shay screams, "don't even!" the two siblings anxiously watching spirited away in karl's living room. karl on the other hand is setting up to stream. "why is this lowkey so sad!" she whines again.

"it's an allegory for-" jake starts, but karl peeks his head through the entrance frame.

   "i'm gonna stream,, so... be quiet jakey." he smiles sweetly at jake, shay glances back offended.

karl smiles while his starting soon screen was displayed because he was happy. he wanted to keep his cool during the stream with his face cam. "hello chat!" beside the fact of his face cam off, he still had his goofy smitten smile. "so freaking sorry i had to push back stream," no single bone in his body was sorry.

he transfers to his green screneed face cam. "hello chat! i missed you guys." a smile just from not quite being able to get her off his mind.

   from the other room, "pause it!" she whisper yells to jake. she smiles and takes her phone out, twitch. she pulls up the boys stream just from the other rooms.

    "fit check!" he says happily crouching his knees in front of him. surprisingly he finds balance while standing on his spiny chair. "sweat pants." he tugs at his pants. his hands place softly on his chest. "my favorite sweater." it was a blue and tan sweater that was newly brought back to him the other night.

for a second he smiles at the word favorite because why was it? her scent was still lingering on the fabric. he catches himself on his monitor with the stream, his stupid smitten grin.

"isn't that shays?!" quackity ls voice appears from the vc. karl, inevitability, blushes like a bright rose shade had taken over with a wave of heat. you can hear a faint sound of sapnap's laugh.

   "oh shut up!" nick snaps back, "rumors are false, karl and i were dating this whole time." sapnap says which makes karl slightly uncomfortable, but he smiles through it.

"yeah we're the real ship!" karl says struggling a bit.  "now let's change the subject."

shay was using karls shower which left karl and jake hanging out within the kitchen. it was a nice new kitchen and karl kept it pretty clean. the three were lazy, so they just ordered pizza. the two boys were on their phones.

karl's goofy smile grows again while he stops by a specific new instagram post. of the girl glowing in the sunlight. jake peeps behind him and chuckles, "ha! simp!"

steps came from the hallway, shay in christmas pajama pants and a tank top with her hair wrapped in a towel walks into the area, "who's a simp."

"KARL!" jake couldn't have screamed his name faster.

karls face goes red, shay smiles with him and walks over to wrap her arms around the boys torso. "you are so cute." she pouts looking upwards.

he gives on and wraps his arms just a little bit tighter. shay notices the phone screen, he hasn't even liked it. "you are so pretty." he looks at her and kissed her cheek.

for a couple seconds the two exchange light compliments. jake's voice mimics a barf, "GROSS!!!". karl and shay look at each other one last time before looking at jake. "get a fucking room."

"if ya say so," she sings and quickly takes two pieces of pizza onto a place and walks off with karl who has a pizza slice in hand.

they watch adventure time as they both sit on the bed and eat pizza... shay eats pizza while karl watches but his mind wanders. "we're doing this right, right?" he asks.

"what," she cuts herself off to chew and swallow.

"this whole, not public and posting a thing?"

   the question catches her off guard, "umm... i don't know." she feels the need to pause the episode. "can- can i tell you something?"

   "obviously."

   she sighs collecting herself, "this is like... my first relationship since like... freshman year of high school."

    "really?" he lets out a slight laugh of a sigh, "i mean- you know that girl who-" he stops as she audibly respond a hum. "she was my last girlfriend, from early college. we're both pretty rusty i guess."

   "but yeah, i think it's good. less pressure."

   he grasps her hands in his, "the last thing i want," he looks into her brown eyes, "is for you to feel any kind of worthlessness because you are so... fucking worth everything."

   that plucks something in her and she uses every muscle she can to hold back tears. "umm.. yeah." she sniffles.

  karl takes the controller and starts up the episode again. "come here!" he grasps her by her waist and pulls her in front of him in comfort. they both laugh as karl cuddles her.

she loved the way his hands would tangle through her hair and the warmth he would bring with him. "hey karl," he mumbles a response because he was half asleep. "i'm very happy."
