:::Chapter 3: The New Sign:::

:::Lucy's POV:::

Katie led Laxus and I into a magical forest. Laxus had put me on his back to let me sleep, I happily did so!

:::Laxus' POV:::

Lucy slept soundly on my back with her head resting against my upper back. I only found out she was my little sister two years ago, bit it feels like she's been with me forever. Her and Katie seem to get along well.... maybe I can marry Katie and Lucy will have a sister in law. "So, Laxus. When I was last here,you didn't have a 17 year old sister?" Katie questioned as we sat in a circle of blossoming sakura trees.

"Lucy Heartfilia Dreyar... Lu was born when I was six, mum died while giving birth to her... Dad said he couldn't do it so he gave her to the Heartfilia family. I knew about her but it left my mind when Dad was so strict, gramps had taken me in and I was in charge of the guild when he was gone, which was quite a bit," I explained as the love of my life- I mean Katie, leant in, looking more intrigued with every word I said.

"Two years ago, gramps told me that Lucy was my long lost sister, so I started treating her differently than before I knew about us. We live together now but we might have to move from Magnolia... by the way, which guild are we going to now?" I asked as she sprung up, telling me she hadn't gotten that far into her plans.

"I was considering Mermaid Heel, but that's an all girls guild. Lamia Scale could be fun.... no, no, no, no, no, no! We'll join Sabertooth! They have a new Master!" Katie pointed her finger to the sky with the idea. I smiled warmly at her funny antics. "Oh! Oh! We also need a hand sign, like Fairy Tail had, except..... better!" Katie jumped around, making Lu groan a bit. I pointed my two fingers at her in a rock position (🤘🏻). It was what we did as little kids when we wanted eachother to be quiet.

"That's it! That can be the sign!" She whisper shouted. I chuckled lightly and nodded at her. I lied down and Lu snuggled up to my arm, using it as a teddy bear. I used my other arm to hug her tightly to my body. I know that she was unstable, emotionally, mentally and physically. "I love you big brother," I heard her say in her sleep. "I love you too, Lu" I stroked her head as I closed my eyes, so I could fall asleep.

:::Timeskip:::Morning:::

I woke up to hear Lu snoring lightly, sprawled out across the warm, damp grass. I also saw Katie, pacing around looking extremely tired and worried. "Are you okay, Katie?" I asked her. "....I'm fine" she said with a frown on her face. "Tell me the truth." I demanded as I looked into her clouded eyes. "Fine, I'm just worried about Lucy... she needs to get stronger. I'm thinking this because, last night, bandits came and tried to take her away. She needs to be more alert." Katie kept pacing back and forth. I stood up while her back was to me, silently walked up behind her and hugged her. I could feel her body receive a little bit of a jump. Her eyes widened when I breathed on her neck.

I turned her around and gave her a long passionate kiss. She instantly joined in with no objections. That's when we heard Lu yawning and waking up. Katie pulled away and we faced Lu with radiant smiles across our faces.

:::Lucy's POV:::

*Yawn* "Morning guys!" I said happily. "Lu.... we need you to start trying to learn your Star Dresses." Laxus said with Katie nodding, with blush spread across her face?"W-why? That takes really strong connections with your spirits... I know I have that but... where would I start?" I asked, surprise evident in my voice.

"Which spirit is your connection strongest with?" Katie asked. "Aquarius! I've had her since I was little." I said as if it wasn't even a question. "Call Aquarius then," Katie nodded towards a beautiful, sparkling waterfall that led into a large pond.

My eyes sparkled with amazement as I nodded unconsciously. I headed over to the pond and knelt down on the luscious grass. "I call upon, gate of The Water Bearer! Aquarius!" "Whadya' want brat?" Aquarius barked. "I'm trying to learn the Star Dresses, and you're my closest spirit. Please let me!?" I pleaded.

I saw her relax and pout a bit, which I was excited about. She was gonna let me do it! "Fine." She said grumpily.
