Edmund's POV 💛

While I was in the kitchen looking for a snack that Lukari wanted to eat, I suddenly heard Zaia let out a terrified scream after something hitted the floor.

I stopped looking and immediately hurried over to the living room to see what's going on.

"Zaia! Is everything okay?!" I asked after hurrying in the living room and seeing her shaking in fear.

Zaia shook her head before pointing at the floor.

As I hurried over to the other side of the couch, I found Lukari lying on the floor, seemingly to be unconscious.

"What happened to her?" I asked Zaia worriedly before picking Lukari up and carrying her in my arms, bridal style.

"I-I don't know! She didn't seem to feel good and just sat down on the couch to rest. But, before I could do anything, she just suddenly fainted out of nowhere." Zaia explained.

I noticed that Lukari's daughter, Luka, was feeling scared because she was shaking just like how Zaia was.

Zaia noticed that and picked Luka up, telling her that it's gonna be okay, as she carried her in her arms.

"I'll take Lukari to the upstairs guest bedroom and lay her down. You go on ahead and contact Yachio. Maybe he can figure out what's going on." I said.

"Okay." Zaia replied.

Then she looked over at Luka and setted her down on the couch before getting those things that humans call a "phone" to contact Yachio.

I headed upstairs and went into the guest bedroom before laying Lukari down on the bed and tucking her in.

I kept a close watch on her just to make sure nothing else happens to her as well while Zaia's contacting Yachio.

Shortly after a bit, I heard the phone being hung up before Zaia headed upstairs.

"Yachio's on his way, Eddy..." Zaia says before she looked over and setted Luka down on the bed, nearby Lukari.

Luka crawled over to Lukari and lied down next to her before burying her face into Lukari's neck as she pulled her into a hug.

"Mama...Please. Open your eyes so we know you're okay." Zaia and I heard her say. "We can't lose you again after we just got you back..."

Tears appeared in Luka's eyes and ran down to the sides of her face as she sniffed a little after she said that.

"Please...Mama..."

I heard a knock on the door and told Zaia to keep an eye on Lukari while I head downstairs to answer the door.

After she told me she's okay with that, I hurried downstairs and answered the door, seeing Yachio standing there.

"Where's Lukari and Luka?" Yachio asked as I letted him in.

"She's upstairs. Zaia's with her to keep an eye out for anything else that might happen." I answered before leading him upstairs and into the guest bedroom that the girls are at.

Yachio's face paled a little as he noticed Lukari in the bed.

Luka was next to her, worried, as she gazed at Lukari.

"Lukari!" He says before hurrying over to her.

Lukari didn't respond, lying there still, as Yachio picked up her paw and rested it on his cheek.

"What happened to her?" Yachio asked.

After Zaia explained, Yachio had no words to say.

"This wasn't suppose to happen to Lukari..." He began.

Me and Zaia were confused for a second.

"Lukari told me that she's okay when she came back to see us again. And she didn't have any wound injuries either. I've double-checked. Twice." Yachio explained.

"Well...Except her neck."

Then he suddenly realized what it is that might've caused Lukari to pass out.

He moved Lukari's head to the left and moved her hair away from the left side of her neck, revealing a pitch black pentagram mark.
