Chapter Seven: Brady

Diana's POV

"Jay," I whispered harshly.

I peeked my head from the side of the boulder. He snuck behind the guard and snapped his neck in a swift motion.

"Hey!" The other guard yelled.

Jay's claws dug into the man's eye sockets, twisting them deep and scratching his face. The body fell with a thud and Jay licked the blood off his fingers.

"You can come out baby! The coast is clear." Jay yelled.

I slowly walked out from hiding, making my way to the little boy. I knelt down to him, giving him a sympathetic stare. Jay held my hand, licking his lips.

"Hey buddy, you're okay now," Jay whispered quietly.

He tried to stick his hand out but quickly retracted when the boy backs away and starts breathing heavily.

"N-no please don't hurt me."

Jay frowned deeply. The little boy was scared of my mate. My heart ached a little as Jay gulped a tiny bit.

"Hey, Jay? Why don't you go stand over there for a moment? Let me talk to him."

Jay glanced at me and shook his head immediately.

"No, I want to stay with you." He scooted closer to me and cuddles into my right arm.

I sighed softly and rubbed his dark hair, kissing his pale cheek. The boy whimpered and warned me with fear,

"S-stay away from him! He's going to kill you!"

Jay whimpered and kept quiet, holding my hand with his bloody one. His claws grazed my wrist a bit.

"Shh, He isn't going to hurt anyone. Not me, not you, not anyone. Not even your mother."

He gave me a confused look and turned his head to the left.

"That's not my Mama. My Mama is inside with the Alpha King."

Jay finally let go of me then wrapped his veined hands around the cuffs the boy was wearing. A sizzling sound occurred and he pushed the chain away.

Jay roared in fury.

"Damn it! These are silver chains! Hey, buddy are you a werewolf?"

Nice being straight-forward babe.

The little boy nodded slowly and shivered at my mate's presence.

"I haven't shifted yet though. Alpha King says that he was helping my mama with something, but I think she is in trouble."

Oh no.

Jay snarled heavily and spoke up again.

"We need to find her and bring them back to our territory. Figure out how to get the chains off, I'm going to go get his mother,"

I hugged Jay and gave him a passionate kiss causing a big grin to form on his face. He licked his canines and pecked my lips once more.

"I love you. I'll see you in a bit."

"No. We came here together and we are going to end this together. Let's get him out first then get his mom." I replied.

He groaned and agreed after some convincing.

"Okay, fine. Diana, can you go find a rock or something? Stay close though,"

My feet were now flat on the ground as I made my way back to the large boulder. Maybe there would be rocks around it.

I was wrong.

My head turned back to Jay, watching him take his shirt off and wrapping it around his hands. His charcoal eyes met mine, giving me a quick wink.

"Any luck?"

I shook my head, searching the ground with quick glances.

"Not yet."

My eyes wandered to the right of Jay seeing something shine brightly. He got a stronghold onto the cuffs trying to pull them off with all his strength. Jay huffed in annoyance when nothing happened.

"Babe, there is something next to you," I spoke to Jay.

My body went to the mysterious object watching it glare in the sun. Once I made it, I tilted my head with pure confusion? What the hell were keys doing here?

"Uh, Jay? There are keys just laying here..."

The ringing of the chains stopped and he made his way to me, wiping the sweat off his face. He picked them up with his t-shirt, causing the jingling to stop in an instant.

"Bingo!"

He hurried his way back to the little boy, opening the things that kept him from being free. They seemed to fit perfectly.

"Doesn't this seem a little suspicious?"

Jay put his shirt back on before resting his hand out for the little boy. He grabbed onto it quickly, clinging onto his leg. Jay pushed the boy off of him and went to the silent woman who stared at the ground.

"Hello?"

He waved his hand over her face trying to get a reaction out of her. A sigh left his lips before he smacked them together.

"She's dead."

Another life lost for something so...useless.

I walked to Jay, clutching his bicep. He looked at me for a moment and dropped his head forward slightly. The little boy stood quietly as he waited for something.

"What's your name?" I asked him in a calm voice.

"Brady. Brady Mason."

I froze and my breathing stopped while Jay became completely stiff. Shit, this wasn't good at all! The little boy was the literal spawn of Satan? No this can't be happening!

"Pardon?" My mate let out a deadly growl when he asked.

Jay pulled me into him, his claws digging deeply into my skin with anger. I bit my lip at the pain and scratched onto his arm to stop the uncomfortable sensation. He slowly wiped the pierced marks on my arm.

"Brady Mason."

"I-is Theo Mason your father?"

Brady gave me a puzzled look and scratched his knee before speaking again.

"No! My Papa is the Alpha King!"

I groaned and slapped my face with irritation, trying to hold in all the rage bubbling up inside me.

"That's Theo."

"Let's play a game!" Brady cheered.

"Wait-"

"Hold on!"

He ran away from us before one could answer. Jay picked me up bridal style and sprinted to catch up to the insane boy we saved.

"I can't believe I have a nephew, who is completely delusional and my brother's son," Jay said out of breath.

We continued to follow him until he stopped at someplace, it was quite creepy.

Maybe even creepier than the cellars at our territory. Brady stopped in the middle of the woods and sniffed the air slowly.

Jay did the same thing and quickly put me down, raising an arm in front of me for protection.

"Papa?" Brady questioned.

Jay took a couple of steps closer to me when Theo walked out of the trees with some woman.

"Nice job Brady," Theo's voice thundered.

Brady ran into his arms and Theo picked him up with ease. The woman kissed his cheek quickly, relief filled her eyes.

"What are you doing on our territory?" He asked sternly.

"You have a son?" Jay questioned, ignoring Theo's question.

"Brady, meet your uncle, Alpha King Luca."

"The only Alpha King..." I muttered under my breath.

We all stood across from each other as the royal family glared at me. Jay seemed to notice and slowly urged himself forward.

"Don't look at her like that! This is between YOU and me,"

Jay pointed to himself harshly.

"No, this involves everyone. Theo, we came here to talk," I spoke angrily.

He handed Brady to the woman next to him, resting a hand on her back. I gripped on Jay's hand to prevent him from doing something regretful.

"You need to stand down now or I will have your head on a plate as I peel your flesh slowly and take your teeth out one by one," Jay threatened.

Theo laughed at his remarks and shook his head slightly,

"You always knew how to make me laugh brother,"

Jay dragged up forward a tiny bit causing Theo to whistle loudly showing large rogue wolves to evolve from the trees.

"I wonder how father would have handled this situation, but you killed him," Theo sneers.

My eyes widened and I gulp loudly.

"You loved watching him in pain, didn't you? You loved watching mother scream for her life,"

What was he talking about?

"Diana, stand next to me. This is going to be hell..."

"End his life," Theo ordered.

The rogues piled up on top of Jay biting into his body. He roared in agony shifting into the large black wolf. Theo laughed while watching his brother becoming torn in front of him.

Brady clapped his hands at the scene, observing everything.

What the hell was wrong with this kid?

Jay jumped out of the large pile of wolves, shaking his fur quickly. He stood in front of me, getting in a ready stance to kill anyone.

There were too many of them, Jay won't be able to kill them all. I shook my head at my dumb decision but went along with it.

I have to be a distraction and get rid of some of them on my own. I'm dead.

"Hey! You guys over here...OH SHIT!"

Multiple rogues chased me down as I ran back to the large boulder. My legs ached from the lack of energy my body could hold.

'Baby, what are you doing?!?' Jay howled as he mind-linked me.

'Just watch...' I replied with a smirk.

I slid to the Moon's Packhouse door and slammed it open. The rogues followed me closely. I made my way to the kitchen and grabbed a large butcher knife in one hand.

They crept forward and drool dripped down their canines.

I breathed heavily and held my ground.

"Alright, you wanna fight? Let's fight,"

The one on my left ran to me allowing me to duck down and slit his throat. He fell to the ground and bled out.

The rogue in the middle shoved me to the ground. I grabbed the knife and stuck it right into his head, the blood squirting all over my face before shoving him off.

"Asshole," I muttered while spitting out the red saliva.

I looked down at my bandaged arm and saw some blood seeping from it. The last rogue's eyes dilated from the smell.

Come on Diana, it's just one more.

He snarled and ran to me. I moved a little to the side watching him crash into the cupboards.

Ha! Dumbass!

I climbed on top of him and put him into a chokehold. The rogue tried pushing me off by running into other things.

My hands reached into its mouth, separating the top and bottom jaw. With all the force I had, I broke his bottom jaw causing a screeching sound to leave its mouth.

He finally pushed me off and continued to leave horrendous noises from his poor snout.

My hand grasped the knife again pointing it to the injured wolf.

"I'm sorry," I whispered.

The knife digs into his skull dropping his body to the ground in an instant.

'Woah, that was hot,'

My gaze went up as I saw Jay wagging his tail. He trotted to me and licked the blood off of my face. His tongue warmed my lips as he gave me a 'kiss'.

"We really need to talk about your parents," I mumbled into his fur.

His body erected in response and I massaged his ear to calm his nerves.

My hands went to the sides of his snout and my forehead met the rough patches of his fur.

"What happened in the past, stays in the past. It will not affect our future..."

'I know. I won't let that happen,'

I flinched at the sound of loud clapping which ruined our moment. Theo walked into the kitchen with a smirk plastered on his horrid face.

"Impressive, brother," the sarcasm in his deep voice.

"We want to make a deal," I spoke loudly.

Theo raised an eyebrow and squinted his right eye a bit.

"Speak."

Okay, this is your chance to end all of this,

'Diana, what are you doing?'

'Just watch Jay...'

"We want peace. We want you to stop killing innocent pack members and wolves...I specifically don't want you coming near our territory again,"

Theo kept quiet and licked his lip as if he was thinking,

"Alright, and what do I get in return?"

Jay eyed me immediately knowing what I was going to say,

'Darling, don't.'

You have to do this Diana,

"Y-you can stay as Alpha King."

AN: Hello! Oh my goodness why did Diana do this? Now things are really getting worse. I wonder what Jay must be thinking...and Luca. Hopefully, you enjoyed the chapter, and please don't forget to give it a vote and comment! Much Love!
