Camille had finished her classes for the day and whilst she would have time to work on her homework, she skipped out to the field of Hogwarts to meet the twins for flying lessons. She was practically giddy with excitement as she thought about it.
"Please tell me you at least know the basics," Fred said slightly complaining.
Because in his mind how could any witch or wizard not know how to fly? It was like basic witch and wizard 101.
"Obviously," Camille said slightly offended.
They had gained a little bit of an audience with Fleur, her sister Gabrielle, Cedric and some of his best friends. Thank God Viktor Krum wasn't watching as Camille wasn't sure what she would do if he were. At least it saved her from some embarrassment.
"D'you have a broom?" George asked.
"You do have a broom, right?" Fred asked
"Obviously," Camille rolled her eyes and got it out. "How could I not have my own broom?"
"Just making sure," Fred said as he raised his hands up in surrender.
"Right."
"Did they teach you the basics at Beauxbatons?" George asked, curious.
"Oui, they did," she nodded her head. "I know what to say and how to get on but I don't know how to control my broom. They only rushed teaching the students that would be seventeen for the Triwizard Tournament."
"I see," George said. "Well, what do ya say Freddie? Think we can teach her?"
"I think so, Georgie," he told him with a smirk.
"Up," Camille said and it landed it the palm of her hand as the twins brooms landed in their's as well.
Camille got into position just as the twins did and listened to their next instructions.
"Now, lean your body forward like this," George told her as he demonstrated the motion. "Make sure you grasp the the broom to prevent the broom from facing downwards. By doing this it also allows you to accelerate."
George showed her what to do as he then took off, followed by Fred and then Camille did as well.
"Another thing - try not to psych yourself out," Fred called out to her and George rolled his eyes.
Camille had wobbly arms at first as she was trying to stabilise herself. Then she saw the ground and screamed as she lost control and fell. George flew over to her and got off his broom as he helped her up, luckily she wasn't super high yet.
"You all right?" He asked her concerned as he looked her over once to make sure she was okay.
"I'm fine," she tried to laugh it off. "Can we try again?"
"Yeah," he smiled at the french girl. "Ready?" She nodded her head and got back on her broom.
She tried again and though it was better than the first time it still wasn't like Fred and George. Though they had years of practice and were on the Quidditch team, so of course they would be good at flying. Trying it again and again, she gained a bit more confidence in herself and Cedric was the first to cheer for her.
"You got it," George yelled as they were up and flying and she let out a laugh as she felt so free.
"This is amazing," she yelled back at him with a smile on her face.
"You were brilliant!" Cedric grinned at her once they landed and were now off of their brooms.
"Thanks," she grinned at the Hufflepuff. "I hadn't been able to fly at Beauxbatons so Fred and George helped me."
"Well for that being your first time - that was really good," he complimented her. "Would you want to transfer to Hogwarts by any chance to play Quidditch?"
"I'm in my last year at Beauxbatons, sorry," she gave him a small smile before she felt someone come up from behind her and lift her up in a hug making her surprised.
"That was bloody amazing!" George exclaimed as he twirled her around making her squeal as she held onto his hands. "I knew you could do it!"
"All thanks to you and Fred," she told him as he let her down and they faced each other.

Camille watched in wonder as ghosts flew about the Great Hall and one of them in particular flew up to them as his head was nearly severed.
"Ah, the Beauxbatons!" Nick said cheerfully as they all stared at him, Susan with her eyes widened in shock. "You know, I know of Nicolas Flamel who attended Beauxbatons, great school."
"You did?" Camille asked shocked. "How'd you become a ghost?"
"Ah, interesting story that is, indeed," he told the french girl.
"I wouldn't have done that if I were you," George whispered to her as he leaned closer to her.
"Why not?" She asked furrowing her eyebrows.
"You'll see."
"You see once upon a time I attended Hogwarts and was sorted into the Gryffindor House. I was almost beheaded but because the axe was too dull and despite them trying to kill me forty-five times they weren't able to behead me."
"Behead?" Camille let out a gasp as the ghost tilted his head to the side showing the result of what had happened. "Wow, did it hurt?"
"Like hell," he smirked. "But after the first five hits my neck started to feel numb so didn't feel it as much."
Camille wasn't sure if she should laugh or not as she drank her pumpkin juice which she had become obsessed with in her short time at Hogwarts.
"Sorry that happened to you," Camille told him.
"Don't be," he waved a hand at her. "If that wouldn't have happened then I never would have become a ghost at Hogwarts," he told her and floated away.
"Told you that you shouldn't have asked," George told her taking a bite of his dinner.
"Seems like such a sad life he had," Camille said with a sad face.
"Yeah, pretty tragic," Fred chimed in. "How many of those pumpkin juices have you had?"
"Three, I think?"
"You know Ron," Fred brought his younger brother into the conversation. "I'm not sure who loves pumpkin juice more. You or Camille?"
"Well, I loved it the longest so me obviously," Ron smirked at the blonde and she rolled her eyes.
"Just because you've loved it the longest doesn't mean you love it more."
"Are we really arguing about drinks?" George groaned making them laugh.
"Well," Ron let out a long sigh. "I guess since your new here, I'll allow you to win this one."
"Oh don't do me any favours," she told him and he was about to respond before Dumbledore began to speak.
Ginny rolled her eyes not liking the fact that that her siblings were easily taking a liking to the french girl.
"If I could please have your attention," he said as he widened his arms. "Now that the Goblet of Fire has chosen its champions - Fleur Delacour, Viktor Krum, Cedric Diggory and Harry Potter," Camille noticed that Ron rolled his eyes at the mention of his best friend and wondered why. "I would like to discuss the tasks. The first task is coming up in a few weeks and whilst there will be no Quidditch this year due to the Tournament, I hope this Tournament will make up for it. I see that some of you have already started making new friends. "For all of the tasks the champions will have to figure out what they are. There will be clues that each of you will be delivered. Almost like a riddle of sorts. This is to help your agility to help you think through the tasks when they are being held, especially the last one. Not only will these tasks be a test for your physical ability but your mental ability as well. It will show what you young witches and wizards are truly made of. Enjoy the feast because in three weeks time will be the first task."
"Are your brother and Harry not talking?" Camille asked George quietly as they sat at the Gryffindor table and George lifted his head in their direction as he noticed the two were either silent or talking to Hermione or Ginny.
"No," George shook his head. "Since Harry had his name put in the Goblet, Ron is still upset by it all."
"Does he think Harry put his name in himself?"
"Dunno," George shrugged his shoulders. "I think he did last night but now am not sure."
"Whose that?" Camille asked no one in particular as she looked in Hagrid's direction.
She looked at the half-giant with shaggy hair and a wild tangled beard. Camille also noticed Madame Maxine eyeing him. She shivered at the thought and not in a good way. She knew that Madame Maxine wasn't married but it was odd to think of her dating anyone or interested in anyone at all.
"Oh that's Hagrid," Fred grinned. "He's the Keeper of Keys and Grounds here."
"D'you see that?" Camille asked the twins and they were confused.
"D'you see what she's talking about, George?"
"No idea Fred," he shook his head.
"The look Madame Maxine is giving Hagrid," she told the twins and it made sense to them finally and Fred snapped his fingers together as he thought of something.
"We should give her a love potion," Fred exclaimed. "See what happens with that."
"Does it actually work?" She asked worried.
"The question is do their products ever actually work?" Hermione asked as she butted into the conversation making Camille smile.
"Blimey, Hermione! It's like you have no faith in us at all," Fred shook his head.
"We're disappointed in you. Thought you would have learned by now," George said as he crossed his arms and the young girl rolled her eyes.
"Ignore them and don't let them give Madame Maxine a love potion. Would hate to see what a disaster that would be."
"Noted," Camille laughed and then squinted her eyes as she tried to read the letters on the badge that Hermione was reading.
"What's that say?" Camille asked as she pointed at Hermione's badge.
"Oh, This is S.P.E.W. It stands for The Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare," Hermione boasted proudly as she lifted her chin. "It's a society I started to bring awareness to the unfair treatment house-elves get."
"Really?" Camille asked. "What happens to them?"
"Most of them are horribly mistreated, abused even. It's time that they get the independence and respect they deserve."
"But are you sure that they want independence?" Camille asked countering the subject. "Maybe some of them don't want independence because they feel safe in their masters' home? Have you talked to them? Seen what kind of change they want instead of just deciding for them?"
"At least she's fighting for something," Ginny butted in as she stood up for Hermione and glared at the french girl. "How do you even know how house-elves are treated? I bet your parents are just like the others who abuse house-elves."
"If you're going to create a campaign you have to be able to fight for it," Camille told the young girl. "You're going to have arguments on both sides. You can't just listen to what you want to hear rather than what some people really think. And I'll have you know my parents don't even own house-elves. They don't think we should own them because they wanted to teach me from a young age that I can do anything I can without magic and that I don't need help from someone to do it. Excuse me," she told the girl and walked out, ready to go to bed as she had enough of this.
*
"Wait," George called out to Camille making her turn around and tilt her head to the side.
"Oui?"
"Let me walk you to the carriage?" She nodded her head and blushed slightly as he rushed to catch up with her.
"Are you always this charming?"
"They say I'm more charming than my twin brother, Fred," George grinned at the french girl making her look at him quizzically as if she was trying to find out if he was being honest or not.
"I see," she gave a tight lip smile as they continued walking. "And how many siblings do you have? Is it just you, Fred, Ron and Ginny?"
"Oh no," he let out a laugh as he was excited for her reaction. "Let's see," he put on a thinking face making her let out a small laugh. "There's Charlie. He's the oldest, then Bill and Percy."
"So there's seven of you lot?" She asked with widened eyes and her mouth widened slightly. "That's so many."
"We get that all the time," he let out a laugh as he ran his fingers through his shoulder length ginger hair. "And every year there's a new Weasley who comes to Hogwarts the professors always groan. How many siblings do you have?"
"Only myself," she let out a small smile.
"Must be kind of lonely sometimes, yes? Sorry about that back there with my sister," he apologised on her behalf. "She can get like that sometimes. Doesn't make it right."
"Oui and thank you. Bonne nuit, George," Camille told him as she waved at him and he waved back as she got into the carriage.

So I had seen a post on reddit that I thought was interesting that has to do with Camille's reasoning behind House Elves. The argument wasn't necessarily between her and Hermione as it was between her and Ginny. Because like I said in the bio of this book that this will be similar to both books and movies. In the books Ginny didn't get along with Fleur for a long time and I kind of wanted to incorporate that in here.
Below is the website post you can check to see the comments on Hermione's S.P.E.W. campaign. You'll see Camille's true feelings towards House Elves in the next chapter :). hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!!! 🎃👻
