Then I laid Luka down on her bed before giving her the plushie she liked so much, as I grabbed a blanket and tucked her in.

After doing that, I left her room as I turned the lights off and quietly closed the door behind me.

After I left, I headed downstairs and went over to the kitchen to get a light snack.

As I was heading back over to the living room, passing by the hallway that leads to our backyard, I suddenly heard Lucas and Kaito talking.

Being very silent, careful not to make any noise, I snuck out into the backyard to eavesdrop on Lucas and Kaito's conversation with each other...

Just out of curiosity to see what they were doing while the moon was at its fullest and since the stars were out, shining brightly tonight.

I snuck into the bushes before peeking out to see what's going on.

"So....Why did you want to see me here for, Lucas?" Kaito asked curiously.

"I wanted to apologize for not being able to get you a Valentine's Day gift since I didn't have any money and my paycheck, from work, came in late....

I know that it's been by two months since Valentine's Day arrived but it made me feel really ashamed of myself.

Because, I feel that you hardly gotten anything on your birthday and on the holidays ever since you were a pre-evolution pokémon 16 years ago." Lucas explained.

Kaito nodded in understanding.

Then Lucas sighed a bit before he started rubbing the back of his head a little as he brought out a box of chocolates and the thornless roses from behind his back, with a Valentine's Day card in addition to the gift as well.

Kaito gasped and covered her mouth in shock.

"So, I promised myself that I'd get you a gift, since it was past Valentine's Day, and that's what I did." Lucas finished before he handed the box of chocolates, the Valentine's Day card, and the roses to Kaito.

Kaito turned around and setted her gifts down, against the sakura tree before she ran over and hugged Lucas tightly.

Lucas blushed as he hugged Kaito back.

"Happy Belated Valentine's Day, Kaito...I love you very much." Lucas says as he smiled warmly.

"I love you too, Lucas..." Kaito replied as tears of joy began to appear in her eyes and run down to the sides of her face.

After Lucas and Kaito remained hugging each other tightly, for a bit, they eventually parted and smiled.

Then they kissed under the sakura tree as the full moon shone brightly at its fullest on Lucas and Kaito.

I felt so emotional and very happy as I watched the entire scene happen.

My own son has found the perfect girl for him.

And their first kiss was under the sakura tree while the light of the full moon shone on them.

I'll call that the "Moonlight Kiss".

"Lucas...I'm so happy that I met you when we were 14. If it weren't for you...

I would've suffered the same horrible thing over again, just like it did back at my old school." Kaito says after she and Lucas parted from their kiss.

"Now, don't say that, Kaito...I don't want you to feel upset and hurt anytime you mention that...

It'll break my heart more if you say that next time and start to go into tears." Lucas replied as he shushed Kaito gently while he hugged her again.

"If we're still in love in the near future and we got married, then raised a family of our own...I will always protect you and our future children with my life. Okay?"

Kaito nodded, understanding what Lucas was talking about.

I silently chuckled a bit at those words.
