Zathei's POV

The shiny Lucario nodded her head as she looked at me.

"Yes. I wanted to talk to you both about something..." She replied.

"What is it?" Xoph asked.

"I want to join you both." She said.

Me and Xoph grew shocked but suspicious.

"Why?" I asked.

"I want to join you two because a few days ago, someone killed a very close friend of mine. I want to get stronger than them in order to succeed in killing them and showing my justice.

I want revenge on them so bad, I'm willing to do it for the sake and under Arceus' name." The shiny Lucario said.

Me and Xoph looked at each other.

"Can we talk in private about this for a moment?" I asked the shiny Lucario.

"Sure. I'll be standing near the water fountain while I wait for your answer." She says before leaving and making her way to the water fountain.

Then she leaned against the wall before taking out a pair of headphones out and putting them on as she began listening to her music while chewing on a piece of gum and looking around her surroundings.

"So. What do you think?" Xoph asked.

I started thinking, putting some thought into it.

That shiny Lucario has the smell of danger on her. And she has death in her eyes, just by looking at them.

"Let's see how skilled she is. Like in combat for example. That'll confirm whether or not she can join us." I suggested.

"If she does join us, we can trick her and have her captured...Who knows what Master might do. It's our mission anyways to catch shiny pokémon."

"Good idea." Xoph replied as he nodded again.

Lukari's POV

As I leaned against the wall, I looked over at Xoph and Zathei while they were talking to each other.

I've heard every single word in their conversation, making me grin a little wickedly.

"They think I didn't hear anything at all and assumed I was listening to music because of the headphones." I thought to myself.

"They plan on tricking and capturing me...All because I'm a shiny pokémon, huh?"

I chuckled a little silently.

"Let the games begin, Xoph and Zathei...Let the games begin..."

I suddenly noticed that they want to see me after making a gesture.

I took out my iPiplup and paused the music before removing my headphones and putting them away.

Then I made my way back over to them.

"Sure. We'll let you join once we see how skilled you are. Your skills will determine in whenever or not you're worthy in joining us." Zathei said.

"Okay." I replied. "Show me what you two got once we head outside."

Xoph smirked before Zathei began to lead me the way after we left Staryubucks.

-Outside-

I looked at Zathei as we arrived at our destined location that she said that's where we should go in order to test my skills and see if I'm worthy to join them.

I cracked my knuckles before doing the same to my neck, getting myself ready for anything.

"So...How do we start this?" I asked as I looked at Xoph and Zathei.

"The first thing we're gonna do is see if you can hit Xoph's arrows 20 times without getting wounded." Zathei said as Xoph made a good distance between us.

"Hah! This is gonna be a piece of cake." I thought to myself, hiding my grin. "I've done this several times before."

"That's gonna be hard." I said, acting like I've never done this before.

Zathei smirked.

"Then good luck with that, kid..." She says before walking a few inches away from me, so she doesn't get hit by the arrows by accident.

I looked at Xoph and saw him get ready.
