This is a poem/song thing based off of Diana and Caine from the Gone series. Diana is the point of view that it's written in.

Eyes closed, don't let the light in
Hands touch, feels like a sin.
I see your eyes piercing the night
I feel your touch, so light.

The pain follows you wherever you go,
I want to make it disappear and take you home.
No matter what I do, the monster is too strong.
No matter what I say, I'm always wrong.

Two twisted hearts combined as one
I didn't know love could be this strong
I will stand by you,

Our heart beats are louder than fear
And I fall when I can't feel you near.
We are two broken lives
I am a broken life.

When the darkness comes and settles on us,
When I can't see you, when there is no us.
My heart shatters, pick up all the shards.
