bonus chapter
one last adventure?

with a six year old daughter, a set of two year old twins, and a big fluffy dog, peter and nova didn't have much time to themselves anymore.

almost everything they did now was for their family — of course they continued to be friendly neighborhood heros, but they were much more committed to their family than the other life they held.

"here's your lunch, abs." peter smiled widely as he handed his daughter, abby, her own lunch. it was filled with cut up snacks and her favourite, spider-man cookies.

bucky barnes, or grandpa as the kids like to call him, was taking all the parker children out for the day so peter and nova could have the day to themselves.

a ding dong like chime sounded through the house, and at that sound nova peeked up from her place in the kitchen. "kids! is that grandpa?" novas voice echoed loudly, and footsteps were what followed.

abby who was only six years old, had both her younger brothers hands in her own as she lead them wobbly towards the front door. abby swung it open to reveal her grandpa, bucky. and of course sam stood there too.

"grandpa!" abby exclaimed in joy as bucky kneeled down and wrapped all three of his grandkids in a hug. "you're here!"

"of course i am," bucky smiled at his granddaughter.

"pa." jamie, named after bucky, tugged in his grandpas pant leg. "up please."

bucky scooped jamie up with one arm, and picked up mathew with his other. he held them as he walked towards the kitchen, knowing that's where his daughter and son-in-law were.

"hello mr. barnes." peter waved with a smile, a long time ago he would have been scared to stay in a room with the ex-winter solider, only because he was dating the mans daughter.

"peter, hello." bucky smiled with a nod of his head.  he came to term that his daughter was dating peter, and that there was absolutely nothing he could do. "how are you? the big-ol-five year anniversary is coming up soon."

peter grinned. "it is! that's why we asked you to babysit, figured we'd go out now."

"don't listen to him dad. i've had this planed for months. they had a cancelation and we were next in line." nova stepped into the room, her hands on her hips as she looked between her husband and father. her daughter standing beside her with her own hands placed on her hips.

"hey!" bucky raised his hands in surrender, all well holding his grandchildren. "i never said i was listening."

nova and peter chucked. peter went to move around the kitchen as he packed a few snacks for him and nova. well peter was packing for his and novas day trip of some kind, nova hand crouched down so she was face to face with abby.

"sweetheart, you'll be good right? make sure jamie and mathew don't get into trouble? remember, you and grandpa are the boss." nova spoke kindly as she smiled.

abby nodded, "yes mommy."

"wonderful, you all have fun okay. be good. call me if you need anything dad!" nova yelled as she left the front door, peter following right behind her.

"where are we going?" peter whined.

"it's a surprise."

"no." peter deadpanned as he looked towards the room.

it's new, brand new and it's expensive. but there's a place that can fulfil your reckless needs. wanna skydive? you can do that here. wanna swim with sharks? you can do that too.

"welcome to reckless needs. where you can fulfil your wildest adventures." a lady who smiled brightly behind the front desk said as the two walked in. "how can i help you?"

peter didn't continue to walk forward. he still stood by the entrance with big doe eyes, a star struck look on his face. nova laughed slightly as she walked forward and left her husband to stand there.

"think we could do this?" nova questioned as she placed a piece of paper on the counter.

the woman nodded as she grabbed two clip boards from behind the counter. "you'll need to fill these out before we can continue, i assume this is a surprise?"

"it is, and thank you." nova grinned as she turned around and handed peter a form to fill out. all it stated was that if they died, they couldn't sue. "sign this pete, please."

peter snapped out of his whole thing and nodded. he started to read through the paperwork and signed where he needed too. "thank you, baby."

when everything was signed, and peter was mostly over his shock at being at one of the coolest places ever. ( maybe that was an understatement, because this is definitely how he acted when he first went into the avengers tower. )

"if you'd follow me please." the woman behind the desk lead the the two towards one of the rooms where the adventures began. when they reached the room, she smiled brightly and opened the door. "welcome to your adventure."

peter and nova were standing across from each other. it's the winter time and really, there's not much to do. but nova, she really outdid herself.

"you did this for me?" peter questioned softly as he looked around in awe.

"i did. i called ahead awhile ago, and they were able to get ahold of the company." nova explained as she wrapped her arm around her husband, leaning her head against his chest.

peter wrapped his arms around his wife. "gosh, i love you. so so much baby."

in front of the two stood a Ferris wheel. the exact one that they had ridden those years ago when they were completing mays lucky list.

they got onto their own little seating, it's was only them in the room beside the operator.

"thank you, so so much." peter kissed his wife's cheek as the ride started up.

"thank you, pete."

"oh, and here. this is for you." nova handed peter a piece of paper.

peter looked at it, looking everything over and over again. "no."

it was a list. another lucky list.
