🔮Home🔮

She didn't know how it had happened, but Scarlett found herself making a home at this dragon preserve and making friends whilst being able to watch and work with some mighty creatures. It was mid August, the blazing sun up ahead with the wizards and witches lounging around and relaxing.

The red haired teen sat up in her favourite tree, legs swinging back and forth as she looked over the beautiful scenery. A leather bound book rested in her lab, quill in hand as she wrote down her latest work and observations with Alas. Alas was officially dubbed her dragon thanks to Charlie and AJ who had seen to it after watching the dragon view her as an equal and befriended her.

Charlie and AJ have become her closest friends, the two being just over twice her age but still acting rather childish when around the teen. They were actually currently looking for her, wandering the forest before finding red head who was giggling whilst watching them look for her.

"Hey! We've got dinner on back at the cabin. You coming?" Charlie beckoned.

Scarlett just nodded, closing her leather bound book and clutching it close to her chest before jumping down the tree and landing perfectly. She had perfected her landing over the summer.

"Yeah, lets go!" She grinned, linking her arms with Charlie and AJ as they bounded back to the hut where Scarlett collapsed into a chair by the table.

"So, what happens once summers over for you?" AJ questioned, pushing back his black hair so it didn't obstruct his blue eyes.

"Back to school I guess, not like I wanna go there" she mumbled, still scribbling down notes in her journal.

"Where is school for your exactly?" Charlie called from the kitchen.

"Beauxbatons" she mumbled. "How I wish I could go somewhere else though" she whined.

"Why don't you look into transferring?" Charlie suggested.

"I can do that?" Scarlett piped up.

"Yeah, its not too late to do so. Just contact your current headmistress and then contact the headmaster of the school you wish to transfer to" AJ informed.

"But that's just it, Beauxbatons is all I've ever known. What other school would I go to?" She sighed, placing her quill down and dropping her head down onto the table.

"Why not Hogwarts? That's where I went" Charlie informed, placing a plate of food before Scarlett then AJ before sitting himself with a plate of food.

"Really?" She asked brightly. "And would you help me send the letters?!" She squealed.

"Of course" Charlie grinned.

"Wait...where is it? How would I get there? I would need money for the required textbooks and uniform"

"I'll get you there, I can apparate you to the village nearby and then walk with you up to the castle. It's located in Scotland. Don't worry we will figure everything else out closer to the time" he grinned.

Scarlett then jumped from her seat, sprinting down the hallway and into her room, scrambling to grab two pieces of parchment and two envelopes.
Racing back to her seat, she looked at Charlie apprehensively who just chuckled before moving to sit by her and helping her write the two letters.

"You know, you will be in the same year as my youngest brother" he informed, sealing the first letter to Madame Maxine and sending it off with an owl.

"What's he like?" Scarlett questioned, writing down the second letter addressed to Albus Dumbledore.

"Stupid" he bluntly replied, evoking a bark-like laugh from AJ. "Got a good heart though, picks his friends well and keeps them close" he smiled.

"His name?" She questioned, sealing the second letter and sending it off.

"Ronald, but we just call him Ron"

"Well then, I'd like to meet this Ron" she grinned, stretching in her seat before standing to her feet clasping her journal close to her chest.

"Where you going now?" AJ called.

"To see Alas, I haven't seen her all day" she grinned, practically leaping for the front door.

"Be safe!" The two of them called.

"Yes Dads" she smirked, causing the two to lightly glare at her as she stuck her tongue out at them and left the cabin.

"Alas!"
