Chapter 1

[A/N] : Hi everyone! (This is actually my first time writing a fanfic so I'm kinda nervous, keke~)

I got this idea for a story while watching EXO's Lucky One MV and I was like, wow, this is amazing. So I decided to give this idea a try though I may not be that good at it. (Haha)

I will also include scenes from other MVs such as Monster and Wolf in the story.

Since my bias is Baekhyun I decided to put him as the main part of the story, but don't worry, other characters will be included as well. And if you're hoping for Chen, Kai and Sehun I have to apologize, they won't turn up until the far end of the story. (Oops)

Anyway, thank you so much for wanting to read my story and I will try to keep you guys updated (cause I'm the lazy kind).

Enjoy! ^_^

Pain.

That was the only thing he felt for the past 24 hours. Voices turned into dreams, and dreams into nightmares, lingered on in the darkness. There was shouting, shards of broken glass flying everywhere, the temperature rising rapidly, soon faded into nothing. More voices, gentler this time, men in white, needles, blue liquid swirling in a bag of water, before darkness overtook again.

He opened his eyes, the brightness making him blink, before things came into focus.

A long white beam of light.

He stared until his eyes hurt. Fascinated, he moved his arm to touch it, only to realise that it was stuck. He tried again, harder. Nothing. Panic started to eat him. He struggled, but winced as pain shot up his body.

Just then, a woman dressed in white came in. She was wearing a red mask that shielded her eyes and was holding a clipboard. He stopped short and stared. Who was this strange-looking woman?

The woman, however, had a different reaction. She walked up to him and did a quick check up. Then, she wrote something down on the clipboard and pushed a button on her belt. A loud buzz sounded, causing him to flinch and look around. Only then did he realise what this place is.

A hospital. Well, sort of.

The walls were all white. And the room had nothing except a bed, a door, and a large window.

"Hello."

He turned his head. A man in a lab coat stood in front of him. He hadn't heard him come in.

"Who are you? Where am I? And why can't I move?" He shot questions at him.

"Now, now. All your questions will be answered soon enough."

The man walked over to the woman and took the clipboard from her. He smiled as he read it. "Wow, you're recovering very well! And fast too."

He frowned. There was something about this guy that made him feel uncomfortable. The way he speaks like a snake waiting to eat it's prey.

"I want my answers. Now."

The smile faded. He sighed. "Very well. Let me introduce myself. I am Professor Nick, a scientist and inventor. You are in one of the medical rooms of our underground base. And as for your inability to move, oh, it'll wear off in a few minutes. Don't worry. This is just one of our...safety precautions, yes."

He narrowed his eyes. "Safety precautions? For what?" But the professor waved his hands dismissively.

"Now, no more questions," he said. "Your brain won't be able to handle it."

"Handle what?"

"Shush!" Professor Nick held a finger to his mouth.

He growled. "I'm not a 6-year-old."

"I know." The smile was back on again and he snapped his fingers. "Natalie! If you would mind."

The woman-----Natalie-----nodded and brought out a syringe. She came forward and reached towards his neck. He started to struggle again. The professor held him down.

"It won't hurt."

"What's in that thing?!"

"It's none of your concern." He nodded to Natalie. "Do it. Now."

He felt a sudden prick of pain on his neck, before everything became blurry. He tried to speak but couldn't, and his body felt heavy. But before fading into darkness once again, he looked out the big window and widened his eyes. Soon, the medicine became to string for him to bear, and so he finally gave up. But what he saw still stayed with him.

A familiar face.
. . .
Screams. Cuts. Fire. The ground came closer and closer. There was a loud thump, dirt flying everywhere, and it soon became quiet. He came to slowly, the world moving. No, someone was shaking him. The person looked familiar.

The window...

The person fell suddenly, pain and shock surging on his face. Red fluid flows out. Blood. In panic, he looked around. Men in black surrounded them, threatened them with guns and weapons. He looked back down. Eyes closed, the familiar person lay unmoving.

A gun clicked behind him. He turned around. A man dressed differently aimed a weapon at at his head. He said something he couldn't hear, muffled. The man kicked him, and repeated what he said. With uneven breaths, he looked up at him, growling inhumanly. He felt himself change. Bigger. Stronger. The man dropped his gun and looked with fear.

A sudden agonizing pain ripped through his body. He screamed, falling to his knees
A sinister laugh came from above and add he looked up, something flew to his head, before everything turned black.
. . .
He shot up, screaming pain cracked through his skull and sweat was putting down his forehead. For a moment he just sat there, wondering what had happened. His mind was racing add he suddenly realised that he wasn't in the same medical room he woke up in anymore. Instead, he was in a dim-litted room with metal walls and no windows.

"Baekhyun!"

Upon hearing his name, he turned his sharply, not caring for the throbbing pain that had bursted through and gave a gasp. Standing in front of him, alive and smiling, were all his fellow friends.

Shy but caring caring oldest brother Xiumin; calm and responsible Suho; sensitive but pessimist Lay; quiet but fierce D.O.; and lastly his best friend happy virus Chanyeol.

He was happy, relieved and shocked at the same time as, one by one, they came forward and started talking to him.

"Thank goodness you're okay!"

"Where were you? We came in an hour ago!"

"I saw you! You were with that professor guy!"

That last one came from Chanyeol. He was glad that Baekhyun was alive and well, but he was deeply curious. "What did he say? Did he do anything?"

"H-he injected me with something," Baekhyun said, remembering. "He put me to sleep. Said it's none of my concern."

His friends looked at each other, before Suho finally spoke up. Apparently, they all had woken up to the same white room and had met Professor Nick, but hadn't been infected with anything.

"Just kicked is in here," he finished. "Saying that we'll see you soon enough."

Everyone started at Baekhyun silently, but his thoughts went to something else.

"What happened?" He asked. "How did we get here?"

"You don't remember?"

"No..."

Chanyeol looked over to Suho, who have him the tiniest shake of his head, and everyone suddenly looked uneasy. Baekhyun eyed them suspiciously.

"What is it?"

"We crashed," Xiumin answered, feeling that they shouldn't keep it from him. "They attacked is and we crashed."

A vision flashed in his mind. Holes cracked through the glass and our became hot. Too hot.

"I don't get it," he frowned. "Crashed where? Why are you guys being so secretive?"

"We were visiting this place. But then our ship was hit and we fell. I guess they saw us, 'cause they started spring at us."

He blinked, confused. Lay took over. "They thought we were aliens," he said in disgust. "Trying to invade their home."

"Hold on, what is this place again?"

Before any of his friends could answer, the big metal door frowned suddenly and clicked open. A man in a familiar black suit stood there with his gun. He had a helmet on, preventing others from seeing his face.

"Get up. Professor Nick wants to see you." He grunted.

"What for?" Suho asked.

"No idea. Now move. Before I put a bullet in your head."

They got up and moved towards the door. Baekhyun got up too, from the bed, but was stopped by the man.

"Not you. The professor will speak to you. Alone." And with that, he closed the doors and locked it. He say back down and sighed.

What were they hiding? He knew his friends wasn't telling him something. We crashed. Xiumin's voice echoed in his mind. Crashed where? What is this place? Where did they come from? He really couldn't remember. His head started to hurt again. He pressed his fingers to his temples, trying to soothe the pain.

"Headache? We have medicines for that."

He gave a small cry as he turned around to see Professor Nick standing there in the same white lab coat.

"Sorry. Did I interrupt you're thoughts?" The professor gave an apologetic smile.

"When did you..."

The professor's smile turned into a mocking sad one. "Aww. So busy thinking that you didn't even hear me come in?"

He received an angry glare.

"What do you want? Where did you take my friends?"

"Really, all you ever do is all questions. Relax, you'll see them in a moment. I just had to have a word with you."

Professor Nick grabbed a chair that was nearly poor under a desk and brought it over to Baekhyun. He sat down, taking out a poem and a piece of paper and began questioning him.

"Now, how are you feeling?"

Baekhyun looked at him as I'd he was crazy. He sighed. "Just answer me."

"Fine. Just a bit of a headache."

The professor scribbled on there paper. "Mm-hmm. And, do you remember anything?"

"No," he answered. "I was about to find out, before one of your fits interrupted us."

"Right." He scribbled some more. "One last thing," he looked up. "I'm only doing this to test your reaction. So be ready."

Baekhyun nodded, wondering what the professor was going to do as he stood up. Suddenly, he went behind the chair, picked it up, and swung it at him. For a moment, he was frozen in place, not knowing what to do. But then he brought out his hands in front of him and braced for impact. A burst of light shot out and the chair was broken to pieces.

As what was left of the broken chair feel to the ground, Baekhyun, good arms still outstretched, was rooted to the spot.

"What...did I...just do?"

The professor just smiled. "What I hoped you would do."

Baekhyun broke his gaze from his hands and looked at him, his face full of shock and disbelief.

"You hoped I did that?"

"Precisely. Now, I know you are stunned but I want you to know this. That was just s part of what you can do. You might not know it, bit you are strong. I can help you to become stronger. You just have to trust me. Okay?"

Baekhyun nodded, not knowing what to say. He turned to look at the broken chair.

"Oh, don't worry. We'll replace that." Professor Nick said, writing furiously on the piece of paper. "Now, I'm going to sedate you, so that you can calm down and get rid of that headache."

"I want to see my friends."

"You'll see them once you wake up." He brought out a syringe and inserted it into Baekhyun's neck. This time, he didn't move.

As the all-too-familiar blurriness came to his eyes, he heard the professor's words

"All you have to do is trust me."
