The Actual Vacation: The Las Pegasus Part One
Rainbow Dash smiled as they got off the Friendship Express into the Las Pegasus Train Station. Celestia's bright sun hit her face like how bugs hit the windows of a train. "C'mon you two." The light blue mare said before her two foals galloped off the the train and into the station. "Mom! Can we go boating! That's the main reason I wanted to come here!" Hightide pleaded causing his twin sister, Cherry Bomb, to roll her eyes at him. "Not right now, Tide. Let's talk about plans after we settle down in the nice hotel the princess got us." The mare said as she looked back at the princess of the night. Who was struggling to drag out a cart full of baggage off the train. "You two help Luna while I try to find a taxi with a driver strong enough to carry all of our stuff."
The two foals trotted towards the navy blue alicorn as their mother headed out the train station. When she was out she stood on the edge of the curb and waved her hoof at a attempt to haul a taxi. But she failed epically, she groaned with frustration as for taxis sped by and stopped for other ponies. Suddenly Dash had her determined face on. She stuck her hoof and stretched it as far as she could and as she waved it she screamed, "TAXI!" at the top of her lungs. Suddenly about five or six taxis pulled in front of the pegasus. "Wow, you must be quite the looker if you could get this many taxis." Luna teased as she approached with two foals trailing behind her, each carrying one light bag leaving the rest to the princess. "Huh, I guess you could say that..." Rainbow said as she felt her cheeks heat up. Was she blushing because of the princess? Rainbow quickly shook off her feeling and thoughts, "I think we should take two taxis, so we down break the drivers." Luna looked at the six taxi drivers and the cart full of luggage, "Okay. Which one of you want to ride with me?" She asked Tide and Cherry. Cherry Bomb raised her beige hoof into the air as if she was in a classroom. Tide rolled his eyes, "We're not in school, dummy. You don't have to raise your hoof!" The colt scoffed at his sister. "Whatever." she snorted back as she started to load some luggage into he taxi.
After a 30 minute taxi ride and a stressful hotel check in Rainbow, Princess Luna, and two arguing foals finally made it into the he suite they had booked a two bedroom, three bathroom, suite that was fit for any ruler. "I am so happy we got this sweet suite!" Rainbow said with. A huge smile as the four ponies approached the door to the suite. "Why mom?" The twins questioned at the same time.
"Because it has two bedrooms, you know what that means?" The pegasus smiled at her foals.
"A party?" Cherry Bomb question obviously not knowing what her mother was hinting at. "No, it means you guys have to share a room with each other, which also means I get to nap. Finally!" Luna chuckled at Rainbow Dash as she hope bed the door with the key card.
Both foals frowned. "A nap? But, Mom, you said we can go boating when we got settled!" Hightide complained, "We look pretty settled to me!" Rainbow looked at her son then patted him on the head. "I am going to tell you this now so you'll remember in the future. I, Rainbow Danger Dash, is never settled until I take at least a ten minute nap. So you know what I'm about to do?" She asked. "Take a nap..." Cherry Bomb and Hightide groaned and rolled their eyes at their mother. Rainbow Dash nodded with a wide smile before she trotted off to the master bedroom and plopped on the bed, letting out a loud groan.
Luna chuckled at her friend, "I'll take you two to the pool if you want." Luna said. Cherry and Tide looked at each other and nodded, shaking their head violently. "Okay then let's go!" Luna said heading to the door with the foals following her. "Rainbow, we're going to the pool if you need us!" Luna yelled as she opened the door. After hearing Rainbow let out yet another groan Luna closed the door and lead the foals down the hallway to the stairs. "Why don't we just take the elevator?" Cherry complained as they passed two elevators. "Because technology isn't reliable, so many ponies have been stuck in those very elevators. I was one of those ponies." Luna said as she opened the door to the stairwell. Without another word the trio made it to the lobby and out into the pool area.
"Cowabunga!" Hightide yelled before galloping up to the pool. The lifeguard gave the colt a hard stare as he blew the whistle. "Whatever, dude." He said submerged himself underwater. Princess mouthed the guard a sorry as she headed towards the steps with Cherry and slowly made her way towards Tide. "I'm not going to yell but don't do that anymore." she said calmly before the colt swam under the water again. "Luna you're so calm and collected. You're like a second mom." Cherry Bomb said before putting her face in the water. "Yeah, if Mom was here she's whisper yell at us for being annoying." Hightide sneered before splashing his sister in the face and swimming off, "Tag your it!" The foals played louder than any of the other families, but Luna didn't care. All she cares about was what the foals had said. She was a second mom to them. She felt pride fill her heart to the brim.
