The air which was fanning my face for a long time finally stopped. I peeled my eyes open after hearing a couple of desperate pleadings from Sam that we were on ground. Hell! yes we were flying. I could not believe this myself. I slapped my cheeks a few times before realising that it wasn’t a dream at all.

“What the bloody hell was that!” I shrieked. Sam pressed his lips in a thin line. I wiped the beads of sweat from my forehead and stood up.

“Who are you!” I wasn’t talking, no...I was yelling. I wanted to have the fuc!ing answers.

“Silver calm down.” He took a step forward and I retreated. I trusted him back then I don’t trust him now.

“Silver please.” His brows furrowed together as he pleaded. A howl echoed from somewhere behind. I tripped over my feet, he caught me. I finally noticed that we were not in the town anymore, in fact I doubted we were in America. The sun was about to set when I met them but right now, it was proudly gracing the sky. We were in a forest. Greenery flushed the entire line of vision as I eyed everything. Trees of Wild maple, hazel and lime specified that we were somewhere in the east.

“Where have you brought me!”

“Calm down please Silvy.” He muttered in my ear, his hot breath caressing my cold skin. The scent of his cologne touched my nose.

“Silver we are in Turkey. Mount Latmos.” He added after taking two long breaths with me.

“Mount Latmos? Why?” I frowned.

“Someone awaits you here.” He said in an earnest voice.

“Who?”

“I have to show it to you Silver but we would need to get there fast. Please.”

I gulped hard. Scared to move away from his embrace but more scared to be this close to him. What and who is he?

I slowly pulled away and straightened my clothes.

“Come.” He signalled by his hand. I followed him like a lost puppy. The sun shone brightest at this hour. I wondered the possiblities of running away from him but where would I escape to? After minutes of walking in the never changing scenery, I lost my patience.

“Where are we heading?”

“To a cave.”

“What cave?”

“There is this cave where someone is, the person which you need to meet-”

“Why do I need to meet him?” I cut him in middle. He sighed and halted the movements. I followed suit, maintaining a decent distance.

“Silver, would you believe if I told you the guys you met back there were Gods.”

I scoffed. His head bowed down.

“See, you won’t believe a word I say.” He muttered, enough for me to hear.

“Cause you sound stupid!” I backed away.

“Listen to me Silvy-”

“No you listen to me Samuel. Tell me why the fuck am I here and who the fuck was the guy who attacked me.” My breaths were furious as I had been tired and to be honest, scared. He took two long strides and stood right in front of me, his strong hands grasping my shoulders.

“Who were they Sam?” My voice broke as my eyes welled up. His face softened.

“I told you Silvy, you won’t believe a word I say.”

“I will listen.” I protested. He sighed.

“Silver, did you ever pay attention in the mythology classes we had?”

I nodded in affirmation. The tiny water droplets threatning to escape.

“Okay then. Do you remember the Oneiroi, do you remember Morpheus?”

A piece clicked to me.

“That’s ridiculous.” I muttered. He smiled.

“Would you have believed that we can fly wearing slippers.” I stayed silent so he continued.

“My Lady had sent me to take care of you a long time ago Silver.”

“What! Who?”

“Calm down please.”

I took in a long breath. “Who’s your Lady Sam?”

“That’s not the matter right now. Listen, you are not a simple human, you have never been.” My eyes widened. I could feel the tingle of cold on my skin as the temperature around us decreased. Sam stared at his surroundings and then towards his feet, a look of horror crossed his face for a second. I was about to ask when he hugged me. The shock was so much that my panic vanished.

“What are you doing?” I tried pushing him away but his hold was stronger than I had hoped. He wasn't hugging me, he was holding me in place.

“You need to calm down.”

“Who was the man who tried to capture me Sam?”

“He was Tantalus. A prisoner of Tartarus.”

“Tartarus? Dungeons of the Gods?” I frowned but he wasn’t looking at me. His head was dung in my hair.

“Yes” He said and pulled away.

“Come,” he signalled forward, I followed calmly.

The surroundings finally opened up and the stressfully packed flora changed into trees of Willow and myrtle. The fresh smell of roses waffled my nose as a small patch of pristine roses came in view.

“In a forest so deep?”

Sam chuckled, “Yes, these flowers are sacred to my Goddess.”

The mouth of the cave opened wide, it was lined by limestones. The vines hanging all around gave it a pretty look. I stared at it in amusement. Sam coughed and pointed his finger somewhere in the dark, as soon as I followed his line of vision, there was someone.

A man laid in a pod kind of thing, yellow right emanated from it making a complete and perfect oval. His body was not moving and the skin was almost papery, ancient in my opinion. His face was exquisite which laid smiling on a pillow of a variety of flawless white flowers.  If it wasn't for the rhythmic movements of his chest, I would have concluded him dead.

“Th-”

“My little lady!” A chirpy voice sang. I was so spell-bounded in the man that I did not notice we had visitors.

“Circe,” Sam said scowling, his voice doing no effort to hide his distaste. She laughed melodiously and came into light. Her appearance was breathtaking. Her wavy platinum hair spreaded across her fair shoulders. She donned a black over-the-knee dress with a v-neck design that reveals her elegant collarbones. The features of her aesthetic face were plastered as a smile. Her glassy silver eyes darted to me and if it was possible, her smile widened. I took a retreating step.

“Scared already little moon?” She said staring at me and gasped, “My my, what pretty white hair you have.”

“Stay away lady Circe,” Sam shielded me.

“And who might you be?” She frowned. Sam’s one hand clenched a piece of log.

“Oh darling, you wouldn’t want that.” As soon as she said the words, wolves emerged from behind her, growling and displaying their pointy teeth, lusty of food. She smirked and winked at me.

“Silver,” Sam’s voice was filled with panic. I stared at his face. I jerked my head towards him and to my surprise, he pushed me.
