Adrien always knew he wanted kids one day when he was older, Luka didn't mind the idea but he didn't care if he stayed childless either. So when 'older' finally came around and the two had lived adult lives for many years now, one by one their friends started getting married, having kids, all that adult stuff.

And it had Adrien thinking about his mum... how if she was still alive, he'd be turning to her for advice right now. He was no contact with his dad, so that was out of the question. Not that Gabriel was a good parent anyway... who'd want advice from him? And while Nathalie did help with what she could, she'd only helped raise Adrien when he was a bit older. All the baby stuff was his mothers doing.

So Adrien was at that stage of adulthood he was hit with major baby fever, but didn't have a clue what to do about it.

For one, his partner was also a man. Neither of them had the hardware to go about it the natural way. And for two, he was... honestly scared. As much as he badly wanted to be a dad, he was also terrified he'd be a bad one. That his own scuffed upbringing would effect his judgement and he'd accidentally repeat the cycles of abuse he'd had to endure without even knowing it. He was lost on what to do here.

He'd been staring blankly at the roof for a while now, just thinking about everything. Only noticing how long he'd been in his own head when he heard Luka finally enter the room after spending forever washing his now long (but still box dyed) hair.

"You're still staring at the roof?" He snickered.

"Thinking..." Adrien muttered.

"Wow, rare for you" Luka joked.

Adrien playfully scoffed and rolled his eyes, taking the nearest pillow and whacking Luka with it for that comment. Luka turned on his bedside lamp, climbing into bed next to Adrien.

"Seriously though what are you so focused on?" He asked.

"This is going to be blunt as hell, please don't freak out" Adrien replied.

Luka gave him a curious look, that was... an ominous response.

"I want a baby. Like... badly. And yes I know we're both men so that's one hurdle to jump over..." the blonde sighed.

Luka actually wasn't that shocked, more so by the fact Adrien was blunt about it. He knew Adrien had always wanted kids, that was something they talked about way back when they started dating as teenagers. Something they went 'eh, we're kids ourselves. Figure that out later' about. But, 'later' was now. They were adults now, around the age people usually start thinking about marriage, kids, all that stuff. And while by now means did anyone HAVE to do that, Adrien did want to.

"I mean adoption, surrogacy all that kinda stuff are options. It'd be a matter of if you want the kid to be biologically ours or not" Luka replied.

"Wait so... you'd be cool with it?" Adrien said, sitting up to talk properly.

"With you? Absolutely. I'd literally die for you Adrien, if you want a kid, so do I. And I'd die for them too"

Adrien cracked a smile, he could always count on Luka to be a massive simp for him. And he had no doubt Luka would be an amazing dad, his mother raised him very well, and despite his father being absent the first half of his life, they did manage to smooth things over. Not to mention if they ever needed a babysitter, Juleka and Rose would jump at the chance. So would the twins mum.

"I want this so badly but... I dunno, I'm scared to actually do it..." Adrien muttered.

"What? Why? Haven't you always wanted kids?" Luka asked.

"Yes but... I don't want to fuck them up into... myself. I'm still a wreck from dads bullshit, I know how badly it effects a person firsthand. And how easy it is to permanently damage a child... they're so fragile when they're young. I don't want to... unconsciously repeat the cycle you know? I feel like I'd get too overwhelmed and slip up or something"

While Luka understood the fear, and it was valid for a victim to feel extra anxious over things like this, he knew Adrien was just overthinking. He couldn't ever picture Adrien becoming his dad, they were two worlds apart.

"But you're also Cat Noir... the superhero who's always saving kids and keeping them calm in the chaos. Who the team dumps the rescued kids with to keep safe because we all know you'll handle them best. You're naturally good with kids Adrien, and that really shows through your actions as Cat Noir" Luka assured.

"They're not my kids though, it's not like I'm around them 24/7-"

"Adrien-"

Luka took his shoulders, giving him an assuring squeeze and maintaining eye contact. If there was eye contact, it was serious. Adrien was never really good with eye contact, so Luka never forced it. But when he did maintain it, that's when it was serious.

"You are not your father. Far from it. The fear of repeating the cycle is valid, most people in your position would feel that way. But I promise you, you WILL be an amazing dad. No harm would EVER come to our baby as long as you're there to protect them. And I'd be the first to point out any tips or changes to parenting techniques you may need to adjust. No one knows how their kid will develop until you're actually watching them grow up before your eyes, being nervous about it all is normal. But we learn, we adjust, we try. You will be a good dad Adrien. And if it's a baby you want, I'll give you that... you know through a method two men can actually do" Luka assured.

Adrien sighed, giving Luka a smile. Somehow, he couldn't stop falling deeper and deeper in love with the man. He always knew exactly what to do and say, and exactly how to ease those nagging anxieties.

"Thank you..." he smiled.

"I love you, and whoever our baby ends up becoming. I'll love them too" Luka replied.

Adrien leaned into his arms, holding him close in an tight hug. He couldn't imagine being with anyone other than Luka, the other parent of his child being anyone but him. He hoped whatever option they took, the baby would take on Luka's best traits and become a little rock star just like his dad.

"And hey just because neither of us can get pregnant doesn't mean we can't try really fucking hard-" Luka joked.

Adrien snickered, giving him a gentle whack for that one.

"You just wanna sleep with me" he retorted.

"Maybe... why are you rejecting the idea?"

"No... just hoping you know that when we DO have a baby to care for we'll both be way too exhausted for that" Adrien chuckled.

"Well we better get it out of our system now then shouldn't we?"
