Leia's POV

I wake up in my warm bed, sit up straight, and stretch. The memories of yesterday's conversation hit me and that's when I realize why I'm so happy. I actually managed to have a normal conversation with my crush, who is super cute and genuinely a super nice guy. Life is going my way and I'm sure it will today.

I just jinxed it didn't I?

I look over at my bedside table and see my charging phone has a notification. I pick it up and see it's an email from Lost and Found Studios.

My adrenaline kicks in as I click on the notification slowly. I should be going quicker but I'm really nervous. I close my eyes and face my cheek to the bright screen to prepare myself for anything.

Ok. In 3...2...1!

I look quickly at the screen and then throw it across the bed before I can even process what the email said. Then I do process it.

I got in. I got into Lost and Found!

"Mom! Wake up! I got in! We have to go now!" I scream while running to my poor sleeping mother. She looks up slightly at me to make sure I'm not injured and then plops her head down to go back to sleep. Then I'm guessing she finally processes what I'm saying because she starts jumping up and down and I join on the fun.

"Oh my goodness, honey! I am so proud of you. Ok I'll go take a shower and then I'll drop you off there, ok?" she asks while rushing around looking for clothes.

"Ok," I say while grinning.

Now that my adrenaline has piped down a bit, I take the time to actually read the email. It says that I have made it in as well as other girls named Annabelle, Eva, and Rachel, I'm assuming the same Rachel that was super rude to me on audition day. Dang it, I will have to interact with her again at some point. 

I get ready really quickly, slipping on a cute outfit. I know I already made a first impression and I got in, but today is my first actual day there and I feel liking looking cute to boost some of my confidence. 

My mom drives me over to Lost and Found while ranting about how I'm gonna do amazing there and I'm gonna be a leader. I really wish her overconfidence had passed down to me because I'm definitely sure I'm not gonna be the best singer there or anything

I walk around and inhale the fresh smell of... instruments. I don't know how to explain it. They just have their own smell.

I'm look around for anyone else that might be here early. I'm about to enter the rose room when I hear someone talking. His voice sounds really familiar.

"Not long. So when are you getting here again?" the person asks. I recognize it as Theo's and I guess he's talking to someone over the phone.

There's a pause before he answers,"Ok ok, I'll stop. But do we have to talk about this?" 

I know I'm eavesdropping but I like him a lot and what's the harm in overhearing some personal life details?

"Yeah dude. I really like her a lot," ok now I'm for sure listening in. He could be talking about me!

"Well she has really cute brown curls in her hair. And she has an amazingly soothing voice. I mean it is beautiful," he says while smiling.

Wait I have curly brown hair and I guess I'm a good singer since I made it in here. Could he be talking about me? I think he is.

I have to go away and think about this for some time. Maybe I'll ask him out today.

Theo's POV

"How long have you liked Maggie?" John asks through the phone.

"Not long. So when are you getting here again?" I ask, trying to change the subject. 

"Dude stop changing the subject. I'm gonna get this information sooner or later and you know it," John teases.

"Ok ok, I'll stop. But do we have to talk about this?" it's kind of embarrassing.

"Yes. But are you being serious? You really like Maggie?" John asks.

"Yeah dude. I really like her a lot," I say while drifting into a daydream. Maggie just kind of has that effect on me.

"Why?" he asks kind of rudely.

"Well she has really cute brown curls in her hair. And she has an amazingly soothing voice. I mean it is beautiful," I say with a sigh.

"I cannot believe you actually like your best friend's girlfriend. Pretty scandalous if you ask me," he teases.

"Shut up. You cannot tell anyone. It won't matter anyway. You're right. She's Luke's girlfriend and I can't do that to him. I'll probably just tell her about my feelings but I won't expect an answer back. I'll have to get over it."

"Ok dude. Good luck with that," John says like he's in a hurry.

"Yeah yeah I'll let you get back to your date," I say as I hang up. My heart hurts a little now. I really like Maggie. Why'd Luke have to get to her first?

I start to walk out of the room but then I bump into Rachel.

"Can you watch where you're going? Jeez," she mutters while she rolls her eyes.

"Sorry," I say sadly. She almost has a look of guilt on her face, but then it glosses over and she just rolls her eyes again and then stomps away.

She needs to learn some manners.

John's POV

I realize Theo has finally hung up and focus all my attention back on Michelle.

"Sorry. Theo was just having some girl troubles," I apologize.

"With who?" Michelle asks.

"He likes Maggie. But Maggie's dating Luke."

"Really? I feel like Maggie and Theo would be cuter than her and Luke," Michelle says before thinking,"I mean they just have more chemistry. Not to mention Theo knows how to deal with Maggie when she's in one of her cranky moods without making her hate him. I heard Luke and Maggie got into another fight because he made her give up her extra shirt to one of the new girls."

"Yeah I guess I get your point. But anyways, let's stop talking about them and let's go back to our date," I say, eager to hear Michelle's plans for our next date.

Leia's POV

After a very long walk, I have come to my senses and decided to ask Theo out. I mean if I like him and he likes me, everything should fall into place, right?

I finally spot Theo sitting on a bench while leaning into his hand. He kind of looks sad. Maybe I shouldn't do this right now.

And yet I'm still walking towards the bench.

I walk over and sit down awkwardly beside him.

"Theo?" I ask quietly. He responds by giving me a head nod. Maybe he's nervous. That would explain why he keeps looking the other way.

I keep talking anyways,"Ok. I'm just gonna say it. I like you, Theo," I blurt out.

He nods his head vigorously and responds with,"I know." He knew? Is that a good thing? I can't tell if something's wrong or something's right.

"I think I overheard you say that you like me earlier? Is that right?" I ask nervously. 

"Mmhmm," he mumbles back. For someone who's getting confessed to, he sure is not excited.

"So will you be my boyfriend?"

After a long pause he answers,"Sure. I can agree to that," he answers nonchalantly. Did he just say yes? It might've been a weird way to say it, but he said it. He said yes!

I'm gonna die of happiness.

After a moment, he sits up and he turns towards me and starts to ask something, but I'm too excited to hear anything else so I interrupt him,"No you don't need to say anything else. This is perfect!" I say while I run off.

Theo's POV

After a while of thinking and considering and reconsidering, I realized I have to tell Maggie how I feel and allow her to reject me so I can move on.

I sit down on a bench and plan out my words before going to Maggie's contact and pressing call. The phone rings for a few seconds before she finally picks up and, in her sweet voice, says,"Hello?"

"H-hey Maggie," I pause, not sure what to say next.

"Is there a reason you called me?" she asks.

I take a breath before blurting out,"Because I needed you to know that I like you."

"You like me?" says the utterly confused and beautiful voice.

"Yeah. I do. I just had to tell you. I couldn't hold it in any longer," I whisper.

Suddenly Leia comes over and plops down beside me as if I'm not on a phone call.

"Theo?" she asks. I simply give her a head nod because I'd much rather be getting on to the more important matters on my phone. Does she actually not know I'm on a phone call?

"Theo? I'm sorry but you do you know I'm dating Luke, right?" Maggie asks with a sad voice.

"I know," I answer. Meanwhile I can hear Leia talking to me about something in the background but I don't really care in that right now.

"And you do know that I'm very happy in my relationship with your best friend?" wow way to put it in bluntly.

"Mmhmm," I mumble while Leia's still talking in the background!

"But...Theo I do really appreciate your friendship. I don't think anybody knows me better and I don't want to lose this friendship over your feelings for me. So I'll make you a deal. We put this behind us and continue being as close of friends that we are and I don't tell Luke about this conversation. I don't want you to get in trouble with him."

I'm sad that I truly am stuck in the friend-zone but I'm glad she had the same idea as me, so I say,"Sure. I can agree to that."

"Ok see you later," she says before hanging up.

That's when I remember there is a girl sitting beside me who's been talking to me about something apparently urgent enough to interrupt my phone call. I turn to ask her what's she's been saying but she shushes me before I can even get anything out and says,"No you don't need to say anything else. This is perfect!"

What did I miss?

John's POV

After our date, I decide to take Michelle to the recording booth so I can sing her the song that I had been writing for her for the past week. 

I lead her inside and quickly sing her the song. I went a little faster than usual because I was nervous.

I look at her to see the reaction on her face and she's smiling really wide. She runs in and hugs me.

"John I loved that. I can't believe you wrote than in a week. That was wonderful," she says.

"It's not hard to write a good song when you have good inspiration," I say before leaning in to give her a kiss.

"I love you."

"I love you, too."

Leia's POV

I took another long walk and need to stop for a bit to rest. All I've been doing all day is walking. And getting myself a boyfriend!

I sit down for a second. A few seconds after I hear John in the recording studio finishing up a song. I wonder who it's for. I didn't know he was dating anyone.

I lean my ear against the door and hear some brief "I love you's". Then I look through the tinted window to see the silhouette of what looks to be Maggie hugging John?

Yep it's that same dark brown, short, curly hair. Maggie's definitely cheating on Luke.

I run around trying to find Luke when I finally find him in Java Junction. I sit down on the stool next to him and just get straight to the point.

"Maggie's cheating on you."

He just looks at me for a second and then starts laughing. I give my most serious face so he can tell I'm not joking and he stops laughing.

"Are you being serious?" he asks, worried.

"Dead. I saw her and John confessing their love for each other in the recording studio."

"No. She wouldn't do that. And John's my best friend," he says with tears in his eyes.

"Well I saw what I saw," I say. Then I notice Theo walking down the hallway and get selfish for a bit. I completely forget about the situation at hand and decide now would be a good time to announce our relationship. "Just ask my boyfriend."

I point over at him and he gives me a really confused face. Why is he confused? Was I not supposed to tell people?

"Your boyfriend? You and Theo are dating?" Luke says with disappointment.

"Um no?" Theo answers. Wait what?

"Ok, this is clearly just a whole big mess. Theo, find Maggie and Leia, find John and Michelle. Let's just all talk this out," Luke says in a very authoritative manner.

Luke's POV

This is all a very big mess.

I wait for everyone to be gathered up in the bull pen. Then I just get right down to business.

"Ok there a lot of huge misunderstandings going around so let's just settle everything right here, right now," I say while sitting down.

"First let's settle the Leia and Theo situation," I say with a bit of disgust. Even just saying the names Leia and Theo together gives me an unsettling feeling in my stomach. But see, Luke and Leia just roll off the tongue-

You have a girlfriend.

Who might have cheated on you.

"Well this morning I walked in and I overheard you talking about how much you like me," Leia claims at Theo.

"Wait what? What exactly did you hear?" Theo asks, confused.

"You were saying I have a really pretty voice and you love my curly, brown hair," she says while holding out her hair for everyone to examine. 

I mean none of those things are wrong.

"But I wasn't talking about you," he blurts out before clapping his hands over his mouth after realizing what he just said.

"But then who were you talki..." Leia trails off while she looks at everyone sitting in the circle. I start to look around too and the only other girl with curly brown hair is... Maggie.

"You like Maggie?" I try to say with betrayal, but I can't tell if I'm more disappointed Theo likes Maggie or if I'm more relieved that he doesn't like Leia. Jeez, I have got to get a grip on my feelings.

"Yeah. Sorry dude. I was never planning on doing anything about it thought, I promise," Theo says.

"It's true. He actually told me about his feelings earlier over the phone and we both agreed not to tell anyone and we would continue being friends," Maggie pipes up. 

"Ok. I trust you two," and I wasn't really worried in the first place. That's a problem isn't it?

"Wait. Theo were you sitting on a bench when you were telling Maggie how you feel?" Leia asks.

"Yeah. You were sitting next to me telling me something but I never got to ask what."

"Nothing important. Just know that that whole misunderstanding is all my fault," Leia says and then sighs.

"But onto the other thing. Leia, you said you saw John and Maggie confessing their feelings for each other?" I ask.

"Yeah. They were in the recording studio."

"I was with Michelle. I sang her a song I just wrote. How'd you see Maggie instead of Michelle?"

"Well I've never seen you two together and I didn't know Michelle. Also the windows are tinted so I think I saw the hairstyle and just assumed..." she trails off and looks away.

"It's not a problem, really," Michelle reassures her.

"Well I've seen you walk in a few times but I've always assumed you were a dancer. You look more like a dancer," Leia says.

"Nope. I've never done dance before," Michelle says before leaving the room along with everyone except for Leia.

Leia puts her head in her hands and says a muffled,"This was all my fault," before bursting into tears. I run over to her and hug her in comfort. I want to say it was nothing more than comfort, but that hug just felt so right. I think... I need to break up with Maggie.

Jude's POV

I walk away from the bull pen in pure confusion. What did I just hear? Maggie and Luke? And Leia and Theo? And John and Michelle? Those are all the wrong pairings. Besides John and Michelle I guess. But what is going on around here. First I hear that Eva's a new musician here and then this? I can't believe I'm about to even consider this but... did Theo's story actually come true? And why do I remember everything?
