Lucy's POV

      I opened my groggy eyes and grunted. Damn my head hurts. I walked out into the living room to get some water.

      A hand shot up from the couch and it was holding something. I opened it and found pain reliever, then a water bottle popped up. "Thanks Natsu" I said before taking the pills.

     "Oh I'm surprised you didn't think it was Luke." I leaned over the couch and looked down at him "now why would I think you were Luke, you're always the one who saves me, even over hang overs" I giggled a little.

     "Yea yea, make me food as my reward" he said waving his hand to shoo me off. I scrunched my face up and poked his noise

     "Hai! Hai! What will it be today oh hero of mine." I heard him start chuckling "well my fair maiden I shall ask for extra spicy eggs and bacon!"

      Then I started laughing "you're such a weirdo." "Takes one to know one" he came back at me "damn shots fired" we both laughed while I cooked.

       "Natsu what day is it." He looked at me funny "it's Saturday Luce, Saturday" I sighed "after we eat you can go ahead and leave"

      I plopped his food on the plate and handed him the hot sauce. "What why? I thought we could hang out maybe do a movie day."

      I smiled "I can't today, my dads cutting me off Monday, I need a job or I won't be able to pay rent." He grunted "why can't you just move in with me?"

   I started blushing "B-Baka!! Why w-would I?!" "I'm just saying, you already have a room there and you know you're always welcome, shit my mom would probably cry tears of joy."

     I smiled that's right if I can't find a job soon I know I'll have some where to go till I can.

    Natsu started talking again snapping me out of my world "you're the one you was crying saying that you didn't wanna be a hobo, remember"

    I started laughing and gasped for air. "Yeah I remember, I bet I looked and sounded so stupid huh? But I guess I am stupid" he raised an eye brow at me "whatcha mean?"
  
    I sat down next to him "I was so worried that if I couldn't find a job I'd be Alone and a hobo or worse have to crawl back to My father. But you reminded me I have a family that loves me and would care for me till I can get on my feet again."

    I could have sworn I saw a tint of pink in Natsus cheeks but it was quickly cut but his sudden hug "yea Luce you really are stupid, why would you ever think you're alone."

     I smiled and hugged him back tightly "I'm sorry I won't do it again" "good" I pulled out of the hug and walked out to start my shower

    "Natsu go ahead and Get dressed, you're either going home or job hunting with me" I called out "yea I got it"

Natsu POV

     Me and Lucy were walking around town while she applied for different jobs. "Yes thank you, I understand, oh okay, sorry to waste your time" was all I heard from Lucy.

     "Let's go get some coffee at Mira's okay, take a rest" she nodded and walked towards the little cafe. Once inside we sat at our normal stop and waited for the waiter.

     "Jeez I can't believe no ones hiring." Lucy's sighed. "I'm sorry for the wait I'm a little short handed, what can I get you?" Then lady with the long white hair smiled.

     I saw Lucy's eyes sparkle "how about a pumpkin scone (like the ones at starbucks😻) and a job." Mira's mouth dropped "you'd work here!"

      I budded in "we both will!" I smiled at Lucy who was also smiling. "Thank you both, hey umm do you think after you eat you could maybe start?"

    She sounded so desperate. "Of course!" "Thank you so so much!" "No thank you!!" Lucy responded back.

     After Mira left I turned to Lucy . "Hey Natsu?" She asked me while she leaned her chin on the palm of her hand staring out the window. "What's up?"

    "What happened last night?" I was a little shocked, I guess she didn't remember. "What do you remember?" I asked her.

    "Hmm I remember dancing all night I kind of remember you walking over to me really late then I can't remember. That's what's I'm wondering about"

    "oh I actually had to uh drag you out cause you were so drunk, when I got back to your house I threw you on your bed. I left to go get a water bottle when I came back you uh.."

     "I what?" She looked so curious "you were already asleep" I recovered quickly. '

     It's probably better if I didn't tell her what she said or that we almost kissed. Because I had only had two beers I was sober enough, and I almost kissed her.

     She was completely wasted so she probably doesn't feel that way about me and if she finds out I tried to kiss her sober I don't know I don't want things to change between us'

Lucy's POV

     After Natsu finished talking I saw a little hint of pink rise in his cheeks but it faded quickly.

    I guess it was just a dream then, but I could have sworn me and him almost kissed. I wonder what stopped that dream though.

      I started blushing at the things running through my head. 'Bad Lucy! You can't think about things like that!! Natsu doesn't have those kinds of feelings for you.

      Even if I had started developing feelings for him I couldn't tell him. I don't want to ruin our friend ship..'

     "Here you go" Mira came back with our food and drinks and some uniforms. "When you finish eating please change into these and then come find me."

     We nodded and started eating. "What did you get to eat Natsu?" I asked stuffing my pie hole with the pumpkin scone. "Flaming hot stuffed peppers!" I coughed a little.

     "they sell that here!" He nodded and threw like three in his mouth at once. "you're gonna get a stomach ache "

     He shook his head signaling no, I'm glad he didn't try to talk, I'd rather not have food on my face. After we finished eating I stood up and grabbed my outfit and went into the locker room.

    As I was walking out I bumped into Mira. "Oh Lucy, hey Lucy?" "Yea ms. Mira?" "Just Mira! And are you and the pink one dating?"

    My face flushed red "N-no were not, why would you say that?" She smiled "because you two have come in here and sat at the same spot for the last four years and I totally ship you" she clapped her hands together and walked off.

    "What does that even mean?!" I said To my self well so I thought. "What's what mean?" Natsu asked as he walked out in his outfit.

    Man he looks nice in that outfit (the one in the picture) "oh nothing just something Mira said, well let's go!" I said flexing my not so built arms.

     Natsu laughed at them "shh I'm a girl whatever" as we walked out Mira sent Natsu to greet people and have them seated and sent me around getting people's orders and serving.

     The bell rang as a familiar white haired girl came in. "Welcome to Mira's.." I heard Natsu start to greet but didn't finish.

     'did that idiot seriously the word cafe in the end, really?' I thought as I turned around. I was shocked seeing Lisanna here, in all the times I've been here I never seen her.

     She was fidgeting like crazy, 'man shes got it bad.. She must really like Natsu..' I thought. Even though I want Natsu to be happy if hurts a little to see someone else like him.

    "Uh excuse ma'am!" I turned around with a bug smile on my face "coming! How can I help you?" I asked I peeked out the corner of my eye to see Natsu scratching his head, looked like he was trying to answer something. Oh well.

Natsu's POV

    "So uh I didn't know you worked here!" Lisanna sounded a little excited "yea me and Lucy just started like ten minutes ago actually." I said scratching my head.

     "Oh... I see" she looked around "Lucy's here too." "Yup I couldn't let her work alone I'd be too bored and lonely!" I chuckled a bit.

    "I mean if you didn't wanna be lonely you could have just hung out with me.." She said In a low voice. Man she's so weird.

     "yea but I thinks having a jobs kind of fun!" "Lisanna?" We both turn around to see Mira standing in front of us. "Mira-nee!!!" Lisanna jumped on Mira.

     My eyes opened wide "nee? Miras your sister?" I asked a little shocked. They both nodded. "My brother owns the bar down the street. The one with the big sign that say MAN!" She giggled "he's so funny"

     I don't really know what to say "well I got to get back to work" I said walking off.

     Out of no where I here Mira yell "NOOO!!! My ship!!!" Then she fell behind the counter. I looked at Lucy to find her face palming. Does she know something I don't?

     Her and Lisanna walk over and carry her into the locker room. Still confused as ever I start doing all the jobs since two people just left.

    "Hello I'm Natsu can I take you order?" I asked the group of girls who just walked in. They were all giggling, some blushing.

    "yeah can I get a coffee and a side of you to go?" She asked me wiggling her eyebrows and her friends giggled. "I'm sorry ma'am they don't serve Dragneel on the menu."

     With that I walked off annoyed and ready to go home. After working for another 4 hours Mira said that we could go home since the graveyard shift People showed up.

      I went back into the locker room and found Lucy sitting down putting on her shoes "Oi Luce, wanna come over and watch movies with me and Wendy?" She smiled "I love too!"
