Chapter 2
Now the companions had been running through Moria for three days and I had never found a chance to grab the ring because the wizard had divided layers and never all slept. And even if I did, I was too exhausted every time to steal anything else. Now I had to get rid of not only the Elves, but also the wizard. Actually, the easiest thing would be to kill them all and then grab the ring, but they all seemed to be pretty good warriors. Even the Hobbits had a certain talent. The companions had apparently decided to take a break again, because they stopped. I was very grateful to them for this, because I was already very weak again. I was looking for a dark corner, as I had always done in the three days, so that I could rest and take my normal form. I watched as one of the halflings, his name peretin or something, pushed an old corpse into a well, and one heard dull, loud drum beats. It was quiet for a short time, but then I heard, like the others, loud noises, and roars. I knew there was orcs here and I got an idea. The orcs stormed towards the companions, but they locked themselves in the small chamber. There were not a few orcs, so they quickly smashed the door. I saw a few smaller orcs at the end of the hall, they were goblins; smaller and weaker, but in the group they could be dangerous. The companions were struggling with the orcs and the troll, so I took the chance and ran towards the Goblins with a goal. When I discovered myself, they looked at me, but I just looked at them very strictly and they fell silent. "Before any questions come, Sauron has sent me and you better do what I tell you." They stared at me speechless, but then one of the orcs raised his voice: "azuzizgu golugu! (we kill the Elves!)" " " kulizig gothurz! (I'm powerful)," I told him. They looked at me perplexed. "azuzizgu sharku (you kill the old man)," I said, pointing to the wizard, "should he survive." I thought briefly. "Where," I added, "just hold it tight. I want to negotiate with them first." The Goblins nodded a little irritated, but I knew they didn't really believe me, but what to do, otherwise I had a problem. They crawled back into their holes. By now, the companions had defeated the troll and killed the Orcs. They all went to the one half-ling who should have been dead and pitied him. However, it turned out that he was wearing a Mithril chain shirt, so he had not suffered any serious injuries. I watched it all from a distance and standing in the dark. But when they helped the hobbit and ran out of the chamber, and you could speak of running, I hid behind one of the big pillars, in case the Goblins thought they didn't have to listen to me, which wouldn't end well for them. Luckily, the Goblins kept to the deal and came out of their holes in droves and surrounded the troupe. A smile scurried across my face. Once again, it was too easy. Just as I was thinking this thought, I heard a dull quake. I looked around irritated in the direction. There was a bright, red, fiery light. The Goblins apparently knew what it was and were looking for the vastness. Even the magician knew what it was and he was afraid of it. The light became more and a roar came from the direction. It was a Balrog, one of the few who was still alive. "Run!" the magician shouted and I quickly turned into a mouse again. The companions started to walk down a narrow staircase, which was not practical for me, because as a mouse I could find it very difficult to unseen and quickly get down so many steps. Luckily, they had to concentrate so much on the way, so that I stayed a little behind, but went unnoticed. When the stairs were finally over, we went over a sprainless staircase and the Goblins reappeared. I saw that a piece of the bridge was missing and a gap opened up. I started running faster, hoping i could cling to someone, but the brown-haired man with the hobbit wearing the Mithril shirt jumped off last. Now I just saw one possibility. Hoping that no one noticed me, I turned into a bat, hoping it wouldn't stand out. It didn't, but when I was in the middle of the air, I was almost hit by an arrow of the Goblins. Luckily, I was just able to dodge. As soon as I was on the safe ground and turned into a mouse again, I set out to get behind the companions as quickly as possible. Somehow, I managed to catch up and was now almost right behind them. Only the sorcerer was still behind me and I followed them. We crossed a kind of bridge which was more a piece of long, narrow stone. When we reached the other side I walked away a bit from the companions so that I was not discovered. When I looked back to the group, I saw that the wizard was fighting the Balrog and the others were all watching in dismay. In me a little hope crept up, which the magician counted his days and I finally got rid of him. And indeed, after he had sent the Balrog into the abyss, he thought it was over, but he was mistaken, for the Balrog dragged him into the depths with his whip. A small smile was simmering over my face. The force was stunned, but eventually left the mines. I followed them, of course, inconspicuously.
Once outside, the hobbits sat down and began howling. It would take longer, so I looked that I came away from them a bit to turn back. I would need the strength if it went on.
In fact, they didn't really take long, and I decided not to transform myself at all, but to follow at a great distance. You might find this reckless, but I felt safe and they were too shocked by Gandalf's death anyway. There came a while bare wasteland where I had to be very careful not to be seen, but none of the companions looked around and I could follow them relaxed. Then came a small piece of meadow and finally they came to a forest, which was perfect, because there I could move around undisturbed and hide without depriving myself of my strength.
Okay here is the second part ^^ we hope you like it.
