It's Luna's first day of kindergarten and she's excited. She goes to her bus stop and has a big smile on her face. She sees the bus coming and stop in front of her. As the door opens her heart drops. She walks onto the bus and she hides her face behind her hair. Luna was a pretty shy girl. She goes to the back of the bus and there's someone sitting in the seat across from her. They look at her and laugh and call her names. Surprisingly Luna didn't cry. She just turned away. They get off the bus and she follows everyone to breakfast and she sits by herself but her best friend Antonio who lives next door saw her and sat with her. She feels a little bit better with him there. But it doesn't last long because they aren't in the same class. The teacher made her upset and she got smart with her and got in trouble.

Luna goes home and sees her mom waiting at the door.
" Hi mommy! " Luna greets her mom and tries to hug her but instead her mother stops her and smacks her in the face.
"DON'T HI MOMMY ME YOU LITTLE BITCH GO TO YOUR ROOM I'LL BE UP THERE SOON!!"
Luna obeys her moms orders and goes upstairs holding her face which now has a red hand print on the whole left side of her face. She hears footsteps and the only thing she can think is "oh no mommy's coming "
Sure enough it's her mom. Her mom comes into her room with such fury and hate in her eyes and just starts beating her so hard. Luna starts crying and wondering why her mom hates her so much.

A week has gone by and she still can't go to school because of the marks. The school just thinks she's really sick.

2 weeks later she finally returns to school and she actually makes friends this time. But they're all boys and they do weird things but she's happy. She's so happy she made new friends.
