Author's POV

Not long after the FaceTime call ended, Bridget was pushing Catherine to get ready. All Catherine wanted in that moment was to solve the mystery of the letter and the flowers. But knowing her friend has put time and effort in to making her birthday special, she sets it aside.

While she is showering, Bridget and Ashley (Halsey) are talking about the flowers. B can tell that Ashley knows something, so she tries to get her to say what is going on. As much as she wants to, Ashley knows she can't. She made a promise to Namjoon not to tell anyone. But she sees how confused Cath and Bridget are, and she is wondering what will happen when the truth comes out.

After the girls are ready, they get in Bridget's car. Leaning over to Catherine with a mischievous smile, Bridget hands her a blindfold. Objecting to it, Catherine pouts. Ashley is giggling at her cute behavior, but encourages her to just go with it. Giving in, she ties the blindfold on, and Bridget drives off. They put music on and the three girls have a mini concert on the way... When the car comes to a stop, Ashley is impressed. The beach club set up is amazing, and she knows they are going to have a good time.

They get out of the car, and drag Catherine to the beach. There is a grill set up, and some of her friends are already gathered before "The Main Event". Catherine takes the blindfold off, and can't believe what her best friend has put together. They spend the next few hours eating hamburgers, hot dogs, and kebabs. The bar is open already, and only serving different versions of Catherine's favorite drink.

Margaritas were being consumed by the happy gathering, and Catherine was feeling very good. The small group of girls from the afternoon pose for a picture together to remember what fun they had.

Much Later...

Catherine is pretty drunk, but in control. She is dancing with a crowd of her old friends and laughing a lot. Bridget and Ashley are happy to see her so relaxed. Catherine's friend Josh is twirling her around and they are giggling like crazies.

Catherine suddenly remembers about the cartoon she'd asked Josh to draw. Josh is a graphic design major, and he helps the girls with alot of signs and other things for the business. Occasionally he'll draw things for their school projects, and he loves doing it.

Catherine had asked him a while back to draw a cartoon for her to gift to Jungkook on his birthday that is coming up. She is trying to befriend him because she doesn't want any of Hobi's friends to dislike her. So, Josh has created "Elevator Boy" the cartoon. They chat excitedly about it, and she can't wait to see what he came up with. It'll either make Jungkook laugh, or he'll hate her more...

Making plans to meet the next day to finish it up, and take it for shipping, she's feeling good about her decision. The party continues late into the night. Many drunk friends wish Catherine well, and she is lighter than she has been in a long time. The only other people happier than the party-goers were the Uber drivers making multiple pick-ups and raking in the tips.

On the other side of the world...

Hoseok hasn't slept. He's upset and doesn't know what to do. The handwriting on the flower card looked like Jungkook's. Was he the author of the letter too? If it's not him, it has to be one of the other members... Those lyrics are unknown to anyone else. A sick feeling has settled in his gut... Is Jungkook trying to steal his girlfriend?

Yoongi and Jungkook talked, and the younger was unapologetic about sending the flowers. He's tired of the lies, and didn't feel like confronting his Hyung. He doesn't think he should have to. Yoongi can't disagree... But he wonders how this shy boy will handle things once Catherine finds out that HE wrote the letter that touched her heart... She will surely want to speak to him...

Namjoon's POV

I've only had about 3 hours of sleep when an angry Hoseok wakes me up.

I open my sleepy eyes and glare at Hoseok. "What's going on?"

"Did Jungkook send the flowers?"

"You would have to ask Jungkook."

"Is he crazy? Did he write the letter too?"

"Again... You should ask him this. I don't have the answers."

"Is he trying to steal my girlfriend? I don't understand what's happening..."

"Hobi... It's early, and I haven't really slept, so I'm sorry if I sound like an asshole, but if you want the answers, you'll have to ask HIM!"

"WHAT.THE.FUCK.IS.HE.DOING?! I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS SHIT!!!"

An angry Hoseok then storms out of my room and slams the door.
It's going to be the best day...

Author's POV

The guys head out to dance practice after eating a quick breakfast. The tension is thick and noone is talking. Yoongi wants to clear the air, but he's not sure it's the right time. Hobi and Jungkook are shooting daggers at each other, but neither of them is saying anything.

Taehyung, not liking the tension, finally asks "Can someone please tell me what is happening?"

He's greeted with silence.

He tries again... "This is dumb. Someone needs to say something!"

Jin attempts to calm him. "Tae... It's not the time."

Taehyung doesn't agree and continues. "What? Hyung, there is a problem, and we're supposed to talk about it. I'm tired like everyone else, but this shit is stupid...  sorry hyung..."

Jin  sighs "Tae... It'll be better to wait. We will talk it out, but we need to focus on our schedule for now."

Namjoon agrees, and puts an end to it for now. "Jin's right. Let's focus on the schedule. We WILL talk this out later."

Saying this, Namjoon was giving a look to both Hoseok and Jungkook.

After dinner

Namjoon gathered everyone up to try and fix the morale. It's not going very well because Hoseok and Jungkook aren't talking. Yoongi has had enough... Pointing at Hobi and JK...

"You 2 need to talk. we can stay here or you can go to a room and have privacy. But it's going to happen today... It's affecting the team now, so clear it out!!"

Jungkook frowns and shrugs his shoulders stubbornly while talking back. "I don't know what I've done wrong. So I don't have much to say."

"Jungkook-ah... You have things to say... I KNOW you do!"

Hobi finally speaks and asks what he wants answers to. "I just want to know why Jungkook?"

"Really? YOU want to know why what Hyung?"

"Why did you send my girlfriend that letter? And the flowers? WHY Jungkook?"

Jimin and Taehyung snap their heads up in surprise at what was just revealed.

"Oh... The letter you let her believe YOU WROTE?!?"

"Why did you send that to my girlfriend?"

"She wasn't your girlfriend when I sent it... And I wanted to tell her that people cared about her... Why didn't you tell her that you didn't send it when she talked to you about it? Hmmm??"

"I screwed up Kook. But you could have told me you sent it. I would have cleared it up sooner..."

"NO! You had a bunch of chances and didn't. You should have. It wasn't right what you did Hyung..."

Tears of frustration start to prick at Jungkook's eyes.

"I am sorry Jungkook. I didn't mean to hurt you... "

Jungkook doesn't speak anymore... He doesn't want to cry. Hobi tries to get up and give him a hug, but he walks away.

Yoongi huffs out a sigh... "Well that went well... Hoseok, give him some time and then talk to him again. Just remember that YOU'RE more wrong than he is right now."

"I'll have to talk to him more... He never answered me about the flowers..."

"Stop worrying about the damn flowers... It was a nice thing he did... Don't think so much bad about it."

The meeting ended and everyone went their own way. Taehyung and Jimin just couldn't believe what they'd heard about Jungkook. He really sent the letter? Does he like her that much? They are trying to figure out how to help both of their members now.
