I totally have a thing for soldiers, I'm not even gonna deny it lmao

Well, Winter Bear was my debut work and honestly I had the plot for quite a while in my head...I just didn't have the guts to actually write.

The inspiration behind Winter Bear:

I was heavily inspired by these to write WB, the plot was supposed to be based on a young photographer Jin who gets swamped by a wave of mishaps as he finds himself falling for a gruff, socially awkward n yet oddly considerate Tae.

I don't exactly remember the reason I chose the title 'Winter Bear' but I remember analysing the fact that the story was gonna reveal how the hibernation (here, hideaway) of the characters was gonna end and each of them would learn to find their way to life again.

I remember the days I used to do extensive plot lining n constantly debated on the characters... however, I had decided it would definitely have TaeJin n Sope. Jinkook relation was a crucial one...especially for how Jungkook's character would be built around it.

The most difficult character was definitely Taehyung, to build his nature that was battered due to trauma, secrets, grief and his lust for revenge, and yet keep him a sane and unspoilt character who still had hope to improve and heal himself despite his gruesome circumstances and how Seokjin’s character turns to become that beacon of light in the midst of all his darkness.

But I adore the way the story shows their bond, for TaeJin as well as all the others n how they literally save the day together...I never thought I could create it n am actually pretty glad that I could portray it the way I had imagined n am even more ecstatic to see it make do many of you happy to read it❤️

Although my writing wasn’t A+ at that time, still isn't but I can tell that I have improved since then, yet it is a story which I adore and am biased towards…it’s the story that taught me something about myself and that is something I will forever cherish.

I will share something regarding myself here, but before that tell me a habit or a skill you picked up without even realizing or because of your parents and yet actually enjoy it?

I know a teeny tiny bit about photography, bird photography mostly because of my Dad, and he kinda rubbed his passion for it on me(I know about 1500 birds and can detect them just by their colours, or legs or beaks…weird right? I know! The things you learn without even trying to! And yet it’s so difficult to remember a few formulas or the Periodic table!).

I love love loovveee the mountains! I’m utterly emotional n nostalgic about them. Every year I accompany him for bird watching tours around the foothills of the Himalayas.

However, with this pandemic it has become pretty impossible to do that.

But I do wish to feel the call of the mountains again, they make me feel so tranquil...I miss that very much...
