A Dragon?
Lucy's POV
Once I arrived at the train station, I went and got myself a train ticket. "A ticket to the Hearrtfillia Mansion, please?" I politely asked. He handed me a ticket, and I stepped into the train. For some reason, I felt as if I was pulled by an invisible force to go there. Perhaps, it's my sixth sense or something. I felt as though there was something important waiting there for me to come. As the train continues to move, I could feel my eyelids dropping down. They were heavy, and soon I lost conscious. Once I woke up, we were pulling into my stop and I quickly gathered my things and strolled out of the train. As soon as I arrived at my destination, I quickly realized something was wrong. Everything was different. The plants that were once bright and lively are now dry and died. The entire place was silent and lonely, it used to be so lively and loud. I wasn't sure what to think, the place where I was raised had completely done a 180.
I had gone into the forest to train, to make myself stronger. Stronger to make them regret what they said about me and what they did to me. However, something made me stop. My eyes widen as my mind went blank. There was this creature with golden scales that sparkles in multiple colors in the sunlight. I couldn't be completely sure but I believe based on what I see, it was a dragon. What made me doubt what I saw, was the fact that dragons were all supposed to be dead or disappeared to somewhere else. I continued to star at it with my jaws still on the floor. Not being able to compute what I was seeing. I rubbed my eyes to make sure that I wasn't just imagining it. Perhaps something's wrong with my eyes today.
I stood there for a couple of minutes, staring at it. I soon snapped out of it when I realized something. Something that I missed because of my stupidity. It was injured, it wasn't resting because it was tired. It was laying down on the ground because it was severely injured all around. Instead of continuing to be astonished at it, I decided to pull out a medical kit that I carry around me ever since Lisanna came back and trampled all over my life. Once I was finished, the dragon spoke.
"Thank you for helping me, but who are you and why are you here?" Suspicion was laced into the words.
"My name is Lucy Heartfillia and I'm here to train to get stronger to prove people that they were wrong about me," I said, my eyes filled with determination. The atmosphere quickly became so thick that I could probably cut it with a butter knife.
"I am so sorry, I was so rude to you. I didn't realize you were the one. I finally found you, princess" they said, bowing their head.
"Um... it's okay, but what do you mean by the one and that you finally found me? Why are you calling me princess?" My head was swarmed by questions and I wanted answers. This dragon had just met me but it says it was looking for me? Why me? It's not like I'm anything special.
"You don't know? You are the heir to the throne of the dragon realm," they said confusion flooding their eyes. Their eyes flicker side to side thinking about what they had just heard.
"Oh... Alright," I muttered, trying to grasp the situation. A couple of seconds later, I realized what was said to me and I exploded. "Wait... What?!? What do you mean by the heir?"
"Princess, please, with all due respect, lower your voice. People may hear us or at least it may damage my ears."
"Oh... I'm sorry. It's just a lot to take in right now. Hold on... I'm not related to anyone who used dragon slayer magic, not to mention a ruler of a realm."
"It's quite alright, but you are mistaken. If you don't mind me saying at least. Your mother, Layla Heartfilla is the queen of the realm." My eyes widen even more at that information. t couldn't possibly be that my mother is alive because she died when I was still a child. "She didn't actually die that day," they said, answer my unspoken question.
Then something struck me, I still don't know its name even after all this time. "I'm sorry to interrupt your explanation, but who are you and what element do you control?" I awkwardly asked.
"Right, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Celeste, the Celestial dragon. Please come with me now, princess. There's not much time left," she uttered as she opened a portal, pulling me in with her. I shut my eyes shut and bit my lips so hard till it almost bleeds.
I slowly open my eyes after I felt my legs hit a solid setting. I let out a breath that I was subconsciously holding in. I allowed my heart to calm down to its normal speed, by breathing almost returning back to normal. Now that I was a lot calmer, I was able to admire the beauty of the place I was dragged into.
The sky was a blend of blue and pink, creating a shade of purple between them. There were multiple islands coating the sky. From my distance, they looked like sparkles in the sky, as it was just part of the background. Dragons were soaring across the sky, millions of them, and I could see a castle in front of me. It was enormous. As if many people lived there.
I looked to my right and instead of Celeste, I see this woman with sparkling gold hair. Perfectly catching and shinning in the reflection of the sun. I tilted my head in confusion since just a second ago, Celeste was standing there. The woman turned her head and looked at me. She smiled and said, "shall we go now, princess?" Her voice was similar to Celeste's but it can't possibly be her since Celeste is a dragon.
"Um... excuse me, but who are you and where is Celeste?" I asked. She giggled a bit to herself before responding.
"Princess, I am Celeste."
"But I thought you were a dragon?"
"Dragons have human forms as well that way we can enter the human realm without standing out, she explained softly. I nodded my head and we began to walk towards the castle. Where my mother supposedly is according to Celeste.
