."

Boomer blushed from the nickname. He looked at her then back to Butch. Slowly, he reached out and grabbed Bubbles hand. Bubbles gasped but didn't let go. Boomer saw Butch looked at them with an eyebrow raised then back to the redheads.

"What are your plans after all this junk?" Butch asked.

"What do you mean?" Brick asked.

"You know. Are you guys gonna date? Gonna talk on the phone all night? Gonna kiss all day?" Butch asked.

Blossom blushed, "You're noisy. You know that?"

"Yeah, I do. It's my greatest quality." Butch said.

"Well, what about you and Buttercup? Are you guys gonna do all those things?" Brick asked.

"Of course we are," Butch said with a smile.

"We are?" Buttercup asked with a red face.

"Duh."

"You're a little bit confident, Butch."

"Only for you, Butters."

Brick rolled his eyes, "You also said you're gonna stalk her."

"If she asks me too. Then I will! It's what my heart says to do." Butch said.

"Stalk her? Buttercup run." Boomer said.

"No, you hippie! I mean I will do anything that Buttercup asks of me. Want me to punch a duck, I will. Want me to murder someone, I will. Want me to jump off a cliff, I will. Although that would really hurt." Butch said.

"You're whipped." Boomer said.

Bubbles smiled, "I think it's sweet."

"She thinks it's sweet," Butch said.

"So, if I ask for bags of chips in the middle of the night would you get it?" Buttercup asked.

"Of course. I can get some right now." Butch said as he jumped up.

"Not yet." Buttercup said.

"Yes m'am." He said.

Boomer opened his mouth to say something but the bell rung. It dawned on the teenagers that they no longer have to sit with each other for lunch. They no longer have to talk to each other at all. They no longer have to see each other anymore.

They all watched the students get up for class. Brick looked at Blossom, Butch looked at Buttercup and Boomer tried not to look at Bubbles with a red face. They took in a deep breathe before Butch gave a weak smile.

"What happens stays in the lunchroom?" Butch asked.

"What if I don't want it too?" Boomer asked.

"So, what are we gonna do? Hang out after school." Buttercup suggested.

"I would want that." Bubbles said.

"Me too." Blossom said.

Butch smiled, "I think it sounds like a plan."

All the teens nodded at each other.

"Still," Brick said as he wrapped his arm around Blososm's shoulders. "What happens in the lunchroom stays in the lunchroom. At least the bad stuff."

"Deal." The others said together.

Turns out, twenty-five days wasn't so bad, they all thought at the same time.
