Azura Book Club (Lumity Week Day One)
This was written a while ago and I did not complete Lumity Week. This is the only prompt I did.

Content: Luz and Amity's first Azura Book Club meeting.
Amity sat crosslegged on a beanbag in her hideout, watching as Luz talked animatedly about the events of the most recent Azura book, which sat on the desk behind Amity. It was really something, the way Luz talked with her hands as much as her voice. She was loud, too, like she didn't care who heard her. She didn't care what anyone who might hear thought of what she said.
"And did you pick up on that subtext?" Luz asked excitedly. Her eyes shone with passion for this series, a passion that Amity shared but never showed. "Azura totally has a crush on Hecate! She just hasn't realized it yet."
"You thought that too?" Amity inquired, a little surprised. She'd thought she was just projecting.
"Of course! You'd have to be blind not to see it." Luz nodded so hard Amity almost thought she was going to break her neck. "So, what did you think of the book? I've been talking so much I didn't even ask you."
"Oh, I thought it was... enjoyable," Amity said decisively. Yes, enjoyable. An accurate, but not fangirly way to describe the book.
"Is that all...?" Luz prompted. She'd expected more? "Amity, if you didn't like it, you can tell me. I won't be offended or anything."
"No, I did like it! I liked it a lot." Amity assured her. "I just don't talk about things the way you do."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, you're so comfortable with yourself." Amity began. "You say what you want without thinking about whether it's the proper or correct thing to say. It's not even just your speech. Everything about you is spontaneous. You're so free-spirited, I'm almost jealous. Actually, I think I might be jealous. I could never be so open. What would everyone say if they knew Amity Blight was obsessed with teen fantasy novels?"
"I don't know what everybody else would say," Luz slid from her beanbag and scooted closet to Amity. "But I say that's really cool. You don't have to be ashamed of something that makes you happy. Nobody should think any less of you just because you like Azura. Heck, they should think better of you. Azura fans are awesome!"
Amity let a bit of a chuckle slip out. Luz always seemed to have an inspirational speech on hand. She wondered sometimes if they were all improvised, or if Luz stayed up at night thinking of them, just in case a friend needed a confidence boost.
"You're really something, did you know that?" Amity told her warmly. "Something special."
"I think you're special too!" Luz grabbed Amity's hands and propped herself up on her knees so that she was almost eye to eye with Amity. "And I think we're even better when we're together."
