The human being is capable of making three different movements with their legs: walking, stopping, and running.

The first two are used in most cases to move from place to place and to settle down. The third comes from instinct. When you want to vent and leave everything behind, you want to run, but its main purpose is not to relax; it's to escape. Escape... from dangers, or we could define it as that human behavior that triggers an alarm in our body called fear.

For some reason, that alarm had gone off in me, and now I found myself running—or rather escaping—from something I perceived as a danger, or someone.

I had followed that cat and the wind, and I got lost in the woods. I didn't know where to go or how to get back home. The sun was also setting, and if it got dark, how would I survive in the woods? I only had my backpack with a phone that had no signal and little battery, some books, an umbrella, and a bottle of water that would eventually run out.

For some reason, however, the man who looked at me didn't pursue me; perhaps he didn't want to scare me.

I kept thinking about his eyes. They were sharp and cold, almost like the eyes of a dragon. They emanated a dominant energy, belonging to someone who commands respect. And finally, the color... red... they were red eyes. Definitely not human, but is there really anyone non-human on Earth who hasn't been discovered or captured yet? Maybe he was wearing contact lenses, though he didn't seem like the type to wear them.

A few hours passed, and my phone completely ran out of battery. I was hungry and felt exhausted after running so much on an empty stomach.

I fainted.

But before I fell to the ground, I felt someone catch me and lift me up, whispering in my ear, "I'll take you home."

I woke up in my bed as if it had all been a dream, though when I got up, I found a series of muddy footprints on the floor. They were from a cat.
