Time skip a 5 years..

Lucy POV..

I was walking to the guild happy and cheerfully like I usually do. Gray-Nii and Erza-Nee often leave early so I would go to the guild later on. Time passed by fast. it's been 5 years since my first birthday here at the guild. In that time Mira and Erza became S-Class wizards. Every time it was someones birthday it became a tradition that we would do a performance.

Me, Natsu and Lisanna officially became a team. Of course we could never leave out Happy. We still went on jobs mostly for Happy and Natsu, but we still got some of our pay. I bust open the door.

"Ohayo Minna!" I yell out full of joy as usual.

"Ohayo!" The guild said in response. I look around the guild to try to find Lisanna or Natsu. Sadly I couldn't. I went over to my best bookworm friend, Levy. No surprise she was reading a book.

"Hey Lev have you seen Lis-Chan or Natsu anywhere?" I ask her.

"No sorry Lu-Chan. I think they may have went to the park." I thanked her and went straight to the park.

At Mognolia Park..

Natsu and Happy were having an argument. I went to them laughing.

"Natsu what are you arguing about?" I ask.

"Natsu says he won't get me any fish." Happy says in a whiny tone.

"Natsu how are you going to get a wife if your going to act like that." Said a white haired mage.

"Lisanna!" Both me and Natsu say at the same time.

"Want to go on a job?" I ask her eagerly.

"Sorry Lu-Chan. Me and my siblings are going on our first S-Class job together." I felt a little sad. But I knew Lisanna needed the experience. I just felt bad for Natsu; he hadn't went on an S-Class job before.

"Lisanna let's get going." Mirajane yelled out.

"Hey why can't I come?" Natsu whined.

"No way. It's just going to be me Mira-Nee and Lis." Elfman said. Mirajane's attitude had rubbed of on Elfman. Though he hates Natsu more then Erza-Nee. Mirajane has this weird thing where she thinks Natsu is cute when he cries or whines.

"At least before you go can I make a promise." Lisanna giggled when I said that. We would always keep promises to each other.

"Just one before I go."

"Promise me when we become an S-Class we will all go on a job together. And promise me to come home." I say holding out my hand.

"I promise." She said as she shook my hand.

"Come on." Elfman said annoyed

"You two better behave when I get back. Keep an eye on each other ok." Lisanna says as she hugs me. I felt sad. Most of the S-Class jobs could take weeks. Though it took so long it was well the worth of money.

"Your not our mom Lisanna. If anything I am more older than you." Natsu said. I then whacked the back of his head. Lis and Happy just laughed.

"But we are still family. See you in a few weeks." She then bid her final fairwell.

"Come on Natsu lets go to the guild." I convince Natsu and Happy.

They nodded in agreement. For the rest of the day all I did was it around either talking to Levy about the newest book or reading it. I didn't feel like going on a job and thankfully Natsu understood that. Gray-Nii and Erza-Nee were to get back from an S-Class job. I didn't want to have leave Natsu if Lisanna were to go on an S-Class job. Mirajane had planned about going on her very first one with all her siblings ever since she became an S-Class mage. I had went on one a year ago when Erza-Nee became S-Class.

When the day ended I went back to my place with Natsu and Happy. We decided to have a sleep over. We often did that if either mine or Lisanna's siblings went on a job without us. I went on made dinner as Natsu and Happy got changed. They weren't fond of showers. When I had finished making dinner I went to take a relaxing bath. It was something I needed to end the day.

After dinner and a game of Babanuki, (A japanese card game.) we got ready for bed. I sang a little song to calm our minds before hand.

Once I had finished singing Natsu and Happy had already fallen aleep. I laid my head down and drifted of asleep as well.

Time skip 1 week..

It's been a week since Lisanna left for her job. In that time me and Natsu went on a few short jobs. Erza-Nee and Gray-Nii came back from their job.

I was super excited today becauase today was the day the Strauss siblings were to return. I have been planning for their return for a while now.

I was enjoying a good cup of strawberry milkshake. You could hear Natsu and Gray-Nii arguing with each other. It was annoying at times but it was the prime amusement of the guild that day. I see Erza-Nee was eating her cake. Beside was Levy enjoying her book. I could see Jet and Droy were there to.

On the other side of the guild was Cana, Wakaba and Macao were having a drinking contest. Although Cana is well underage, she still drinks. She is known as Fairy Tails heaviest drinker. Heck she could drink barrels worth of booze and still be fine.

It started to rain. I wish it didn't because today was meant to be happy but everyday was a blessing so I just accepted it. I did enjoy that it was colder seeing it was summer.

"Lu-Chan you've been really quite, something the matter?" Levy asked me.

"No I was just thinking. You know what I think I'll go out for a little bit." I say as I sipped the last bit of my milkshake. Levy nodded and went of.

I took my purple umbrella and walked out. It was such a nice sight to see. I walked around aimlessly my thoughts racing around everywhere.

Time skip.. 

Natsu POV..

I had left to find Lucy. Levy said she went out for a walk. After looking all over town I went back to the guild. When I did she still hadn't arrived. Just as I was about to go back out the guild doors open. I hoped it was Lucy but then I realised it wasn't.

It was Mirajane and Elfman. They had bandages wrapped around a few body parts. I was glad they got back. I looked closer and I noticed Lisanna wasn't there.

"Where is Lis?" I asked concerned. They were crying like mad." Where is Lisanna!?" I yell out. Everyone around the siblings were all crying.

"I'm sorry Natsu. I'm sorry." Mirajane and Elfmans continue to repeat over and over again. I froze in my place. No way. Behind the two was our favourite blonde.

"Hey um... Where is Lis?" She asked confused. She looked at everyone's sad faces.

"I'm sorry Lucy. I..." Elfman said. Lucy dropped her umbrella as she fell to her knees.

"No. No. No. No! NO! She couldn't! She wouldn't! SHE PROMISED TO COME HOME!!!" Lucy said. Her head was down. She was drenched in both her own tears and the rain.

"Please Lucy forgive me." Elfman said. He wanted to comfort her but failed. She pushed away from her own siblings comforting hug. She then started to run. No one knew where. No one knew how to comfort her. But we all knew nothing could ever make her happy again.

I look at Happy and his own name would mean the complete opposite of his current emotions. He was crying like never before. I bend down to hug my little cat. I wished I could have done more then just hug the little guy.

No one did anything normal that day. Everyone was mourning over the death of Lisanna. Mirajane and Elfman left for their home. I went up the hill where we first took care of Happy as an egg.

"Natsu what are we doing here?" Happy asked.

"Long ago me and Lucy made a promise. Even though I may be dumb I will never forget a promise I made. I promised to make a grave for Lisanna. So I will." I then made her grave.

"Why here. Isn't there already a grave at the church?"

"Lisanna doesn't belong in a place like that, besides she loved the sunset here." I placed a lily on it. It had been Lisanna's favourite flower.

Time skip 1 week..

Everything had gone back to normal. Well kind of. Mirajane had completely lost her will to fight and is now serving as the guilds barmaid. She became kinder to. She apologised to Erza for being mean to her. Elfman to has changed. Because he was the reason Lisanna died he never wanted to use his Beast Take Over.

But the saddest part about all of this was that Lucy hasn't been seen for a week. Her siblings say she had been locked up in her room crying. She wouldn't even eat. Sadly because Lucy's keys were with her, Erza couldn't summon them or anything. I had, had enough of her being sad.

Now I am running to her house. Erza and Gray told me to keep an eye on the place while their on a job. Lucy doesn't know this so I am going to cheer her up. A good thing to know about Lucy is that she never locks her window. So I'm going to go through her window.

I ask Happy to fly me to her window. Looking through I could see her crying. I open the window slowly. Sobbing was heard.

Lucy POV..

I was crying. I didn't care for how long I cried. My best friends was gone. She broke our promise. 

"Why did you leave? Why did you brake your promise?" I kept asking the same questions over and over again for who knows how long.

"Didn't Lisanna say all things will die one day." I hear someone say. I turn around to see.

"Leave me alone Natsu. I don't want you here." I say harshly. I don't need anyone's comfort. I didn't need anyone's pity. I just needed Lisanna.

"Don't be like this Lucy. What would Lisanna say if she saw you like this."

"She wouldn't have said anything, she's dead." I say bluntly.

"But your sad tears wont bring her back. Do you want others to be sad." Natsu said. His hand was on my shoulder. I turn around and hugged Natsu. I cried on his shoulders.

"I know I'm being selfish. I'm sorry I'm like this Natsu. I'm sorry I can't just deal with her death." I say. He patted my head. I sniffle a bit.

"It's still early, do you want to go visit her grave?" He ask. I nodded my head. Natsu wiped away my tears revealing my bloodshot eyes. I see Happy crying. I was selfish for making others sad because of me.

Natsu told me Erza-Nee and Gray-Nii went out on a job saying he had to take care of me. I decided to wear the cloak Lisanna gave me. I start to walk towards the church where her grave was but then Natsu took my arm.

"Your going the wrong way." He said. I was a little confused.

"What do you mean wrong way. Her grave is at the church isn't it?" I ask dumbly.

"Don't tell me you yourself forgot the promise. Lets go it's this way." Natsu then started to drag me to the grave he made for her. I started to remember my promise. If one of us were to die then the others would have to make a grave and keep the guild happy.

At Lisanna's grave..

I sat next to Lisanna's grave while Natsu and Happy watched.

"Lisanna I'm sorry I couldn't protect you. I am going to train so I can take care of the rest of my family. I won't let anyone get hurt. I'll visit you another time ok." I picked myself up from the ground.

"Lushie are you ok?" Happy asked me. I smiled at the little cat.

"Ya I am Happy. From today on I will train to protect my family. Please don't worry If I don't go to the guild." I say. We all headed back to my home.

Erza: I came back for that. (Pointing at a piece of cake.)
