(I was watching daughter of discord and when I heard this song and saw Screwball and Mothball dancing, I came up with this)

Jesse Pov:

"Come on Jesse, the ballroom dance is about to begin!" Said Olivia excitingly and annoyed, Olivia is excited for the ballroom dance, when we got our invitation she was excited and forced us to go, she's scary when it come to these things.

"Alright I'm ready." I said as I walked down the stairs to see my friends.

"Wow, you look great girls." Said Reuben cheerfully

"Aww, Reuben, you're such a sweetheart." Said Olivia

"Alright let's go." Said Olivia until Petra said

"Wait, we're missing one, Chara!"

"I'm not coming out!" She yelled as she's hiding in the closet

"If I have to suffer you're suffering with me." Petra said as she broke down the door with an axe, took Chara's hand, and dragged her out to see Chara's dress.

"W-woah Chara, you look amazing." Stutter Reuben as he blushed, it's adorable to see Reuben get like that.

"Okay, let's go, the dance is going to start in a bit." Hurried Olivia, we then left to go to the dance, I've never been to a ballroom dance before, I'm kinda scared.

--Time skip--

We made to the ballroom dance and it was absolutely beautiful, no wonder Olivia wanted to attend this.

"Well, I'm going to get a table for us to sit at." Said Petra

"And me and Colin are going to get ourselves something to drink." Said Axel as him and my brother

"I'm just going to mingle." Said Olivia

"Me too, see ya around." Said Reuben

"I'm gonna join him girls, see ya later." Said Lukas.

"I don't like this." Mumbles Chara

"Come on, turn that frown upside Chara, this might be your only chance." I say

We decided to find the table Petra decided for us that way we can sit down for a while before walking around. I found Petra at a table with 8 chairs, enough for all of us, I also saw my brother and Axel at the table with drinks and cake, of course. "Hey guys, how you doing." I said "Fine." Replied my brother "Hey Jesse, you think Lukas is going to ask you to dance." Said Petra smirking at me. Apparently, Petra asked that at the wrong time because we are surrounded by people who are way overprotective of me, Chara doesn't like Lukas hanging around me, Even do Axel and Lukas are friends he doesn't like Lukas dancing with me, and Colin doesn't want me around boys so I know he doesn't want me dancing with Lukas. I hid my blush and tried to replied until Axel said

"Petra, this is a dance, there are a bunch of guys who would want to dance with her."

"Axel, buddy, I'm pretty sure there are also guys with dates." Said Colin

"While you guys are debating, how about you Chara, do you think Reuben is gonna ask you." She said with the same smirk she gave to me.

I could easily tell Chara was blushing and it's pretty adorable, she has feelings for Reuben and it's pretty cute how she pretends not to have them. "What do you mean?" She asked "Well, you two seem cute together you know." Replied Petra, "Plus, I can tell you want him to ask you too." now Chara was blushing hardcore as she said that.

"So how are you guys enjoying the dance." Said Olivia as she walked to us

"Great, I'm loving it." Said Petra

"I'm hating it." Said Chara as she tried to hide her blush

Lukas Pov:

"So you're going to ask Chara to dance, right!" I ask

"Yup, is it weird to say I'm scared." He said

"Don't worry Reuben, it happens to some guys, you just have to be brave." Said Olivia as she tried to boost his confidence.

"But this is Chara, she's the coolest girl I know, how am I going to tell her."

"Just talk to her bro, Olivia got these tickets so you can ask her." I said trying to calm him down.

"And for you Lukas, you're too shy around Jesse and it's time to man up and ask her, Reuben is younger than you so it makes sense why he's scared but you're older, so be confident." She said, and she's right, I'm too shy around Jesse and its time to man up.

"Okay, they play a slow song after this so this is our chance Lukas." Said Reuben

"Alright, let's go." I said, we then left to find the
table the others were to ask Jesse and Chara to dance, I then spotted Jesse in her white dress, she's so beautiful. I snapped out of my gazed and asked Reuben to go first, he agreed and went to ask Chara.

I'm so nervous

Jesse Pov:

The others and I were chatting until someone said

"Would you like to dance."

Chara and I turned around to see Reuben behind us and it was easy to tell who he was asking, I looked at Chara and she looked at me blushing, it wasn't until she said

"S-sure."

She took Reuben's hand and they walked to the dance floor. I then heard someone on the mic say

"Alright, its time to bring it down a notch, everybody, grab your sweethearts for a little slow dance, Lazari (I couldn't think of anyone else, so she came in mind) ."

It wasn't till a slow dance was starting up and I heard someone say

"Care to dance." I turned around to see Lukas having his hand out, I said yes and grabbed his hand while blushing

We then joined Chara and Reuben and started dancing, I felt butterflies in my stomach knowing I'm dancing with him and I felt like Colin and Axel were looking our way.

"You know, I never got the chance to say you look beautiful in that dress." He said as he blushed

"Woah, thanks Lukas, I actually didn't get the chance to say you also look handsome in that black suit." I said as I blushed

"It's so unbelievable that we got a chance to be at the ballroom dance, my mother always said this is were she met my father." I said as he spun me around

"What I can't believe that we were normal people back then and rivals and now we're the New Order of the Stone and I'm dancing with you." He said as he spins me around again.

We then kept dancing and Lukas was right, its hard to believe we were rivals before and now we're dancing together, I feel like this is a dream and I never want to wake up. I took a quick glance at Reuben and Chara and it was easy to tell they were enjoying dancing together, so cute. I then saw the others join in to dance and I swear, it feels so weird to be here but at the same time, it feels amazing. More people were starting to dance with other people but with Lukas it felt like we were the only people here dancing, the fact that we're looking into each other's eyes and dancing, that what made it feel like we were the only one dancing.

The lyrics in the song got me thinking and wondering during the song and it amazes me how this song attracts so many couples to this but at the same time, no. This song says that it doesn't matter what people say about you and your lover because if you love each other, that's all that matter, and I love that message because I like Lukas, even when he was in the ocelots, I loved him no matter what. And I hope other couples know that. Because I also want other people to know that no matter what you both look like or if something is stopping you to be together then it doesn't matter 'cause you deserve to be happy, I knew Chara also deserves to be happy too and I hope that Lukas might have the same feelings for me despite our past together.

People say love happens for a reason and it's an amazing thing to happen for people who care about each other deeply.

I stopped thinking for a minute to enjoy dancing with Lukas 'cause who knows, this might be my one chance to be dancing with him without any interruptions because like I said, I like him and I hope he likes me back and we can be more than just good friends to each other.

"You know, I always wanted to ask you this." He said

"What is it?" I asked curiously

"Was wondering if you wanted to go out with me, you know together, 'cause I love you." He said blushing

I blushed at what he said and said

"Yes, I would like to go out with you." I replied

He was smiling and blushing at the same time and so was I because at least I know he likes me the same way I like him. I blushed like crazy and at the end of the song, he dipped me and kissed my lips and I kissed him back.

The thing that got me in the lyrics was the fact that when he ask if we could go out together, that was the exact part were it said

We'll promise to be more than friends

So the inspiration for this fanfic was the fact when I watched daughter of discord Episode 5 my mind literally went straight to thinking about Lukesse and boom, fanfic. Leave request, stay calm and Lukesse on, and Peace out
