Lukas Pov:

Okay, I finished talking to Reuben about what I should do so I can tell Jesse and let's just say, that his advice was amazing, the science guy turned into a Cupid, I'm surprised he doesn't use his own advice. Maybe he might use in the near future but right now I need to try and get Chara on my side, like I have mention before she and I don't have to greatest relationship you can ever think of. Since she is very overprotective of Jesse its been hard trying to tell Jesse how I feel with Chara always interrupting us, which by isn't the greatest thing to ever.

All I have to do is convince Chara to help me and at least have her blessing to date Jesse, I know you're suppose to say that to the parents or the brother but telling Chara is more important. Ever since I joined she's given me the stink eye or the death glare and that's something that kinda freaks me out, even when I'm hanging out with Jesse and she's near by, she gets mad. I don't know how but I'm going to try and convince her or is try to make sure she doesn't see me confessing to Jesse.

"Hey Chara."

"What do you want blondie, I'm trying to do homework." She said (Fun fact, human age and monster age work differently, so in monster years she's 16 and a sophomore)

"I know it sounds crazy but I need your help on a valentine thing I'm working on."

"You're right, that is crazy, its a valentine, how hard can it be."

"It's not just any valentine, its for Jesse, I want to tell her how I feel and if she can be my valentine on Valentine's Day." I said

It was silent for a while, Chara just sat there, frozen, as if my words were something she never expected. She turns around and says

"You know what, you're right."

"Really?" I say because that's the first time she agrees with something I said.

"Yeah, you're crazy if you think I'm going to help you out hooking my best friend with you!" She said.

Okay, I expected that.

"Listen, Chara, I want to tell Jesse and I was thinking about coming to you and tell you-"

"What, you were going to say 'Hey Chara, Can you help with me with trying to get Jesse to be my girlfriend on Valentine's Day'." She says in an angry tone.

When I expected her to be mad I never actually thought she would be this mad, maybe I told her at the wrong time 'cuz she looks ticked off.

"Why are you so hot-headed , I know you don't like me but seriously why do you always do this, and for the record, I wasn't going to say what you just said, so for once how about you don't act like you hate the whole world." I snapped, I covered my mouth because I might have just lost my chance of convincing someone who knows Jesse a lot more than me to help me.

She gave a mad and shocked face, she got her stuff and left the room but before she could she told me this.

"How about for once in your life you shut up."

--TIME SKIP--

It's almost 9:00 p.m and that's the time Chara leaves, and I still haven't convinced her to allow this plan to work or to help me out with just one step in the plan. It also didn't help that I snapped at her earlier and if anything that didn't help my chances either, if Chara tells Jesse about this she's going to hate me that I insult her best. I was walking until I saw Jesse coming towards me.

"Hey Lukas, what are you doing outside?"

"Just figuring out what to do."

"Do you think its going to happen." She ask

"What is?" I say confused.

"You know, if Chara or Reuben are going to tell each other their feelings towards each other."

"I doubt it, Chara is tough but when it comes to things like these, she tends to freak out a bit."

"Agree, plus, she always says that she doesn't want to admit her feelings 'cuz she's afraid of something will happen, just like her old crush Nathan."

"But Reuben, even do the boy gives out amazing advice about love he tends not to use it but I believe that he'll use it in the near future."

"Yeah, agree." She says

We kept on walking until I realized something, Jesse said that Chara was afraid to say she has feelings for someone ever since her old crush, maybe that's one of the reasons why she was ticked off.

"Wait, Jesse, can you tell what does Chara do on Valentine's Day."

"Sure, ever since Nathan left she found Valentine's Day a holiday that she rather forgets that existed but she always gave us Valentines, and since tomorrow is Valentine's Day she's been stressed." She explained

Of course.

"I'll see you later Jesse, I have to do something that is important." I say very excited.

"Okay, see you around." She said as she left.

I ran back to the house as quick as I can, I finally know what I can do to convince Chara, let's just hope she doesn't get more angry.

--TIME SKIP--

I made it to the house just in time because I saw Chara packing up in the kitchen, I walk into the kitchen and Chara noticed I was there. Before she can leave I blocked the exit that way she couldn't escape, unless she uses the windows or her magic.

"Out of my way blondie." She said in a threatening voice.

"I know why you're so mad, you don't like Valentine's Day because it reminds you about your crush and you don't want to admit your feelings 'cuz you're afraid." I explained.

"Who told you this?"

"Jesse."

"I told her to keep it a secret, either way, why do you even bother?"

"Someone told me to keep it a secret but I know someone who is going to ask you to be his Valentine."

"Wait, what, who?"

"I can't tell but he work so hard on this thing just to tell you if you want to be his Valentine."

"Wow, I didn't know."

"See, someone wants you to be his valentine, he cares about Chara, and understand that what I'm doing is for Jesse so please, help me." I said trying to convince her.

She looks at me and then sighs.

"Alright Blondie, if this goes well, you have my blessing."

"Thank you so much." I said as I hugged her.

"Not a hugger!" She yelled

"Sorry."

"Anyway, show me the plan."

"Okay, I asked Reuben what I should do and he did what it would look like on this paper, and the check list."

"For a boy of science he's good at romantic advice."

"I know but he told me that it has to be magical."

"Easy and simple, since I won't be doing anything on Valentine's Day I can simply re-arrange the stars to say I love you, Reuben got the full moon part right but it is going to be cold so give her your jacket or something."

"Good idea and is there anything you can't do with your magic."

"I can't cheat on quizzes." She says, I give her a face that says 'seriously' but I just quickly shrugged it off.

"Thanks Chara, I owe you big time."

"I assume Reuben already told you but if you break her heart I'll break you."

"Okay." I said terrified.

I can't believe I got help from Chara, if anything this was some unexpected help.
