My boyfriend is a witch part 2
Note: there's no offical birthdays for the characters but based on a calendar seen in the show we can assume Adrien's birthday is somewhere around around September 4th (making him a Virgo). And as for Luka we got absolutely nothing so I'm just gonna make it up based on vibes lol. He feels like a march baby to me.
Well, the cards were right. Boy oh boy had Adrien gone THROUGH IT recently with his father. But just as predicted, it passed. He was stressed from everything but definitely doing better and now that cycle was over he felt like he could finally move on with life. What happened? Essentially he had an awakening that yes, his dad WAS abusing him. The rose tinted sunglasses were shattered, he saw Gabriel for who he really was now. Thanks to Lukas lucky charm and Nathalie defending him, he felt he could stand up for himself now.
Even though he was still stuck in the household for a bit longer, there was a considerable amount of space between him and his father now and he could focus on moving on and healing. That wasn't all though, the lovers card had really meant lovers. During the cool-down of a heated argument with his father, he obviously turned to Luka who was immediately offering to hex the bitch. How quickly Luka jumped to his defence made Adrien realise something.
It was him. The whole time, it was Luka. He wasn't just going to him for help, he was going to him because he wanted to be near him all the time. He wanted to be close to Luka and feel protected and loved by him. He was such a gentle soul and so kind that Adrien craved his hugs and long personal chats on the daily. He loved him, so deeply. He just didn't realise it because he'd over ever liked girls before, and well, Luka definitely wasn't one.
Today, they were going to meet up and hang out. Do that hex they talked about. It was easy to get something of Gabriel's to use for the hex, since Adrien literally lived under the same roof at him. Adrien didn't tell Nathalie about the hex, just in case. But he did tell her that he was going to give Luka something in return for the charm, she caught on pretty quick.
So when she dropped him off, she gave him a reassuring smile and a good luck. It made the blond happy to know someone he saw as a parent was on his side here.
The boys spent the morning stabbing the absolute shit out of a cucumber with all the sharp objects they could, drenching it in sour and spicy ingredients, tethering it to Gabriel's likeness and tying that shit up as tight as possible. Taking out all the anger he has built up for everyone his pathetic excuse of a father had done to him. Luka seemed rather pleased with how passionate Adrien was getting stabbing those rusty nails into it. The only thing left was to burry it far away, and Luka knew the place.
So they took his bike out to the forested area outside the city, buried it and finally the hex was done.
Leaning on the handle of the shovel, Adrien sighed, it felt like there was a weight lifted off his chest.
"Those cards are way to accurate. The last few months were a wreck..." he muttered.
"It's over now, he'll feel the pain. Send me updates I want to see it in action" Luka replied.
"Thanks for this, I know a lot of witches are hesitant on hexes"
"Abusers deserve it. Not all baneful work is bad, you just have to be careful when doing it so it doesn't backfire. But we'll be fine, I mean I practically bathed you in that protection spell"
"I'm gonna smell like rosemary for the rest of my life now" Adrien laughed.
Who knew witchcraft could be so fun? Maybe he'd have to start getting into it himself. Luka had taught him a lot.
"While we're out here we may as will get some stuff for the alter, foraging is fun" Luka said.
"It is, I used to collect rocks with mum whenever she took me to the park as a kid" Adrien replied.
"Same, rocks are fun. Especially shiny ones"
Like a couple of crows the two were off, looking for pretty things amongst the brush. Flowers, sticks, rocks, nuts, anything that could be used in a spell or as decoration for the altar.
"You know that charm really works wonders, I swear I've had better luck. Haven't been late to anything, haven't lost anything..." Adrien said.
"I know my way around a charm what can I say? It's my favourite kind of spell, I like ones you can actually see and use daily" Luka replied.
"Magic arts and crafts"
"Exactly"
Being a generational witch Luka knew pretty much everything there was to know. His mother taught him and his sister since birth, his grandmother too, several generations of his family had centuries worth of knowledge on folk magic. Some people were just naturally more drawn to it, and they seemed to have an inherent eye for the mystical. His mother always commented on how good Lukas intuition was, that gut feeling he got about something was almost never wrong. To an almost psychic level, he could just pick up on the surrounding energies so naturally well.
And from the moment he met Adrien, he could feel the warmth radiating off him like Apollo's rays of sunlight. He has such a bright and positive aura, but it had been so shrouded with darkness thanks to his father. Lately though, Luka noticed that darkness starting to lift, Adrien's true light starting to shine through. Now Adrien knew how shit his dad was, and had started sticking up for himself, he was glowing.
It was great to see, Luka loved watching Adrien grow not just physically and mentally, but spiritually. He could feel just how much more peaceful Adrien was becoming with himself.
"What's your brith flower by the way?" Adrien spoke up.
"Daffodil, yours would be morning glory I think" Luka replied.
"If I'm not mistaken, that right there is a daffodil"
Adrien pointed down at the patch of wildflowers growing off the side of the pathway, amongst them was indeed a few daffodils.
"You'd be correct" Luka said.
Reaching down and picking one off the stem, Adrien slipped it behind Lukas ear with a smile.
"There, daffodil magic" he said.
Luka smiled, finding his attempts to support his craft cute.
"I gotta find you a morning glory now" Luka smiled.
The two continued through the Forrest, picking up cool rocks and sticks to use, checking patches of clovers for any with four leaves. They passed by a fairy ring, careful not to step inside it but observed in curiosity. The sounds of the city had faded by now, the trail they followed now rather deep into the forest. It was just them, the birds and the trees. There was something healing about being out in nature on a nice warm day.
"Hey... thank you for everything by the way" Adrien spoke up.
"Don't mention it, I'll always have your back" Luka replied.
"Maybe the universe pushed us together for a reason, I feel like we were always meant to meet. You're the only person that's connected this deeply with me you know? Like... I feel closer to you than I do to anyone else"
"Me too, perhaps we're twin flames, or soulmates"
Even though soulmate didn't always mean lover, Adrien still blushed at the thought. Because to him, it did feel like a lover.
"Morning glory, found one!" Luka said, stopping in his tracks seeing the flowers just beside the path.
He picked one out, placing it behind Adrien's ear. Tucking his hair around the stem and giving him a warm smile.
"There, morning glory magic" he said.
Adrien smiled back, feeling Lukas hand still hovering behind his ear in his hair. The two of them were caught in a trance for a moment, just staring at each other. They both knew what the other was thinking, it was just a matter of who'd say it first.
"Do you... do you think when I pulled the lovers card... it meant you?" Adrien finally spoke, nerves going wild inside him.
"You know... I think it did, I think there's a reason I was the one that pulled it for you" Luka replied.
Like two magnets, they were immediately drawn together. Luka caressing Adrien's cheek just under the flower and bringing him in. Their lips touched oh so gently, sharing the most Devine moment away from the prying eyes of the cameras or fans of Adrien, no family to interrupt them. As they kissed, the clouds passing by the sun dispersed and the warmth of its rays shone down on them. Through the trees above them, as if it were a spotlight.
Luka couldn't help but feel this was Apollos way of saying congratulations, he was a very bisexual god himself after all.
That sun was just as bright and warm as Adrien's energy felt right now. He was beaming. Because he finally, has his lover.
