Lucy's POV

"Ms. Heartfilia?!" I blinked my eyes a couple times realizing I had spaced out looking out the window. "Yes Ma'am?" Some of my class mates laughed at me, the teachers eye twitched as she turned back around "class is over now but you have detention after school" I sighed dang it.

The bell rang and I went out for lunch, feeling bummed I made my way to the roof. As I walked threw the door I heard something above me. Turning around I saw Natsu jumping off the little shed over the stair case.

"You!" I raised an eye brow "yes?" I asked noticing the sharpie still on his face. "I don't know what you did but I'm in trouble now!" "Ahaha Natsu! Come here you idiot" he pouted and walked over to me, I pulled out my hand mirror and showed him his face.

His eyes opened wide then he glared at me. "That's wrong on so many levels Luce" I took out a water from my bag then my handkerchief and started wiping his face "I honestly thought you would have noticed by now Natsu.. There all clean" I showed him the mirror again. He looked left then right "okay good"

"hey Natsu can I ask you what lisanna wanted earlier?" I asked a little nervous for some reason. "Oh yea, I don't know she ran away after looking kind of scared, probably cause of your masterpiece." I sighed I felt a little relieved. "Oh" was all I could respond.

*boom* *rumble* *crash*

I looked over and shivered seeing the lighting and hearing the thunder coming in the distance. "Come on Luce, don't need you freezing up cause you're scared of storms" I nodded standing up.

"Oh I don't know if I can come over, I got detention for spacing out in class." "Really I got detention too!" I furrowed my eye brows at him "me and Gray started fighting in class, that and the little prank you pulled." He said in a duh tone. "At least I won't be alone"I mumbled

We walked in silence till we got to class. "You can leave now" the teacher said shooing us out "ah I thought that would never end! Class went by so fast but detention was hell!" Natsu exclaimed.

We stood at the schools entrance, it was storming, great. "Come on Lucy, it's better if we just run for it. Oh and here." He pulled out some head phones putting them over my ears "to block out the thunder" he showed me that big toothy grin and grabbed my hand dragging me out into the rain.

We ran and ran till we came up on the house, despite them being rich as hell they have a normal sized house, two levels and a basement.

"I'm home!" Natsu yelled "Natsu-San!!! Ahhh Lucy-nee!!!" She pounced on Lucy. "Ey! I'm your big brother yet you address Lucy as your big sister!!" Natsu yelled "I've always wanted an oneesan, Baka." She stuck her tongue out at him. He did it back.

"sorry to steal your 'oneesan' but we're going down stairs to my room."Natsu smirked "no fair!! You know I'm scared of the basement oniisan!!" She cried running off to her room.

I punched Natsu's arm slightly giggling. "Why are you so mean to Wendy, she's so Kawaii"he grunted then pulled to his room. I sat on his bed shivering, one I'm drenched two his room is a tomb. I looked up to see Natsu coming over the bath room pulling off his wet shirt throwing it in the sink.

I know I've seen Natsu shirtless before and that he's very handsome, I know that but damn! Look at his chest! Like jeez. I bit my lip a bit then started blushing when I looked up to see Natsu staring at Me. 'Shit! Lucy that's your Bestfriend what are you even thinking up there!?!?' I thought.

"Here, go change. You've got goosebumps" he handed me one of his shirts and a pair of his basketball shorts. I went in the bathroom to change. 'Ahh his clothes are so comfy and warm' I wiggled around then pulled my phone out.

1 missed call ~ Dad

I sighed and called him back. Oh of course he started screaming at me for not answering them continued down the line of other non sense. I leaned against the bathroom down and fell down on my butt while he yelled threw the phone.

He told me I was worthless and a piece of shit of daughter and how much he hated me. I've heard it all before but I couldn't help but cry. Oh and I'm cutting you off starting next week. With that he hung up. I sat in shock , I didn't have a job or money, I'm gonna be alone and a hobo!! I started crying again.

*thud*

I fell back and hit the ground hard, as Natsu opened the door causing me to fall back. He looked down at and noticed I was crying "Luce wh-" "I DONT WANNA BE A HOBO!!!!" I cried out then started crying Harder.

I felt his arms wrap around me and carry me to the couch. "N-Natsu what are you doing?" "I'm not just gonna leave you on the ground silly" his smile disappeared "was it that excuse of a father of yours?" He asked sternly. I nodded, Natsu knows everything my dad calls me and has done to me in the past.

He grabbed my phone "NO!! Natsu don't!" I shrieked jumping up to grab my phone but he held me down with his hand in my head.I felt like a little kid trying to take something back from their big sibling.

"Hello. This is Natsu! Look you bastard stop harassing lucy! She's not worthless, you are. How can you even call your self a father!" Natsu continued to yell at my dad threw the phone.

I covered my mouth, tears flowed out my eyes. "Natsu.." I whispered his name and reached my hand out to him. "Please...stop.." He hung up then threw my phone across the room sending it flying onto his bed.

He looked over at me then ran over to me. He embraced me with a tight hug. My stiff body grew jello like and I hugged him back tightly. I continued to cry into his bare chest. 'He's so warm' I thought as my chills had gone away.

He patted my head "don't even listen to him Luce, you're not anything he said got it?" He pulled me out of the hug and looked down at me "Luce please don't tell me you ever believe any of those lies" his voice sounded worried.

I couldn't help but start crying again. "Natsu.. I.. I've been alone since my mom died, he was the only one around. I did, I started believing everything he said. That's why I left, I couldn't stand it no more." He sighed pulling me into another hug. Whispering "it's alright , shhh, you're not alone anymore Lucy"

'He's right. I had him, his family, who I loved and all my wonderful friends' I smiled and pulled back "Lucy-nee?" We both looked over at Wendy who was staring at us confused.

Realizing I was still in half naked Natsus embrace I pulled back and jumped on the couch. "I'm Fine Wendy, hey! Let's play some video games" I saw her eyes light up. I wipe my tears then put in mortal kombat.

"Come on Wendy switch with me!!" I yelled "yall are cheating!!" Natsu cried out "no we're not, if we played against you alone you'd beat us!" Wendy argued back. After a few hours of playing different games Wendy fell asleep on my lap. "Natsu.. Psst" he looked over at me and noticed Wendy and smiled.

*knock knock*

His mom, Grandie, came in and gasped pulling out a camera

*click* *flash* *snap*

"I think Im now blind" I giggled rubbing my eyes . "Ahh this is going in a photo frame!" She whispered and yelled "Natsu take her up to her room, Lucy I take it your staying the night?" I nodded "okay I'll walk you to your room."

The quest room, also know as my room. Literally it has like half my closet and some of my things since I stay here so much. Natsus mom loves me so much. Some times I think Natsu jealous.

I looked over to see Natsu carrying Wendy like a baby while he laid her on the bed. We both smiled at each other, I leaned down and kissed her forehead "goodnight Wendy" I whispered as I walked out.

"Hey, Lucy. You're really good with kid you know that." Natsu told me as we walked to my room. Out of no where his mom showed up "of course she's good with kids and can Cook and is beautiful. Natsu!" She slapped the back of his head "ouch! What was that for women!"he yelled "all the time you've know Lucy why aren't yall dating!?!"

Me and Natsu both looked at each other and started blushing madly "we don't Have that kind of relationship ma'am." I stated twiddling my thumbs. "Mhmm okay okay, good night darling." She said as she walked off. "Night mom" "I wasn't talking to you Natsu!"

I swear dropped then looked at Natsu who was glaring at me "what?" "My mother loves you more than her own flesh and blood, jeez" he waved and walked off "night Natsu" I called out as I closed my door. I went and laid on the bed and drifted asleep.

*bam!* *boom!*

My eyes shot open in horror. Lighting filled my room in a flash then disappeared. Over and over after every thunder. It was 3:20am, I can't stand it! I crawled out of bed with my blanket wrapped around me as if it would protect me.

I crept down the flight of stairs, across the living room. Stopped by the kitchen to grab a water then down the stairs to the basement. I stood over Natsus bed. I bent down and poked his cheek a couple of times "Natsu.. Natsu psst" his hand grabbed my wrist tightly "gah!" "Eh Luce what you do"

*Boom!*

The house rumbled a bit but I was already on Natsu's bed hiding behind his back. "Uh Lucy, I forgot you don't like storms." He spoke softly ,slowly turning around to face me. "Don't worry I'll protect ya, just lay down alright."

I nodded and laid down next to him. My racing heart slowed, just being by him made me feel safer. I scooted a bit closer to him and he wrapped his arm around me. "I'll.. Protect you luc.." I kind of heard him mumble as we both fell asleep.

Grandines POV

I went into Natsus room to go wake him for school but when I came in I saw him and Lucy cuddling!!! Ahhh I can't even!! I ran out grabbed the camera and took a snap. They're so cute!! They say its not like that, but with this evidence I'm sure it is. Hehe oh Natsu you better get your stuff together young man.
