October 30

Madame Maxine had recently told the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic School that they were to go to Hogwarts to compete in the TriWizard Tournament.  Though Camille wasn't of age to compete in it - she was still excited.  Camille had her trunks all packed and was with her roommates as well as Fleur Delacour and her sister Gabrielle.

Their trunks being loaded already as each of the girls had gone into the carriages they were assigned.

"What do you think it's like?" Camille asked the girls in their carriage.

"Hogwarts?" Fleur questioned and Camille nodded her head.  "Not sure.  But I've heard it's interesting.  They don't have rules there is what I heard."

The gigantic carriage matched the same colour as their uniforms - powder blue which also happened to be Camille's favourite colour.  Their uniforms were consisted of light blue clothing that was made of silk.  The carriage was being pulled by a dozen winged horses called Abraxans.  She could feel them lift off from the ground but it was so seamless without feeling a thump as they had done this many times before that they grew accustomed to it.

"No rules?" Camille's eyes lit up.

"Not like we do but I'm sure they have some.  They have to I'm sure," she told the blonde she had grown to love over the years she had known her.

When Camille first came to Beauxbatons - she was sorted into Bellefeuille House.  As was the rest of her friends including Fleur and her sister.  It wasn't that she didn't like Beauxbatons - she loved it in fact.  She loved the serenity of the gardens she felt anytime she went there to study.  The magnificent fountain that was in the middle of the park of the school.  Her parents had gone to Beauxbatons as well and now lived in Chamonix, France.  It was a beautiful town with cobble stone streets that was close to the Mont Blanc mountains.  It was where she lived when she wasn't at Beauxbatons.

Her father was a wealthy investment broker whilst her mother worked at Place Cachée in a confectionary shop called Confiserie Enchantée de K. Rammelle.  Because their father made the most of the money to support their family, her mother still wanted to work and make money of her own.  Her father hadn't been interested in any of the wizard jobs though he had been offered a position at the France Ministry - he had turned it down.  When he had heard of the passing of James and Lily Potter, he knew he had made the right decision.  He knew that it was dangerous and wanted to get his family out and in safety.

Though they had a mansion, they lived in a neighbourhood where the neighbours were witches and wizards as well.  So if they did a little magic here or there, no one called them out on it or thought it was odd.

Camille had a close relationship with her parents as she was the only child they had.  She was fine with that but she always wondered what it would be like to have siblings as it would be lonely when her parents were off to work and she was at home by herself with her nanny and maids.

Camille would often spend her days at the shop her maman worked at.  Though it was a simple job, her maman loved it and she loved trying all the sweets her maman would make.  Her papa often worked long hours sometimes not coming home until nine o'clock at night.  Though he worked long hours, whenever Camille was off from school, he always made sure to take his family on holiday's.  Wanting to spend as much time with them as he could.

"What d'you think the tournament is like?" Gabrielle asked no one in particular.

"I heard it was amazing.  My papa was the winner when he did it," Camille boasted proudly of him.  "He said that there's all these different tasks that you do but he wouldn't say what," she pouted.

"Well, it's probably so that he wouldn't give everything away," Fleur said as she smiled at the girl who was a year younger than her.

"What do you think Harry Potter is like?" Camille asked.

"I heard he has a scar on his forehead," her best mate, Susan, said with wonder.  "I've seen it in The Daily Prophet."

"We've all seen that," Camille pointed out.  "I meant what he was like as a person."

"I dunno," Fleur shrugged her shoulders.  "But he's had to have a hard life not having both his parents.  Can't imagine."

"Me neither," Camille pouted.

She didn't know what she would do if her maman or papa passed away or was killed the way Harry's parents were killed.

"I think he looks hot," Anya grinned.

"You'll probably charm him with the veela in you," Camille sang as the girls laughed and Anya laughed.

"Now ladies and gentlemen," Madame Maxine began to say as they were getting closer to Hogwarts.  "When we arrive at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, I ask that you all be on your best behaviour whilst we are there.  It is imperative that you do as it is a reflection not only on me but on this school.  But most importantly, enjoy it here whilst you can," Madame Maxine said in her thick french accent.

"Oui, Madame Maxine," they all agreed whilst they felt the Abraxans land steadily onto the ground of Hogwarts.  Like a feather landing on the ground, weightless.

She could hear the excitement from the Hogwarts students as she looked out the window that was next to her and saw the large castle.  She could feel the butterflies in her stomach as she was excited for this year.

A whole year at Hogwarts!

As she was sent to Beauxbatons that morning, her parents sent her off a farewell.  Wanting to spend as much time with her the week before she left for the school year.  The large seven-story high castle came into view and Camille let out a gasp as she got closer to the window.

"Look at it," she said to her friends and they followed her lead.  "It's beautiful!"

"It really is amazing," Susan let out a sigh.

The carriage came to a stop and the school was let out as they walked close together.  The cheering from the Hogwarts students were loud and some were waving to them.  She looked up and smiled at them as a certain red head caught her attention.  She could feel her cheeks blushing slightly as he smiled at her and she looked down quickly.

The Great Hall looked amazing as it was decorated for the start-of-term feast. Golden plates and goblets placed at all the tables as hundreds of candles were floating over the tables in midair.

"Blimey," the red head from earlier commented. "You're from Beauxbatons!"

"I am," the blonde smiled, proud of her school. "My name is Camille and this is Fleur," she spoke in a strong French accent.

"George Weasley at your service," he spoke and she giggled lightly whilst Ginny rolled her eyes at her brother crushing on the blonde. "This is my twin brother Fred."

"Hi, nice to meet ya," Fred joined in.

"You as well," she smiled at the twins.

"Are you wanting the bouillabaisse?" Fleur asked, not caring to make friends with these people if they were only here for a year then would be leaving.

"No," Harry shook his head speaking up for Ron who couldn't seem to speak at the moment as he was gaping at Fleur.  "Go ahead.  We're done.  It was great."

"Thank you," Fleur said, grabbing the bouillabaisse and leaving back to the Ravenclaw table.

"All of you should try the crème brûlée and the profiteroles.  They're my favourite.  We must get back to our table.  Bye," she waved at them.

"You git," Ginny smacked her brothers heads making them groan and glare at her.  "She was probably a Veela using her magical charms on you."

"Was not," George groaned.  "I could tell."

"How so?"

"Because I wasn't like Ron," he pointed out as their brother was still starry eyed about Fleur.

Ginny didn't care though.  She was sure that she didn't like any of them from Beauxbatons but Camille hadn't seen the look Ginny gave them.  It wasn't until the other schools arrived that Dumbledore had been standing up to the center and was already speaking.

"The Triwizard Tournament is about to start.  I would like to say a few words of explanations before we bring in the casket-"

"Who d'you think will be chosen?" Camille murmured to Gabrielle as they ate still.

"Not sure," she shrugged her shoulders.  "But I'm sure my sister will."

"I think so too."

All of the girls in their friends group knew that Fleur had been wanting to enter since she found out about it.

"Just to clarify the procedure that we will be following this year.  But first, let me introduce, for those who do not know them, Mr. Bartemius Crouch, Head of the Department of International of Magical Cooperation-" an applause broke out of respect.  "And Mr. Ludo Bagman, Head of the Department of Magical Games and Sports.  The instructions for the tasks the champions will face this year have already been examined by Mr. Crouch and Mr. Bagman," said Dumbledore as Filch placed the chest gently on the table before him, "and they have made the necessary arrangements for each challenge.  There will be three tasks, spaced throughout the school year, and they will test the champions in many different ways. . . their magical prowess, their daring, their powers of deduction and of course, their ability to cope with danger."

"As you know, three champions compete in the tournament," Dumbledore went on his voice silky soft.  "One from each of the participating schools.  They will be marked on how well they perform each of the tournament tasks and the champion with the highest total after task three will win the Triwizard Cup.  The champions will be chosen by an impartial selector: the Goblet of Fire."

Dumbledore now took out his wand and tapped three times on the casket.  The lid creaking open.  Dumbledore reached in and pulled out a large, roughly wooden cup with blue-white flames dancing along side it wildly.

Camille gazed in it at wonder but what she didn't know was that a certain red head was gazing at her.

"Anybody wishing to submit themselves as champion must write their name and school clearly up on a slip of parchment and drop it into the goblet," he spoke.  "Aspiring champions have twenty-four hours in which their names forward.  Tomorrow night on Halloween, the goblet will return the names of the three it has judged most worthy to represent their schools.  The goblet will be placed in the entrance hall tonight, where it will be freely accessible to all those wishing to compete.  To ensure that no underage student yields to temptation, I will be drawing an Age Line around the Goblet of Fire once it has been placed in the entrance hall.  Nobody under the age of seventeen will be able to cross the line.

"I want to stress enough that those who are considering to enter should not take this lightly.  This is a very hard tournament and requires your magical ability, mental ability as well as your physical ability.  Now I think it's time for bed.  Good night to you all," he bid the students a farewell as he left to go to his chambers.

Camille wasn't sure what this school year would bring - but she was excited.

The first chapter is up!  Sorry it took so long.  I'm in online school for university so I'm not sure when I'll be able to update next.  But I'm going to try my best to update regularly.  Just please don't ask me to update.

I hope you all enjoy this story and are excited for it.

What do you think of Camille so far?  I wanted to leave Ginny's personality similar to the book.  When Camille or the others from Beauxbatons are speaking I won't be having writing it how J.K. Rowling did just because it will be easier.
