"yes dear."

"do you miss touring?"

"very much so actually, being out on that stage performing to a crowd every night was everything i have ever wanted growing up."

"so why did you guys take a break?" you question him.

"we just need to find inspiration for songs again, enjoy time with loved ones and release a kick ass album in the future. why so many questions about this?" luke says while looking up at you from playing guitar.

"just curious is all." you say while giving him a smile.

"if you say so." he says before going back at the guitar.

ten minutes has passed and you were just looking at him with so much love that you were probably smiling like a fool.

"love you lucas." you tell him.

"love you too Y/N, but i hate when you call me lucas." he glances up at you.

"i know."

you missed this, missed being around luke and p, missed the happiness they bring you every time you are with them. you've been away for six months almost at university in germany, and even though its far away from your little family it's great when you get to come home.

"i really missed you, and im so sad i only get 2 days left and i have to go back. can i just quit now?"

"you are not quitting, you only have 3 months left and you're graduated and when those three months are up you will see me in that crowd watching you walk up on that stage and get that degree, and i couldn't be more proud of the girl who i love with everything i got."

"you nut, i love you and your little speeches." you say before leaning across the table to give him a kiss.

"i love you and your really smart brain." he says back at you before connecting your lips and enjoying this moment together.

and yeah maybe you go to university in germany but reunions like theses are the best kind of reunions. 

two day later

"bye baby, have a safe flight and call me as soon as you land. i love you with all my heart and in three months ill be there with you watching you graduate." luke says as he stops at the security line as he can't pass it. 

"i'm going to miss you so much. give p my love and make sure you hug her everyday for me. can't wait till you're in germany with me. i love you." you say while turning towards luke and hugging him really tight before kissing him. 

"okay, i got to go." you say before a tear rolled down your cheek. 

"please don't cry because if you cry, i will cry. and i don't want to cry in an airport right now." luke says while wiping the tears away. 

"i'm sorry, it's just that this visit wasn't long enough to be with my family." you say while giving him one last kiss before walking towards the line. 

"soon enough you'll be home with us again. love you *insert your nickname here*" luke says while walking away. 

and you can't help but wish the next three months by as fast as possible. 

nine hours later. 

you just got back to your dorm room and the first thing you did was FaceTime luke to let him know you are back in germany safely. 

four rings went in and then popped up a very sleepy boyfriend of yours. 

"oh gosh i forgot timezones baby, i just wanted to let you know im here safely." you say.

"that's okay baby, how was your flight?" luke questioned. 

"bad, i got delayed in new york for five hours and then my uber was running late when i got to germany and now im exhausted and i have class in five hours." you say while getting ready for bed quickly. 

"awe im sorry for the troubles today, me and p didn't do much today just relaxing and went for a run." 

"i'm already missing family relaxing time?" you question.

"already." luke says with a pout. 

and that's how the next 45 minutes went until you passed out and woke up to the sound of your alarm telling you that it was time for class. 

three months later. 

"Y/N" says the dean of the university. 

and you walked up on that stage, looked in the crowd and saw him there smiling at you and you smiled back at him. 

you couldn't believe this day is finally here and you were done with university, getting the degree in *insert university degree of chose here* and finally going home to your family. 

walking off the stage you go back to your seat and wait for the ceremony to be over. 

when it was finally over the first thing you did was go over to luke and your parents to hug them all, get a few pictures with them and just be with them again. 

"i can't believe i'm done." you say shocked. 

"you finally get to come home."
